As one with an avid imagination, I like books the best. George Lucas and the Skywalker ranch don't have crap on the puppet show inside my noggin. With the exception of Joss screenplay, Toy Story, (and some others I must have forgotten) I like the written word I've made my head puppets slavishly perform for me over most of the stuff I've watched on the big to small screen.
(Pixar got one on the puppets that day, but in Joss defense, it was a screen play and not a book; and a screenplay is like a book, but for TV....thus TV Buffy is supreme to head puppets also.)
I've read alot of good books, King of kings for me was the Wheel of Time, I hope it is finished in a way R.J. would appreciate. They could never make a wheel of time movie good enough for me, Perrin would'nt be hairy enough or Rand would look to dopey. Inside your head these puppets are doing thing and making non verbal gestures and having reactions that the actors outside your head might not get.
Don't misunderstand me, not all book are superior to movies, but on an even playing field of both excellent film and excellent novel co-existing....my money is on the puppets.
