Okay, I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but Buffy really does have a thing for sharp objects!
Becoming Pt. 1 & 2 were amazing, classic episodes! Although, now that I've re-watched the latter more than a few times, I always wonder why exactly was it necessary for Buffy to stab Angel through with her sword? Every time I see the scene now, I LOL secretly to myself (even when nobody is around hehe). Didn't the portal just need Angel, or his blood? Buffy wasn't bleeding via "The Gift", and Angel was already cut at his palm, and Buffy sliced his arm right before his soul was restored. Couldn't she just have, you know, pushed him in? Acathla's portal was right there!
I know it was all to make the scene more dramatic, but does anybody have any other theories? Maybe Buffy just reacted on instinct (scary!), or it way her was to "release" after the grueling weeks dealing with Angel/Angelus. What do you guys think? I'm thinking: poor Angel! 😛
