I think Bangelus would destroy Bangel.

I can't see Angel being particularly 'okay' with realizing what happened, if (or when) his soul was returned to him after she and Angelus had been together.

It would certainly cause major problems. Apart from the obvious "DEAR GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE!" I would pressume that Angel would be plagued by thoughts of who she prefers, him or Angelus and perhaps how he enjoyed it, or the memories of it, on some, rather base, level. Bangelus would twist Angel into knots.

I don't love Bangelus...I just find the ship interesting. In the thread about fav ship I really had to fit the space...and Bangelus is indeed interesting. Like PB said, in IOHEFY that kiss made me wonder!:biggrin3: I am not saying that ANgelus loves Buffy or could ever love Buffy. But he has Angel's memories, he knows what Buffy means to him. I never really understood what Angelus wanted from Buffy. I always believed that he has an obsession for her and maybe he would turn her into a vampire if he had the chance. And then, maybe all the lust would break loose.

But I would not really like to see Bangelus happening. It would make things very complicated.

And Kean you are definitely right. Besides, if SMG was available, perhaps Buffy would be the one to catch Angelus in s4.(Of course I still love Faith episodes...maybe we could have both Slayers, Buffy vs Angelus and Faith vs the Beast!)

I love that Angelus had all of the memories of having truly and selflessly loved Buffy, making love to her, sleeping naked beside her, Buffy trusting him enough to be her first (Angelus was used to "whores" and raping virgins) and kissing him in vampface, etc. He was just as obsessed and passionate about Buffy as Angel was. He hated her because Angel loved her. He hated her for a lot of the reasons that Angel loved her and was drawn to her in the first place. She was the perfect victim, a mixture of Darla and Drusilla, Angel must have known that Angelus would have seen Buffy's light and pain and would have wanted to destroy her and that was one of the reasons he wanted to do the opposite. She represented goodness and innocence and a purity that Angel would never have. It must have been weird for Buffy to have an enemy that had such intimate memories of her. That knew what it felt like to be inside her, to kiss her, to touch her. Angelus wanted her to take Darla's place just as much as Angel did. Angel staked Darla and Angelus was planning on siring Buffy to be his eternal girlfriend/lover.

Did The Judge count all emotions as human? He put jealousy and affection as traces of humanity. But what about hate? When Angelus first returned in Innocence he must have been so filled with hate for Buffy and for what he was as "Angel" with a soul, living such pathetic life drifting around the world aimlessly and racked with guilt. Could he have later gained some positive emotions and that is why he wanted to destroy the world? He would rather the world end than to be infected with love or any thing good.

I'am not sure he would have sired Buffy. All the indications in season 2 point to him wanting to torture her and kill her. He was furious about how human she made him feel. Thus it doesn't make sense he'd want to have a constant reminder of that which he'd get if he made her a vampire.

I think he thought that siring her might get rid of some of the positive emotions while at the same time letting him keep them. It would have been the ultimate punishment for a Slayer and something Angel would have hated since it would be damning Buffy, turning her evil, and Angelus having his way with her. He would get to feel okay with "loving" her if she was an evil version of herself. She would be a vampire that was once a vampire Slayer. He could be happy knowing he killed and defiled all of the purity in her while at the same time retaining the qualities about her that both Angel & Angelus liked.

The quote you used does make your point sound really convincing. Buffy going evil would have been great to watch. I wouldn't have wanted it to last for a long time but i get the feeling SMG could have been brillant playing a villain.

She played The First so well afterall. Also if her role in Cruel Intentions is anything to go by she would have been extremely hot playing bad Buffy. It would be like season 6 all over again just with Angelus instead of Spike. Would have made for some steamy scenes that's for sure :biggrin3:

She really is great as the First Evil. Shows her quality as an actress. I concur about the scene you mentioned when she mocked Buffy. She was so evil :biggrin

As Kendall in All My Children she still had the talent even at such an early age. In another thread i said how i heard the line "Goodbye Pine Valley" and it had an effect on me and that was the first time i'd seen the show. I can't speak highly enough of SMG, as many of you by now probably know.

I've read great fanfics when Angelus sires Buffy. I think it's right up his alley, I mean - he's the arty guy. Just killing a Slayer wouldn't be enough for him. He would want to ruin everything she stood for
Also his whole obssesion with her of course played into it.


I'll admit that in fanfics I've enjoyed this pairing, or ship, because I love Angelus and I think the idea is interesting.

I can see it happening, it wouldn't be about Buffy being his girlfriend, it would be about making Buffy her own personal nightmare, eternally.

We know that who you were as a person is intimately tied to who you will be as a vamp. Just look at Spike wanting to Sire his mother, or even Dru, torturing Angel and berating him for what he did to her mother. The pain of the past doesn't seem to go away with turning.

Now imagine Angelus turning Buffy, the slayer, and doing that after killing all her friends and family (which he surely would have done and probably made her watch), imagine how that would twist her. Unlike Dru, who was powerless to stop Angelus, Buffy was the only person in the world who not only could have stopped him but was supposed to! On top of that she is the reason he was let out in the first place.

If Angelus had managed to truly turn Buffy into a piece of terrible art like he planned, I'm fairly sure when he was finished it would have made Dru look like Giles!

Buffy was the Slayer, vampires is the thing she hates the most. That's why I believe Angelus would choose to sire her and not just torture her and kill her. Death would give her peace. But as a vampire Buffy would always suffer cause she will always remember who she used to be. My God, I freak out when I think about it!

Yeah maybe it would be like s6 if Buffy went bad, but I don't think that Joss wanted to use sexual scenes in s2. Buffy was still very young, she just lost her virginity to the man she loved the most and feels responsible for the bad consequences of this action. Plus I am really glad she wasn't sexually assaulted by Angelus cause that would traumatise Buffy.

I don't think Buffy would care who she used to be is she becomes a vampire. They are creatures with no soul, they don't feel the difference between the right and wrong, so that's why being bad doesn't seem that wrong to them. She would remember that she was the slayer, but she wouldn't care.

She would care that he hurt her, that's what she would care about. She would feel a similar way to how Angelus felt about his father and we'll all know how that ended.

I think she would care. Not in the same way but it would greatly affect her.

look at what happened with Gunn in the AtF comics.

Drusilla, Spike, Darla, Harmony, Angelus, etc. Vampires are sometimes shaped almost entirely by the human memories. The demon just twists everything around. Spike murdered people with railroad spikes because of "I'd rather have a railroad spike jammed through my head than to listen to that awful stuff" and put on the persona of "Spike" because he thought he was a loser as William. All of Darla's actions as a vampire could go back to the fact that she was an unloved prostitute dying of syphillis. Drusilla was still insane from having lost everything that last year of her life, having been sired right before she became a nun, her family being murdered "Oh, that's right. You killed my uncle".

crazysoulless agrees: So hard to believe the network had standards about what sexual stuff was allowed to be shown. Nowadays, there is a lot more sex on "teen shows", they even encourage it sometimes.


I know about today's shows. That's why I do not easily watch new shows, cause I want a good script not sex scenes all the time! I don't know who stopped the idea about sex scenes in s2, or if they even had an idea about bangelus...I guess someone respected Bangel love!
