BtVS Soundtracks: Favourite Songs?

So who else adores the BtVS soundtracks? I love them and they've got me into artists/bands that I wouldn't have been lucky enough to know of before.

From the first soundtrack my favourite song is 'Keep Myself Awake' by Black Lab. It's one of my favourite songs, I love it, oh and 'Wild Horses'.

Four Star Mary are one of my favourite bands but the other songs kick 'Pain' into touch if you ask me!

From the second, Radio Sunnydale my favourites are 'Ballad for Dead Friends', 'Blue' and 'I Can't Take My Eyes Off You'.

What are your favourites?
 
Ballad for Dead Friends by Dashboard Prophet is probably my favourite. Although I adore Lucky by Biff Naked, Pain by Four Star Mary, Charge by Splendid and It Doesn't Matter by Alison Krauss and Union Station.
 
Ooh, I forgot about Lucky. I love that one too although it pains me not to be able to sing along properly cos I just can't make my voice do that! lol

I think it would have been easier for me to say the ones I don't like so much cos 'It Doesn't Matter' and 'Nothing But You' are awesome too, lol.

I'm not crazy about Already Met You, Teenage FBI and Transylvannian Concubine. I've listened to the albums so much though that I know the words backwards to all of this songs! lol

Oh you know what I love too, Virgin's State of Mind by K's Choice. Crazy little song that.

Oh! and Sugar Water by Cibbo Matto. Love love love it!

Ah, there's something about Already Met You and Teenage FBI that I really like, but I don't know why!

Yeah, Virgin State of Mind is a funky song, I think I've got a K's Choice album around somewhere.

And yup, I've played them to death too! The first album lives in my car and I love driving off to Nerf Herder blaring out 😀 makes me feel like I'm going off on some epic journey!

I don't have any of the soundtracks except OMWF, so I just downloaded the songs I liked best. Out of the ones I do have, I think my favourite is Out of this World (Bush). Also love the scene this song goes with (Spike/Door, lol).
 
Virgins state of mind and sugar water are gdgd! 🙂

The first soundtrack rocked my socks, seriously... My favorites from it are:
"Temptation Waits"- Garbage... I love Garbage, and this song by them is awesome and is perfect for a show like Buffy.
"Strong"- Velvet Chain... One of the songs that has always stuck with me from the show. It's so sexy!
"Lucky"- Bif Naked... Again, another sexy one. Her voice is so beautiful on this song, and it's from a classic moment in the show.
"Keep Myself Awake"- Black Lab... I always liked this one. It always made me want to roll the windows down and blast this one while driving, for some reason. LOL
"Wild Horses"- The Sundays... Do you even have to ask? Seriously... Beautiful song and from one of my favorite moments ever in the show and the Bangel relationship.

From Radio Sunnydale, my faves are:
"Buffy Theme"- The Breeders... I loved their version SO much more than Nerf Herder's!!
"Bohemian Like You"- Dandy Warhols... This song is just fun. 🙂 It makes me want to dance...
"Ballad for Dead Friends"- Dashboard Prophets... This song is from one of the most kick-ass moments of the show. 🙂
"Blue"- Angie Hart... So beautiful and haunting. Plus it's from one of my fave eps in the 'Verse.
"I Can't Take My Eyes Off You"- Melanie Doane... This song is soooo beautiful and brings to mind sweet memories of Tillow. 🙂
"Sugar Water"- Cibo Matto... Another one that always makes me remember a kick-ass moment of the show. Plus it's so hot. 🙂
"The Final Fight"- Rob Duncan... This one brought tears to my eyes way before I ever even saw "Chosen". It's so epic, and it really captures the essence of the show for me.

There were a couple songs on the show that never made it onto the soundtracks, and it made me sad. I really wish "Dilate" had been on instead of "Pain" by Four Star Mary, and I always loved "Job's Eyes" by Far, from "The Pack".
 
A favorite of mine comes from Season Two's episode "Surprise".

The name of the song is "Anything", sung by Care Howe. The song plays in Buffy's dream sequence at the beginning of the episode, when she walks into the Bronze. Very difficult song to find....you can't even get it as an MP3, and I have practically worn out that part of my BTVS DVD just to listen to that song.

Also quite fond of THC's "Overfire", from Season Four's "Beer Bad".
 
I bought an album once that like has all the songs of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on it and that got me into the songs of the show rather than hearing them on the show itself. Buffy songs now take over quite a fair bit of space on my ipod!

I'd have to say though most of my favourite songs featured in season 3 and I love anything by Four Star Mary or Splendid. There's so many songs I like though throughout the show it would take me too long to pick a fave, heehee.
 
I like "I Quit" too. It's so Buffy. 😛

I love the song at the end of Grave too. Whatever it's called. And "Sacrifice" from The Gift. *sobs*
 
oh there are so many great songs on the soundtracks "Wild horses", "Nothing but you", "Temptation Waits", "I can't take my eyes off you", "The final fight" (which aways brings little happy tears to my eyes) too many to count almost 😀

non-soundtrack songs I love are of course "Chinese Burn" and "Full of grace" but also
