Sounds pretty good to me but not too sure if I would buy it just yet, wanna hear more about and what others think of it.
 
I have the Buffy version of this book and let me tell you, it was worth the $19 or so I paid for it 😀 It was written for the educated Buffy reader, but not as over the top as BTVS and Philosophy (which is also a good read).
 
I know there are a lot of books that has something to do with Buffy. Comics, fiction, books analysing things.. I haven't read any of them. Well, the only thing I have is the comic book about Willow&Tara by Amber Benson and Christopher Golden.. And I've read some things on the internet.. Nothing else.
But what about all the books? Have you read any? Are they good? Which are? Discuss or tell me anything about any of the books related to Buffy.
 
I've always thought of writing a Buffy book.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Unheard Whisper", wrriten by Comma.

This book would follow Buffy Summers post-Prophecy Girl, pre-WSWB. In WSWB Buffy stated that she didn't do any slaying over the summer, but oh boy, did she lie...

Ok, I've just read that thread now.. I was wondering about "Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Philosphy", how is it written..? It sounds interesting..
And everyone seemed to like "The Lost Slayer", so I'll try and see if I can find that one on the internet..

Are all Buffy-related book really Buffy-related..? I mean, are some of them just wrong and written buy someone who doesn't understand Buffy..? There's got to be so many books.. I want to buy some of them but it's hard to know which ones..

What about the "Watchers Guide" books..? I've seen them everywhere but what are they about..?
 
Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Philosophy is written for the educated person...it helps to have a bit of background knowledge of Philosophy before reading that book, but you should have no problem.

Alot of the Buffy books are written by people with ties to the Buffyverse..not just random people publishing their fan fics. Most have a good grasp on the Buffy timeline and mythology. The one thing that differs in the books is taken from what I believe was an idea Joss had for the show but nixed and that idea is a guide in the form of a former slayer named Lucy Hanover who appears in several of the Buffy books.

The Lost Slayer Rocks...if they were ever to make a Buffy movie I would LOVE to see that as the script.

Anyway I finished The Lost Slayer, it was the last post of the previous thread. I enjoyed it, liked

and I think it was quite cool to see this alternative dimension.

Been getting a load of Buffy books lately and not reading them. Xander Files 1, Nemesis (Angel book), Plaeto (something like that, came with Buffy mag) and the Wicked Willow trilogy.

Reading Wicked Willow 1 atm.
 
Yeah I have Monster Island..but I've been so busy with reading school related materials I haven't really gotten to it yet.

It was so sad
when Xander died in the Lost Slayer...Almost made me cry!
 
Had a confusion in The Lost Slayer, did Xander have long hair or really short hair? I get so easily confused.
 
Ooh Can't remember those lil details...I kinda pictured him all hardened and military like so I think crew cut would be fitting.
 
I actually think Xander's hair was long I think...

Just read Wicked Willow 1-It was good. It will be a while before I get around to Part 2. I've got alot of other non-Buffy books to review for my site before I get to do another Buffy related one. I think my boss is getting tired of me handing in buffy stuff! LOL

I just read that too. I think you'll probably like the second book.
LOL-It WAS co-owned by my brother and his girlfriend, but they've since broken up and now it's just hers. So, I don't have the understanding big brother on my side anymore 😀

I know some philosophy, have read some and what I don't understand I can look up I guess.. Cause I think this book sounds interesting and I really want to read it..
