I'm just gonna go ahead and say it - I love Angel s4.
I despise Connor/Cordy as much as anyone else and they could have handeled CC's pregnancy way better but I still love it.
The arc is amazing and operatic in it's form, taking you through so much that you feel completely exhausted at the end of it all, but in a good way.
And "Home" is one of my favorite Angel episodes ever.

Also, I love Connor 😉

Omg, you're avi looks like Eliza, is it her?
- I hate Xander. He is a hypocrite and interferes in matters that don't concern him.
- I hate Joyce.
- I find "Rest in peace" by Spike / James Marsters horrible.
- I find The First ridiculous.
- I hate Cangel very very much.
- I hate the 4th Season of BtVS.
- I like Kennedy.
- I can't stand Robin.
- I wish that Faith would have played a larger role in the later seasons.
- Spike and Angel have a much better chemistry than any one of them with Buffy.
- I would have liked to see Faith and Gunn becoming a couple. I think they would be pretty hot together.
- I like Willow and Anya more than Buffy, and Spike slightly more than Angel.
- Despite Angel's/Twilight's actions in Season 8 (which I refuse to take seriously) I'm still a Bangel. Forever & Always.
- I used to hate Riley, but now I find him all right.
- I love Darla and Drusilla. I can't really explain why. I think, I find both characters simply outstanding.
- I was really touched on the Buffy and Spike scene in "Touched".
- I like Dawn.
- I love Lindsey.
- Though I dislike Spuffy, I do not hate it.

more Joyce hate karma. seems we're not that tiny a minority.
I agree that I think Willow is pansexual or someone with a fluid sexuality. But I always felt that the fact that she primarily identified as a lesbian was perfectly normal as well. I know a few people in my life who are also pansexual, but they don't always call themselves that. It all comes down to how she identifies herself- it doesn't erase her possible attraction to men, it just makes it clear which gender she wants to start relationships with for the time being.

Oh yes, totally. I didn't mean to take away from her identifying as a lesbian (I know you didn't say that, but I just wanted to clarify in general). I definitely saw both sides of the coin as I mentioned in the "Willow being gay" thread, but just for me and maybe how I want to connect with the character I see her that way.

And I think Xander would've been a better choice for the realization. He could've been bisexual and it REALLY would've turned heads.

Also, I really don't get Spuffy. I didn't feel love there but an actual deep seeded need to destroy themselves, or at least Buffy. I do feel like Spike loved Buffy but not in a deep meaningful way. It was almost like a first grade relationship to me.

I also never understood Riley's "You don't open up to meeee" thing. I didn't feel as though Buffy was holding anything back and I wanted to know what it was he wanted from her. If it was simply just a "I need you to need me" thing, I think it'd be better if she wanted him instead of needed him. One shows some independence and the other shows spinelessness I think.

I get ya. Except the Spuffy part, lol. *points to membership in BB Spuffy fan club* :p
I think a bunch of episodes in Angel season 5 are like mediocre fan-fic.

Scared Wesley/Noble Wesley/Dark Wesley/Manic Depressive Wesley....I've hated them all and was glad to see him bite it.

I was intensely bored with Lindsey until he had the crush on Darla and in season 5 I was just done with him.

Lilah was my favorite character in Angel.

I think Buffy and Angel were beyond self-ish to start dating again in season 3. I don't really buy the unconrtollable passion crap.

I don't understand why Xander only started giving insightful speeches after he started to put on some weight.

The only time I enjoyed Spike was when he was with Drusilla.

I completely agreee with #5

TOTALLY agree with the B/A thing. I make this point ALL the time.
The only death that had any real emotion to me was Freds and that was more because of Wes than anything else. Buffys deaths were bleh. I didnt like Tara and though Willow had life again after she died. Ive only seen the puppet episode once and Im pretty sure I would die happy if I never see it again. Buffy was much better and far more interesting when she had no love interest.

^^ I agree with your points on Smile Time and Buffy being better single!
*tried to give you Karma, but no go!*

- I like Riley.

- I don't care about Willow, Spike or Dawn in S7, their characters bacame flat to me.

- I haven't seen beauty of The Body until couple of years ago.

I never liked Harmony unless she was on ANGEL.

I wouldn't trade the wonderful episode that is You're Welcome to have Cordelia back in the entire fifth season.

I liked Lindsey and Darla's... whatever it was in S2.

