Orange is the new black hasnt been a great choice for me. I assume Prison Idol is one of the low points. Its not bad enough to turn off but binging it has dragged me to a bad place in my memory rather than taken me to another world to escape it. It totally glamorizes criminals and institutions, and lost the humor where I am up to now. Less meth heads in jail than there were in locked wards tho! I'll finish it cos I got nothing better to do, some of the actors are good. Walking dead and any violent or graphic types are more disturbing than enjoyable but I guess that just comes from different life experience. I think I know to stick to sci fi and sitcom types from now on.

@AnthonyCordova Star Trek Voyager is way more suited to me, I only finished it a little while ago but I'd buy it to have on hand for next time I need a deep escape. Thats a good one.

Scrubs is a great choice too @spikenbuffy Many of the other I have seen but only have to see once. I might try Riverdale since I think only I saw up to s2 and know how to take it now. Netflix is the easiest way but the pickings seem to get slimmer and slimmer.

For fun bingeable entertainment I'd go with Futurama. I watched from it aired, which was 20 years ago now. God it doesn't feel that long. 😛 There's plenty of episodes and movies because it had a few resurrections over the years. Like Cher.

For feel good comedies I’d also recommend The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Keeping Up Appearances and Don’t Trust the b in Apartment 23. Comedies in general are a nice break in between dramas imo (eg. I’d watch 2-3 episodes of The Fugitive and then a few eps of Fraiser).

Voyager usually gets compared poorly to DS9 and NG but I actually think it's the better Star Trek show. Part of it is that Kathryn Janeway doesn't get her due. She's a wonderful Captain, but many of the fans don't like her.

I've only heard good things about that one so far, but not much about what it is actually about, besides being set in the past. Is it violent?

I've recently binged the last season of Orange is the New Black, Slasher and Pose on Netflix. I like that the episodes are shorter and nicely paced. OITNB I'm just watching out of necessity because it's season 7 and final season so obviously I have to watch it- even if it's a boring shell of what it used to be to me.
Slasher and Pose held my attention like crazy. Slasher Solstice (season 3) had my jaw dropped on several occasions; couldn't believe I didn't see who the killer was sooner. And Pose is one of my favorite shows of all time. Slasher is just a guilty pleasure horror series. Pose is epically intriguing, heartfelt & revolutionary in my opinion.
I started to watch Supernatural because I've always wanted to watch it but just never started it...and now it has FOURTEEN seasons. It's so daunting to start the series from scratch when the episodes are an hour long and there are SO MANY episodes in a season as well, but a lot of Buffyverse fans like Supernatural too so can y'all confirm it's definitely a show worth watching, if not binging?

It's so daunting to start the series from scratch when the episodes are an hour long and there are SO MANY episodes in a season as well, but a lot of Buffyverse fans like Supernatural too so can y'all confirm it's definitely a show worth watching, if not binging?

Oh yeah, it’s a good show. You’ll get mixed opinions about after season 5 though because it changes a lot. I stopped watching after season 11.

Still on ANTM - finally got to the All-Star cycle and I'm loving it! I kinda lost my heat with cycle 16 and didn't finish it, but now I'm excited again. I almost forgot but reality shows (some, not all) are also super binge-able.

I recently watched all three seasons of "Santa Clarita Diet" over one weekend. It's a pretty funny show with a supernatural theme. The actors do a great job and it's nice to see Nathan Fillion again.

I love SPN, but it might get a bit repetitive if you were to binge it, better a week by week. Or an arc at a time.

Oitnb is easy to binge, I would have lost interest if it wasn't all easy access but spn is more my sort of subject matter - sexy boys 😉

It's very gory. The vomit was the least gory thing. There is body parts and buckets of blood in many episodes.

I started to watch Supernatural too recently (currently about halfway through season 1 so far), but I’d say it’s worth watching but in small doses (2-3 episodes at a time). 14 seasons was daunting for me as well until I realized you can watch one season at a time at your own pace. There’s no reason to rush through it imo so I’ll probably just watch S1 this year and wait until next year to watch S2.

The show isn’t as great as Buffy or Angel, but it’s a very good show in fairness. Has a Fugitive/Buffyverse vibe to it. It’s a bit formulaic by today’s standards, but to be fair, most shows were like that until the last decade or so.

No, it's a period drama about men (and later women) working in advertising in the 60s. I am a slave to period drama especially set in the 20th century. I enjoy seeing the old generations react to new inventions and major events at that time, and the way sexism, racism and homophobia played back then - the best thing about that show is that it's not PC, and the way they show you those issues is realistic IMO unless you get offended so easily.

Best thing I've watched in a long time that isn't getting decades old is Amazon Prime's Good Omens.

David Tennant and Michael Sheen pretty much are the show. It's absolutely delightful and very easy to binge at a mere 6 episodes.

Helps if you also really love Queen and understand the copious Doctor Who Easter eggs (look for the floating Gallifrey page and the SIDRAT license plate!). 😎

And speaking of bingeables, the 851 episodes of Doctor Who are perfect if you want something really daunting that you're not going to get through too quickly. And yes, I completely recommend the 1963-1989/1996 show as much as the 2005+ reboot. Even the 97 reconstructed missing episodes with audio and pictures (or animated) aren't that bad when you love the characters and can picture in your head what the actors were likely doing (Pat and Frazer's antics are easy to guess). It's such a rich franchise, even if it's sadly in a bad downturn. And then there's the thousands of Big Finish/BBC audio dramas, comics and books to consume. It's the franchise that you'll never be without new content in. The old Doctors and companions haven't actually gone anywhere and are still getting lots of new stories.

iZombie is great fun. I dont really like zombies but this is more like a buddy cop thing than strictly scary zombies. A lot of fun. I am halfway through season one. This is defo what I would consider a good bingeable. Nice and light, yet with a story.

I still love most versions of the Scooby-Doo franchise so can watch a load in one sitting. Other shows honestly depend on how much I'm enjoying it at that moment. Sometimes I'll watch 8 episodes a day, sometimes I'll give it a few before picking it up again.
