I thought we already picked the weekend of February 18-21 AKA President's Day.

Due to some issues with Dad losing his job, I probably won't be able to go. Which sucks. =[

Aww, I'm sorry Zoà«! Maybe it will work out so you can...
Although if it's that weekend, I won't be going because my husband will be deploying around that time and I won't be leaving him to go on vacation.

Oh, for some of us NY is too far, and we had been talking about having our own Meetup elsewhere, either simultaneously with the NY one, or at a different time.
 
It would be fun! I don't know if I can get to NY next month though. I have my brother's wedding to save for...
 
Darn I won't be able to make it seeing as I have no money for it 🙁 Plus a friend that had wanted to do a road trip anyways can't make it.
 
I would SO like to meet you guys, but sweden is a little far away from america. But! If any of you would like to meet up in California next year when I'm going there I'll be super happy! 😀

If anybody's still interested, the Comic Con in Atlanta over the Labor Day weekend would be a good place for a get together, especially considering how many Whedon alumni are going to be appearing.

I can't be bought old man!
That would be so fun-Atlanta's doable financially and one of my BFFs lives there. But Labor Day weekend would be hard for me. I wish it was during the summer before school started. 🙁

Speech-language pathologist- I've worked in the public schools for 18 years. Primarily anyway, I've done some home health work & private therapy on the side, but not for awhile.

Teachers have to be the most dedicated professionals in the world, if for no other reason that they have to put up with the unjustified crap some parents give them.
 
I will definitely be able to go if it's DragonCon this year, and will probably (like 99% probably) be able to do anything that happens in Atlanta on any weekend. And if DragonCon it is, I'm sure we'll have quite a few peoples attending. I can think of at least three off the top of my head.
 
Just reviving this to say I'll be in Chicago for the Comic Con in August if anyone fancies meeting up 🙂
