By my information this is supposed to air Tuesday Sept 13, but I think I just heard someone say they expect to see it tonight, so I thought I'd post this thread now, just in case.

Going by memory Dr. Temperance Brennan will be investigating a set of bones found hidden in a lake. The David Borenaz character will also be introduced, so worth watching.

I know this is the wrong thread for this, so please forgive me.........but......

OOOOOO! Ooooooooo! I can't WAIT!!!!!

The stars flesh out 'Bones'

By Robert Bianco, USA TODAY

Give me Bones over blood any day.

David Boreanaz plays a FBI agent suspicious of scientists; Emily Deschanel is a forensic anthropologist with uncanny insight.
Fox

Let other crime shows compete for your attention by growing ever more sick, gory and graphic. Bones is built on a more traditional and solid foundation: the strength of its characters.

That's not to say Bones doesn't have the now-requisite effects-heavy show-and-tell tricks "” in this case, holographic re-creations of the crime "” or that those re-creations may not be more detailed than some would like.

But sadistic mayhem is not the draw here. What sets Tuesday's Bones premiere apart from the procedural pack are stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, as the season's most appealing new crime fighters....

...Tonight's opening case effectively highlights the characters and spells out their dynamic, while working on its own as a well-constructed mystery. The dialogue is almost always clever, but the show itself isn't glib "” it wants us to invest in the victims as well as the criminologists.

Don't look to tonight's premiere for any great advances in TV art, because you won't find any. Bones isn't the riskiest or most ambitious series coming your way this season. But it may turn out to be one of the most satisfying and entertaining.

Five minutes in, I already like this show. Engaging, great, fast-paced dialogue, good dynamic between the two mains. This being FOX, it'll be canceld before the end of this season.

Yeah, Fox has a stellar reputation in keeping good TV on the air! NOT.
I loved the premire... Hopefully this will last longer than tru Calling did.... It seems like the main Characters have good chemistry which is important of course... so *crosses fingers* hopefully this one will last..... looks like i got a new show to watch every week 😀

I thought it was pretty good. Nothing mind-blowing but good none the less. I just hate that I have to choose between Gilmore-Girls and Bones. I kept on flipping back and forth through the entire thing.
But once again David is playing a charecter on the road to redemption..but it doesnt bother me

It was really good I have high hopes for the show Emily and David work really great together and have pretty good on screen chemistry.

Also (hehe) David is such a hottie 🙂 Love having a new show to watch him in and not only new but actually good which is such plus. Hoorah. Keep your fingers crossed we may have a keeper 🙂

I was quite pleased with Bones. Nothing groundbreaking, but enjoyable enough. I was very glad that they didn't try to go with overly dramatic/dark lighting like the Inside did.

I was a little surprised at how "MTV" it was. Pop music sound track, super short scenes and quick cuts. But it's fun. Like CSI for 14 to 30 year olds.

Didn't realize that "Bones" is Temperance herself. Liked that she assaulted three different guys in the first 30 minutes, heh. I thought David was gonna be the tough guy. Dug David's "Scully and Mulder" quip...

I usually require procedurals to have really strong characters. While Bones didn't have that, they were likeable enough. Since I don't have anything to watch Tuesdays at 8, I'm gonna watch and see how the show evolves.

I really liked both David's and Emily's characters. The standout was the lab tech/assistant, Angela. I thought she rocked! I liked that it was fast-paced, but I thought the second half was a little "choppy," or maybe I just wasn't following along real well. Looking forward to seeing how they develop the characters and how Dr. Brennan's and Booth's relationship evolves. They did have a lot of chemistry between them.

I really liked it. I too thought the characters had great chemistry. I loved the "I don't understand that" lines, made me laugh everytime. Can't wait until the next episode.

Oooo, I thought it was really funny at the end, when they're standing at the cemetary, and Dr. Brennan's boss says something like, "it's her first shooting, you can't expect her to be perfect, right out of the gate" and then her assistant says, "How many people did you warn before you sniped them?" LOLLL! Booth AND Dr. Brennan's boss both turn to look at the guy. It was too funny.

I thought that "Squint" thing was kinda cute.... I like davids ego trips in the show... hehehe "Its not the squints who solve murders its the... blah blah blah." but it was kinda cute......

I saw the show and thought it was very good.I'm curious to see how it turns out.David was really good in his role but I still haven't warmed up to Dr.Breneman(I know I spelled it wrong)I did really like that girl that flashed the guy at the airport. She is funny.

You know, I'm kind of amazed they packed in as much as they did, in terms of character introductions and their first little murder mystery. Obviously, they'll need to flesh out all the characters more in the coming eps.

Not to be a downer, but...I've never gotten into the procedurals. I think I've just been spoiled by modern dramas, with the epic arcs and slow development, like "Lost" and "Alias" and "24". When everything's wrapped up in a bow after 44 minutes or whatever, it's just sorta...meh. I wonder if some kind of arc will develop, beyond just the emotional growth of the characters. Hope it stays funny with the snappy dialogue and the insults!
