Countdown to OZ DAY!! YAY! I've gotta go buy a new Aussie hat cos my old one is a little dead. They rekon its guna be the best fireworks in Perth ever... again. Well I will be at the foreshore anyway. Hopefully it will be better than the last couple years at least. There is a partial solar eclipse too.
Its feeling very much like "Tomorrow when the war began".

I even started singing along to my alarm clock this morning cos I was happy bout Oz day 😛 Now Im listening to the hottest 100 and having a liquid breaky 😀
Stay safe and drink LOTS of water 😛
Especially in Perth cos Im sure they put something in it to make us all behave at the foreshore 😉
 
Channel Ten is running Buffy and Angel re-runs at the moment on Saturdays.
At 1AM - 1:15AM it is the Buffy re-run the last one disclosed that Angel is a vampire!

At 10PM it is Angels turn, in the last one some TV actress known as Raven wanted to be a vampire and save her from getting old.

I got so excited when I saw it on tv a few wks back, I didnt think to post it tho! Good to see you back around:)
ANZAC day.. well as bad as it sounds, I have an 18th to go to, so Im going out to get drunk and party. I do try to go to the services every year but some times I just cant get there (sw). The last few years I have stumbled up to Kings Park, or South Perth (still in my clubbing gear) and gone to the dawn service. I was a girl guide in my young days so I feel like I should go every year and at least pay my respects. And in true aussie form, I then crawl in to maccas for breaky and usually head out to a BBQ later in the day.

If I go away I go down south to Albany and go to Mt Clarance, many of the Aussie diggers left for the wars out of the port there and the services are huge. Again though, usually I stumble up the hill aftere being at the club all night. It seems disrespectful now that I think about it, but at least I make an effort I suppose.
 
I had to work at the Moon and Sixpence (on Murray Street) last Anzac Day and it was horrible. It probably would have been okay if I'd had the early shift, but I was stuck with the 3 till close shift. As I walked into work the first thing I saw was a colleague cleaning vomit off a chair. Anzac day should be a day about remembering, unfortunately it's a day filled with propaganda and drunk kids.

(For the record - I got to clean up a spew as well...)

Beats cleaning up vomit for sure!
No plans for ANZAC Day for me as of yet, but..........I got my 900 bucks from K-Rudd! Horray!!!!!!! 🙂. Have any of you got yours yet? What are you going to do with it? spend it all? save it?
 
I think I might have got it, Im not sure. I did have more money in my bank account than I expected so Im thinking I did. Two guesses on what I spent it on (sw) LOL
