Perhaps he's going to jail, and not country club jail but old school USSR jail with no net access.
Maybe's he's broke after being so charitable and can't afford his taxed net services?
As said, Bored is the giving type....maybe he's going on a missionary retreat or something... going off the grid so to speak.
What I don't get is why he said boredom was at the forefront for his desire to leave, yet wishes he could stay.
What does that mean?
I'm guessing that means that either he wishes this place was more entertaining for his netscapedes (doubt it, this place is awesome, and if that is indeed the case don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out)
....or he wishes his real life to be so busy and exciting he has no free time with all of his adventures to log on. This seems to me more likely with the way he got all preachy upon his return about living life. (My first exposure to BotD)
Truth is all things in moderation. Its nice to have adventure, but its nice to come home as well, both your actual home and usual haunts. I think/hope he might be back once he does leave.
He must have many things to pack, as he's not gone yet. 😉

Interpretations are fun, i once had a buddy from Sweden on a morrowind site and we had a long conversation about toothpaste and what they call it where you are from and why it is not a product for gluing teeth. 🙂

In every board and forum I have ever been to, there is ALWAYS a topic where someone says their leaving and they mostly NEVER leave. I think it's just a way to get attention.
However, there are few that actually do leave, and I mean right after making the topic.
