Bones: General Discussion

Being with the show from the very beginning of course I want B/B together when it is all said and done not just because I like how B/B were together but because they are so right for each other. I miss Zach too. He was one of the original characters and delivered the technical jargon better than anyone who has done it since not discounting Brennan. I don't like how Booth is acting right now. Feels like he is a stranger almost. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the way the character was before so I didn't see the need to change the character.

I do want Booth and Brennan to end up together, but I think that once they do the show is finished. Just my opinion.

I don't necessarily ship anyone on Bones. I actually quite like
Booth and Hannah
but I view B/B as the inevitable outcome. But I gotta say, I think dragging this will they/won't they when they clearly will has finished the show already. There are a lot of stories to be told with B/B together, especially when she was so adverse to it. It will be a whole new landscape for her and them.

Tell those stories. A hundred and odd episodes of UST is just mehbleh :eviltongu lol

I think they relathionship will be draged trough the whole show like Mulder/Scully. I'll get bored with it if show lasts.

Plus, I really like Angela and Hodgins 😛 And Daisy and Sweet are pretty cute 🙂

True. I just fear the crime element of the show will be completely lost.

Bones is first and foremost a crime drama where forensics is used, and the accuracy is there. If they focus too much on character development and the like then the crime are going to suffer and won't be as interesting. The character Booth has already strayed away from his passion for the victim that we saw in the first season. I always liked that about Booth. That passion is all but gone now and I would like to see him get it back.

Okay, so I have tried to stay away from whinging about the most recent season of Bones, but I have to say that it is getting decidedly boring. I like Hannah and Booth together just fine, I've had no problem at all with them. I don't really mind the entire love triangle story either. I love that Hodgins and Angela are allowed to be happy together, I find them totally adorable as a happy couple and I'm enjoying the lack of drama.

The big problem is that they don't seem to want to put as much energy into the actual crime aspect of it anymore. The crime aspect is what really caught me. It had a different pace and different way of telling a story to other crime shows. It was exciting and different and didn't have to much focus on the love stories. It just bores me a little now I suppose.

I agree with that. The mysteries haven't only become boring, a lot of the time I find they have become ridiculous as well. I cringed so bad when
the girl said she wanted to "friend" the victim again on FB.
I mean, I know it's always been a fluff show, but it still is a crime drama where people do horrible things to each other and die, and that aspect deserves a little more respect, methinks.

I'm not exactly averse to the character of Hannah, I just can't stand how the actress delivers her lines. I swear, I'm starting to develop a tick and whenever she over-enunciates a line, my eye twitches.

I would ideally like to see Booth and Brennan together, but for the love all things holy, just get to it already. As has been stated many, many times before, the 'will they, won't they?' of it all is driving everybody crazy. And Booth has changed this season. I hope he regains a sense of who he was in earlier seasons soon, I miss him.

I too want Bones and Booth to get together but when it is the right time for the characters, so it will be special, not because I want them to and not before the final season. I too miss the way Booth was in the previous seasons when he was a force to reckon with especially when someone was trying to hurt Bones. I miss Bones kicking **tt
and taking the bad guys down the way she used to. It was a formula that worked and when something works you don't change it. 🙂

Where are all the Bones fans when I want to discuss last nights episode?

I'm here lol!

Wow that intial scene was incredibly graphic- sometimes they really push the limit with the grossness factor. I loved that last scene with Booth looking at Brennan. And I did like Sweet's reaction to both the killing and to what she said to him, I wish they would've talked about it even more.

This is my first season watching (I catch older episodes here & there, I haven't done a full season by season watch yet, but I will), and already I'm bored with the "will they or won't they?". C'mon, isn't this season 6 or something? Either put them together or move on...permanently! All it does is serve to irritate fans. I hope that Castle doesn't follow suit.

And am I the only one who is so warped by Whedon that I keep waiting for something bad to happen to Hodgins/Angela or their baby? I'm sick, I know.

I'm here but I haven't watched it yet. Sorry. Hopefully someone shows up soon but you can share your thoughts in the meantime.

What a surprise. I'm late. 😛

I've watched it and I liked it. I'll watch it again in a bit because I couldn't pay enough attention this morning before I left for work and I promise I'll have a more thought-out response then, lol.

I enjoyed this episode very much since it had the flavor of seasons 1-5 and was an indication that the series seems to be getting back on track. Gave me hope that B&B might be doing the same as well. I know that HH and writers like to keep the forensics and such real; the first scene was almost a little too real for me though. I say almost. What I have always liked about Bones is that they are procedurally correct when it comes to how the FBI operates and the procedures for the snipers who work for them and the government as well. I do enjoyed very much the part where Booth was looking at Brennan. I think this might be something he might start doing more of in the future. I hope anyway.

Regarding the "will they or won't they? I can see why some would find it buggy I do a lot of waiting in my life anyway so it doesn't get to me too much though. I am happy to wait and see how it all plays out.

I feel that whether B&B get together or not they will always have a special place in their hearts for the other of course that is a poor substitute for them being with each other. Not that I want them to forget about each other completely either. 🙂 lol

Just finished the ep. It was the best ep since Bones solved her own murder. There's a reason these eps are so much better than the tripe we have been getting: they are dealing with who Booth and Bones are as people. No science, no bullshit.

If this was the focus more often it would be a far better show.

I'm not one to throw up because something on the TV is nasty, but I threw up in that initial scene. I was eating... not a smart decision. I did love the last scene... and hopefully with this last scene and Brennan's confession of love a few episodes ago we're getting close to them inevitably ending up together. Overall, I actually sort of enjoyed this episode. I liked how
Booth knew the killer... and I really hope we explore further their relationship as the hunt for this guy continues.

You would have had some company in the p***ing department. I can't be around that.

Yes, I agree, I hope he's a recurring character.

And in listening to you guys, I really do need to watch the entire series. Just watching this season plus past eps here & there, I'm not getting the full extent of the B/B relationship...I'm not feelin' the chemistry. So, as soon as I get caught up on Fringe, that's my plan. 🙂

Cardinal rule of watching Bones is to never ever eat an hour before, during, or an hour after each viewing. :sick4:

This season is not a best take on B&B. You really should start from the very beginning like the pilot. It goes along way to explaining the 100 episode. Not to mention the references from different episodes might not understand.

True; however Bones is a forensic anthropologist someone with that degree only gets called in on specific cases. Where a coroner can't be much help.
