BB Money

I have no idea. I read about it in the old FAQ before Buffy Boards got a make over. It must have been a long time ago because when I first joined, there weren't any pets or money here.
 
no, the pets were taken away a long time ago. that feature isn't available anymore.
there was also a feature where you could steal karma points, but that was scrapped too.
 
no, i don't, 'cause that feature wasn't here when i joined.
and i don't see it being returned.
 
Back in the good ole days, we did indeed have money. And it worked sort of like + Matt + described there in the first post. What I understand, all those add-ons were slowing down the boards like crazy and that's why they were removed.
 
That dates you doppelganger. Well, so does your "member since" in your "slayer stats" box. lol. If it was screwing with the board then yeah, I think it's best it stay gone.

Yup, that's true. They were fun and stuff, but slowed stuff down and just weren't worth it. As I remember it.
 
Yeah, I can FAINTLY recall bb money (I think).... I remember the pets though! They were a neat idea, but too much fuss for me personally (*sniff sniff* RIP Miss Kitty Fantastico :cry2: ) but quite cute to have next to your name when they were healthy.

I prefer karma myself (it's neato lol), quick, easy, and goodness all around. 🙂

Give the girl a lollipop 😉 That is correct - it (and the pets) brought the board to a staggering halt and people weren't using it that much except to steal from others.

Also with the newest version of vb the store part hasn't been updated so you can only have money. Which serves no purpose lol.

I remember the money. I could never buy anything, and I remember a lot of stealing instances. I only used my money to be for my pet (oh, poor Dani the Dinosaur) who sadly croaked a few days after being born... because I didn't really use my money for my pet because I forgot!

I think it's a neat idea, but you never know.
 
Before i left for awhile we still had all those things...it took me like ten minutes to load a page...not cool...im think its a nice idea but ultimately was abused and just slowed things down...

but one more thing...geez people...whatever happened to playing nice...you can disagree without being like your idea sucks i hate it...i miss being five..when playing nice was a real thing...anyway...tangent...dont mind me
