Update Big Brother 2009 - Start Date Announced

Just out of curiosity...what for do we need to send in an offering with our application? Is going to be something that could get very embarassing for us? 😛

Hey, I've got a question.. You know, the no normal BB, IRC etc, how will you do that? Because, you know, if you're gonna block IPs, and Cangel gets in, that would mean that QM and I also won't be able to get in the IRC and on the Boards.
 
I believe this is going by adjusting individual account privileges rather than IP blocking. If we did that, I don't think they would be able to even get into the house, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
 
Housemates will be put into their own usergroup for the duration of the game, wherein they will only be able to see the BB BB house.

It's the same thing as each of us only being able to see our own house, the same basic principle applies.

As for the IRC, that'll be up to the Mods to Mod that and kick any contestants they see. And we'd ask any one who notices a contestant in the IRC to report it to a Mod.
 
Couldn't someone just go in the IRC under another name?

I.e. i could go in as "Lyrilover" and nobody would have a clue who I was...

Not that I'm condoning that action, of course, but yeah.
 
The rules of the IRC are that no one, whether they are taking part in Big Brother or not, is allowed to enter the IRC under a username other than their own. If they do, they get a warning to change it back. If they don't, they are kicked.

If a contestant chooses to break the rules and enter the IRC under another username, they will be kicked from the IRC and Big Brother.
 
Apparently I can't rep you again, fail, but thanks for clearing that up 🙂 Not that I would have any intention of sneaking into the IRC. But I MIGHT change my sn to lyrilover. 😀
 
Both Buffy Summers are Faith are off-line dealing with some things right now, so we'll be going ahead as soon as they get back.

Due to my time out for personal reasons things got delayed. We will be starting to finalise things this weekend. If you have previously applied and have changed house please let me know so we can amend your application. We have now heard back from everyone and as people have dropped out we are now looking for some new housemates before we can run.

We thought we would open it up to give people a second chance as well as a first chance for the new members. If you wish to apply please fill in the form at the start of this thread and PM it to me.

Applications close on Wednesday 1st July.

This may be an incredibly stupid question, but does this mean that the housemates won't have VMs or rep either?
Once I have confirmed a few things with some others an announcement will follow later this evening about when you will be notified and when it will start.

A big thank you to those that have already sent in their applications, you still have time.

As I said about applications will close on Wednesday 1st July. Housemates will be notified on Friday 3rd July and we will begin on Monday 6th July.

That will give everyone time sort everything out - remember when you go into the house you will have no access to the other forums and won't have pm's.

The final eviction night will be Monday 20th July.
 
Oh darn it! I will be going on vacation with my parents and sister from the 6th until the 20th or the 21st. It's so me that I'm totally going to miss this 🙁
 
Well I'll be on vacation from the 2nd-7th, but I'll have access to my hubby's laptop so I can still get on. 😀
