Best or Worst Season?

Season 2 is not my favourite nor is it my least favourite, my favourite season has to be season 6. I mean i love it all and it's probably the season i re watch the most... I get why some people might not like it and that's probably to do with the fact that it's so much darker then all the other seasons....but i think that's partially why i enjoyed it so much...also i loved Dark Willow!!! And Xander being the one to stop her was just perfect IMO.

Least favourite season...i don't know...as a whole i'm going to have to go for season 4...i mean it's got some really amazing episodes in it ...i.e Hush...and then there;s alot of episodes i just don't mind....nothing really special..

If i had to put them in order,
6
3/7
1/5/2
4

To me, Season 2 is my favorite season, although being a Bangel fan explains most of that:

- Buffy & Angel's relationship
- Spike and Dru (Spike was better before being neutered)
- Angel -> Angelus (best character turn ever)
- Innocence, Passion, Becoming 1 and 2 are killer iconic episodes
- School Hard, Halloween, Phases, Bewitched are fun episodes

Even the lower-rated season 2 episodes are fun to watch: Assembly Required, Mummy Girl, Ted, Go Fish...all have their moments.

I think the series (Joss, writers, etc) nailed it with season 3, but season 2 has been my favorite since I watched it the first time.

Season 2 and 3 are the best seasons! 6 and 7 are also amazing but they are Buffy at its finest. It changes so much from Season 4 onwards, but not in a bad way. But I love the seasons in High School.

Season 2 has everything - the plot, script, acting - everything is just perfect. Angelus is by far the best villain the show had. How anyone can say its the worst after watching 4 is beyond me!

I can't decide between 2 and 3. They're both easily the funniest seasons but also the saddest.

Season 2 is my favorite. I enjoyed the story arc the most, it had the most surprises (Angel turning to Angelus, Jenny's death) and my favorite season finale (Becoming Part 2).

it wasnt the best and it wasnt the worst, it was good at best but it did set the show up for pure awesomeness

One of the best seasons, IMO. It has the funniest episode - "BB&B", interesting villains - even though I think Angelus was too much talk and tease and actually more boring than Angel (not counting Jenny whom he had to kill, spo he found time and for once was scary) Spike and Dru made up for that, first major death, plenty of tremendeously diffcult choices for Buffy. Even the episodes with corny monsters of the week have plenty of quotable dialogue and heatwarming moments. Even Cordelia gets plenty of development. I really miss the Giles-Jenny brand of romance, his pickup lines were in a league of their own. 🙂

I've ony seen the first two seasons of "Buffy" but I think that the first season was better then the second one even though it had it's moments.

The second season is one of my favorite season, not sure if it is my favorite. I lean more towards season 6.

This season had:

-Angelus Arc was remarkable;"Innocence" and "Passion"
-Spike;"School Hard"
-Dru
-2 Slayers
-Ripper

and oh, can't forget John Ritter.

I loved the developing of charcters in this series. Cordelia started to become a scooby & Oz and Willow started dating. Angel and Buffy's relatonship! Even Giles and Buffy got closer. Every episode was brilliant and was just so well made. I loved episodes like Halloween, Passion and I only have eyes for you. I think the 2nd and 3rd seasons are my favourites. I really didn't like the 5th season that much, some great epsiodes but Dawn frustarted me a bit!

2 and 3 are my favs to :)
Second season is my favourite. I really like it. It has best episodes and ideas for the episodes. And in this season Buffy was... I don't know, just diffrent than in others season. And this season is in my opinion most heartbreaking... But still second season is the best for me 🙂

And I think for the bigger part of the others too 'cause it had the best audience 🙂

Season Two is the definitive season of BtVS, IMO. That doesn't neccessarily mean the best, I enjoy watching Seasons 3 and 7 a lot more. But the events that transpire in Season Two set the majority of things that happen afterwards really in motion, the biggest of which being Angel leaving Sunnydale and us as a fan-base getting Angel the Series. So yeah, highly influential, Season Two really helps define Buffy and Angel's characters.

So people have different opinions, but almost everyone I've spoken to over the subject has said season two was the best or worst series. No one has said in between. Well, I guess they could just be trying to get me to stop annoying them, but still, I was wondering what everyones opinion was? I don't really have one currently, because I haven't seen season two in over a year, because it's currently the only season I don't own.

How can anyone hate S2? I guess if someone hates Spike, Angelus & Dru, but then I don't know how much you can really like the show if you hate two of the male leads...

I really liked S2, it's one of my favs.

But Buffy S3 is by far Joss's best work imo. I'm not just talking Buffyverse, I'm talking out of anything he's done.

I mean, S3 was just perfect (except for Spike only having one episode). The ensemble was perfect (again, aside from Spike's absence). The Buffy S3 cast was so good that it managed to be split in half and go on to form two great shows. The Mayor was the best Big Bad too, imo.

The thing that surprises me is when people say S5 was the best. It was good, but I think S2 & 3 were far better.

In Angelus and Spike it had the best story arc of all the seasons imo, better than Faith/Mayor and Glory, and nothing tops Innocence/Passion/Becoming. But overall i think s3 and s4(thats right, 4) were more consistant and had just as many top class episodes.

i think season 6, i never get sick of watching it. season 7 was a bit dull. well it was good, just not as good as the others.

from the polls that I've seen going around the net, its a battle between 2 and 3, i'm only up to season 3 (actually finished), but i can say so far that i liked 2 better.

for me, season 2 has to be at least one of the top 2 seasons. I like it so much because it captured the essence of what buffy was for me, instead of dire apocalypses and incredibly sad moments that dragged on for several episodes, there was a much happier feel and it was more about the social lives of the character, and so you got to know them better!
