You'd be surprised by how many Bangels actually exist. You may not see us as much, but believe me, we are there.

As for the site thing, I just Googled Bangel and got 1,580,000 results and then Googled Spuffy and got 1,320,000.

So, who knows really? I don't think it is definitive by any stretch of the imagination.

Okay, what you googled, are links, mentions, not sites. But if you look specifically, or if you look at ship communities in LiveJournal (for example), there are more spuffies. I don't even look for Spuffy, but find them more.

But who really knows. I just see more Spuffies around. And I'm not saying there are not many Bangels out there, just that back then there were more Bangels, and as time goes by and more people become fans of the show, the number of Spuffies seem to increase, not the other way around. Just saying what I noticed.

Actually, even if there are less Spuffy fans than Bangel fans, I can't help but think of the St. Crispin's Day speech.

I take a similar attitude when people tell me that B/A is in the minority. 😉

And that doesn't even count sites devoted to the shows in general, who ships what there. Taking an actual survey with any hope of accuracy would be a task truly monumental. But do we really even want to know? I think that the mystery is half the fun of the entire thing. If we were able to say "68% of all Buffy fans favor xxxxx ship over yyyyy," it would just take the fun out of it. Who would really keep coming around here or any other forum if everybody agreed on everything? What would be left to discuss and debate? And it's the discussion and debate that I really love, as long as it remains civil and some degree of mature. It lets me make life a living hell for Miss K, because she knows that I'm not going to let her get away with more than just barely enough to keep her coming back for more. (And she does exactly the same thing to me, if she'll just admit it) If we couldn't dance, I would have to go back over to the Highlander forum and debate whether Duncan really loved Tessa or Amanda the most. Now, THAT'S boring!

I honestly don't wanna know either. The part I like most about the Buffyverse, is the Spuffy/Bangel rivality. It's too fun, dammit!

And speaking of "little joys," my 7 year old granddaughter came in yesterday, came running up to me and announced proudly, "I watched Buffy yesterday." (her mother was apparently reluctant about letting her watch the show) "Buffy's cool, but Angel's STUPID!"

Ok, so I'm sitting here watching Surprise (2x13) and I'm smiling to myself (ignoring what's coming up next) and thinking, "Aww, Buffy and Angel are so cute..."

Then I had to take a step back. Whoa. I mean whoa. I don't like Bangel. I'm a Spuffy. What the...what?

I've done about 5 rewatches, and I've never, ever like Bangel. Ever. It's been too slushy and annoyed me, but that hella caught me off guard!

Haha, I'm not saying I'm a convert, but I feel like I'm questioning something huge!

I love Spuffy still, but in this rewatch, his accent has begun to annoy me in season 2, it seems rather fake, which I've never, ever thought before.

This is very strange.

I find that I like them because of my obsession with David. I do find them cute at times but in the end it never lasts lol.

I could never like the Bangel Ship because seriously. Angel just looked so pitiful being so p***y whip when he was with Buffy.

I find it sad that even though Angel has a soul without it he would be a killing machine that would just tear and kill anything in his way, but with Buffy he was nothing more then a lap dog who took orders kept getting so annoying.

I enjoy some Briley moments, but I don't really like the Spuffy moments. When I was 14, and s6 was actually airing, I was all about Spike, only because JM is hot. Now, I can't stand Spike, because I've actually paid attention to his character.

Spike WAS Different with Buffy.

See Angel and Buffy had a relationship. They liked having each other around I guess.

The thing is though Buffy used Spike knowing he liked her. Spike was there for her convenience when ever she wanted to and Spike would go with it in hopes that he could make her like her.
