Buffy and Angel Book Thread Part 2

Okay...ive LOOKED everywhere...and I STILL cant find it. Can anyone tell me what they think of "Love and Death" By Jeff Mariotte? No spoilers, tho...im currently searching for it...

I haven't even heard of that one.

In terms of The Lost Slayer, did you try amazon.com? They normally have everything. The thing is, you might not be able to purchase all four of the books. They have been rebound into one edition, and that may be you can't find what you're looking for. Just double check if it's one of the four or the omnibus edition.

Oh, and I have two favorite Buffy novels. I like Queen of the Slayers and The Lost Slayer. I love the last one because there is so much going on, and involves all characters. Also, it was my first Buffy novel.
 
Has anyone got The Gift (Ultimate Buffy the Vampire Slayer)?

This looks like it is a really good book and I just wanted to know if anyone has it yet 😀

i've never even heard of this, it sounds interesting though
 
New Books:
In early 2006, two new books are coming out, each set in Season 2. Carnival of Souls, and After Image. I havent found any summaries tho.
 
Have any of you read Nancy Holder's Queen of Slayers yet?
It's set after BtVS's finale, during Angel's finale.

It's quite good. It has a little story to the Buffy/Immortal relationship.
 
Yeah I read it....I like the impression we get of the Immortal in the book better than what Angel & Spike see in TGIQ...
 
it was an okay book...some parts i thought weren't needing and could have been edited out...but it was a good read overall.
 
Queen of the Slayers is one of my favorite Buffy novels. Even though it's about to be totally contradicted by Buffy season 8 comics... but I still love that book.
 
Yeah, I like the image Holder casts for the Immortal.
Dirty whore he is... Allowing the Trio to take on the Slayers.

I got thrown off a bit by Antonio's vampire relatives...
That might have been the only downside of that book.

Oh, I forgot about them. Yeah, that was kinda weird.

But I did like the portrayal of the Immortal. Scumbag! 🙂
 
I just bought it today, and I can't stop reading it. People said it sucked, but it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. The only part that's bored me so far is the part about the backstory of Janus - like I give a damn.

But Angel and Spike, dead after the alley? No f-cking way. I believe wholeheartedly that all four of them survived that battle. Every ounce of me tells me that's the truth, so I just can't buy them getting killed.

Love how dark it is - it just seems that no matter what Buffy does, this the battle she has to fight, forever. Evil follows her. Things just keep happening to remind her of that.

I can't wait to finish it. I read ahead a few pages, and...damn. It looks so good, and if the ending is as good as the beginning, this will be my favorite book. EVER.
 
i didn't like the beginning, hun...it bored me a little. but i really liked the rest of it!
trust me, if you are anything like me, you'll really dig the end!!
 
I think all Spuffy fans will really 'dig' the end! And the whole Immortal/Buffy story, because it gives us hope!

i don't think it mentioned that they actually die...i think it was left open for us to make our own conclusions...feel free to correct me if i'm wrong!

I'm rereading it know, so I'll fill you in on what I think about it in a couple days. I couldn't exactly remember those details, probably because I was focusing on other issues at the end!
