Is this best in terms of their relationship was best or best as in favorite? Because my favorite Spuffy season is 6, but their relationship was best in 7.
 
I have nothing to add except I agree. Season 7 was the top of the true spuffyness.
 
Their relationship was delightfully perverse in season 5 (great drama), wonderfully complicated in season 6 (great drama), and beautiful but strangely unsatisfying in season 7 (great drama). So it depends what you mean by "best."

I love all of those seasons for Spuffy because it is always fascinating but I chose season 7 too.

I love their relationship there. It was in season 7 when I finally thought that this relationship could really work in the long run.

Plus . . Touched? Cutest cuddling ever!
 
Seven, no contest. I wouldn't be a Spuffy if it weren't for Seven - even though I'd still appreciate S6 Spuffy for it's sheer brutal realism, as compared to some other vampire/human ships *cough cough*, I wouldn't ship them.
 
I really don't know which season I prefer. I love their relationship in seasons 6 & 7 equally, but for differents reasons... I think that, somewhere, there's a real continuity. Their relationship in season 7 wouldn't have been what it was if season 6 didn't happened.
 
I chose 6 - not because it's the best, but because it's the most interesting.

7 is great because they finally come to a place of mutual trust and love, they're true friends, partners and allies - but 6 is so deliciously dark and sexy.

What about 4? There's some great Spuffy moments in 4 - think Something Blue and Pangs?

It's a tie between 6 and 7 really. Season 6 was incredible and I don't think I believed my eyes the whole season, they actually gave us SO much Spuffy. My other favourite ships were never that lucky. What can I say, it was hot! Season 7 was just beautiful and while I wished for more intimate scenes between them (at least a kiss), I was blown away by how much intimacy there actually was, by them merely holding each other..
 
I'm the first to pick season 5 it seems 😱
For entertainment value it would be season 6
For relationship value it would be season 7
But for me, season 5 is my personal favourite.
You could make a case for season 4 also, just for the episode something blue 😀
 
I rewatch S5 for the Spuffiness the most and S6 is my favourite, but overall their relationship was at its best in S7.
 
Artistically - season 6. It's daring, clever, heartbreaking - powerful TV.
Relationship-wise - season 7. In that season their relationship is beautiful.
Most hopeful - season 5. Boy, were we young and naive 🙂))

So I voted 6.

hmm good thread..hard question 🙂 i think s5 is good for the humour of spuffy, s6 for the passion of course and problems and s7 as it shows how much they care for eachother and how they have been through so much together, it shows the love and also some lovely speeches shared between the two. i voted s6 but now imthinking season 7..

Which is why I was a little surprised not to see it on the list.
I loved Spuffy in "Pangs" and "Sonething's Blue" (and I'm a Bangel shipper).
 
I wish I could chose all of them. I love the evolution of their relationship. It has so many layers of emotions. Quite a lovers journey indeed. 😀

P.S I voted for season 7 though.