Smile Time isn't that funny. Not the best episode of ANGEL by any means.

I Will Remember You is overrated by Bangel fans, but underrated by the people who hate it 😉 What I mean is: it's not the BEST ANGEL episode, IMO, nor is it the best B/A episode. BUT, it's also not boring / stupid / or anything else. It's a good ep, just not the best.

BtVS has far more emotional moments than ANGEL, but ANGEL's emotional moments are far more emotional than BtVS'. (Hope that made sense! 😛)

Agreed on IWRY
Thought of another one:

-You're Welcome is overrated. Yes, it's good to see Cordelia back and her scenes with Angel (particularly her final scene) are wonderful - but apart from that, it's a very mediocre episode, IMO.

i agree although even Cordelia's scene with Angel isn't really memorable

Overrated episodes you say? Here goes:

- OMWF. Good singing but terrible plot. Also foreshadows much of the badness that's to follow in S6. And the Tara/Willow sex...I mean singing is ruined by the rape implications.

- The Gift. Summers. Blood. Makes. No. Sense. Period.

- Pangs. Yes, it has its fun moments but everyone so OOC that I get the feeling I am watching a sitcom.

- Graduation Day II. So that was the Mayor's big plan - to turn into a snake? Really?

- Helpless. Buffy doesn't rely on her superpowers only. Big shock. We already saw that a million times in previous episodes.

- Enemies. Totally unravels when you watch it again and know the final plot twist.

- Fool For Love. The premise is idiotic and seems like an excuse to glorify Spike. Pass.

Karma for The Gift bit. I've always thought that. Discussing it right now, actually.
-I hate Xander with a firey passion.
-Once More With Feeling...not that great!
-Angel S5 was boring
-It would have been nice to see Faith beat Buffy in a fight!
-Beer bad is one of my fav episodes
-I liked Xander and Cordelia together
-I like Angel and Darla together

-I think Buffy the show lost every ounce of heart it had after The Gift. As far as I am concerned my slayer and my story ends there.

-I think Joyce is, arguably, the worst parent in history of the world. Ever.

-I still love Angel with a fire that burns. Even after S8.

-I think the death in issue 39 was remarkably unmoving.

-I was happy to see Willow taken down a few notches in that above mentioned issue.

-I frickin LOVE Riley.

ok, this agreeing with you has got to stop. at least it's just the Joyce bit, I'm relieved to say the rest is still nonsense to me. ;)

I mostly agree with #1 and #3.
What about Hank? Or Tara's dad? Or Xander's dad? Or anyone's dad? 😀

Contenders all! But I just can't past washing. blood.out.of.Buffy's.clothing. Seriously. Kicking her out is also one of the most fantastically awful things done on the show.

And I'm just realising Buffy was kicking out of her own home twice. 🙁

I hate thread without all the guilt afterwards? How very refreshing. OM likes. :: tu ::

Here goes my bile. You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!!!! 😛:

-I cannot stand Gunn.
His attitude and personality towards people, and especially against Wesley, make me want to place him in a plastic bag in a dumpster somewhere.
Also, his character in the show was entirely unnecessary. The Fang Gang needed the muscle?? Are you frelling kidding me?? ANGEL was the friggin' muscle! There didn't need to be anyone else. Least of all someone like Gunn.

-I hate Cordelia. There are no real words to describe the depth of my ire towards her, but basically I've never liked people like her.
To be unnecessarily mean and terrible towards others (people who don't deserve said treatment) for no reason at all but to be mean and terrible, and think you can just go around and do it to everyone.
In real life, especially where I grew up, in the schools that I attended, someone like her would have had the taste violently knocked out of her mouth.
Also, I can't believe that viewers of the show actually applaud Cordelia (and generally, people who are like her) for being this way. I feel there has to be something wrong with you if you think it's okay for someone to be the way she is.
And don't get me started on her looks. Most everyone thinks she's hot. Personally, she was never much to look at.

-I hate Cangel.
Seriously? Really? Who in their right mind falls for someone like her? Was Angel really that desperate?

-I hated OMWF. Generally, as some people in Raiden already know, I don't really like musicals of any kind, and here's why......they usually make the actors in those types of show sing using their real voice....and many a time THEY CAN'T SING! You have these people traipsing through a show wailing like a cat walking on hot coals, and call it music.

No. Sorry. No.

And that's the same reason I can't watch OMWF. If you're going to have singing...USE PEOPLE WHO CAN ACTUALLY SING!!!! I want to be entertained, not deafened. The only real singer on that episode was ASH. The worst singer, JM. It boggles my mind that he was actually in a band.
Good actor though. Bad singer. Baaaaad.

-I hate how everyone on the show treated Wesley when he first appeared on BtVS. It was uncalled for. He hadn't done anything to merit it. They didn't even know the guy.

It's not fair that he should have had to bear the brunt of the consequences of his predecessor's evil actions. And it wasn't his fault that the Council demoted Giles. He may have been a member of the Council, but he didn't make that rash decision. His Bosses did. To castigate the soldier for what his superiors have done and will do is wrong, and always has been.
And seriously, to hate on someone for the way they talk and how they dress? That's about as ignorant as you can get. Seriously. You want to hate someone, do it for a real reason. Do it because they have actually DONE things that merit the dissaproval/hatred of others.

-I cannot stand Dawn.
Yeah, yeah, I know all the arguments about why she is the way she is. But that doesn't always wash.
I have three nieces and two nephews, with two of them still in their teens. None of them have ever acted the way Dawn acts, even during times when things didn't go their way, and I'm not just blowin' smoke here.
And I'm quite sure that there are TONS of teens Dawn's age out in the world that handle their respective situations with a lot more maturity, and class, than the character of Dawn did.
And what really gets my goat about Dawn is how in every situation where Buffy is experiencing difficulties and/or emotional pain, Dawn will flip it around each time and make it all about HER. That's just pocas verguenzas, right there.

-I hated Joyce. I'm not even going to bother explaining this one. I'd get banned.

-And finally, I hate Buffy for always punching Giles.
The one that really bothers me is when she lays out a very grief-stricken Giles after Jenny gets killed. I don't care what the situation was (it may have been fool hardy to go and try and kill Angelus, but you can't altogether fault the reasons why), you don't kick a person when they're down like that.

Okay, I'm spent. That felt really good. Thank you for opening this thread. 😛😛 :: tu ::

Omg. I respect your opinion OM, but I disagree with almost everything. Aside from what you said about Wes. I agree on that.

I agree, Cangel suck!!
I was just reminded of a couple more

-the death in issue 39... I was pretty unmoved and now am kind of excited. A character I didn't like died at the hand of Angel. Woohoo!

- Smile Time is funny, and I love it... I do... but it's NOT NEARLY as funny as everyone says. The funniest episode in season 5 is TGIQ. And that's not one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

-I hate Fuffy more than Bangel.

-I'm on Buffy's side in Empty Places. I don't see where everyone else is coming from AT ALL.

-Tillow is the "pure love" ship... not Bangel.

Buffy's side for the win
As much as I liked the Willow and Tara relationship, I really enjoyed her death and the resulting aftermath. Dark Willow spanked them all.

Out of all of Cordy's relationships, I liked her and Doyle the best and they never even dated.

I think Dawn and Conner should have dated, and then both of them could be on the CW where whiney teens are not only welcomed, but adored.

I think they should have killed Anya off earlier to give it more time to resonate. A 'that's my girl' wasn't nearly enough.

Principal Wood bored me to tears.

Spike should have been killed the moment they found out he was siring new vamps in season 7.

Beer Bad made me want Buffy to become an alcoholic.

lmao @ the last one
- connor is my Favourite character in angel.
- I thought Kennedy was nice and I dont mind her being with Willow.
- Buffy and Angel my arse, they are not even close to Cangel.
- What was up with Wes and Lilah being together? He was lame, She was cool.
- Harmony is amazing and everyone suck for treating her like crap and putting her down. That was one of the few times I was so mad at Buffy when She laughed at Harmony.

Harm's Way is growing to be one of my faves on AtS. And Cangel karma :D
Oh, and I really enjoyed the Dark Willow arc. I love Tara and I'm sad she died, but I really enjoyed the Dark Willow arc a lot. I don't think you have to not like Tara to enjoy Dark Willow and I don't think you have to not enjoy Dark Willow to like Tara.

SlayerOfVampyrs
Pretty much this.
I thought of another one.

- I always thought Buffy/Faith could have made really good friends...if they would have just talked to each other and let each other in. (and I don't in any way mean Buffy/Faith as a couple)
