Ok, so we've got the go ahead to organize this Book Club...Try to get me your responses ASAP so we can have a chance to get the book from our libraries and/or bookstores...I have no qualms about re-reading any Buffy book..its been a lil while since I read most of the ones I have (except Apocalypse Memories) so its like their new to me in a way.

Ooops sorry missed this one. The only book I have that I haven't read yet is Monster Island. But I am open to suggestions! 🙂

I wouldn't be able to participate in the book club, dont read much and when I do its all own-pacey.

Had to cut down on reading Lost Slayer, got a book from the college library I have to finish before we go back. But I did get Buffy S2 V2 (Lie To Me - Bad Eggs) Script book, its fun reading. Wanted the next volume because of Innocence but its not on ebay, gargh!

LOL-Yeah, I am in the same place, although I'd be more than happy to jump in and post about those books I have already read. But, unfortunately, thanks to the reviews that I do for my brother's site, I would have to focus on those more than my own reading time...*sniffle*

I finally got to pick up the Lost Slayer book. When I saw it I had to get it, considering you all who read it seemed to love it. Haven't started reading it yet though.

And nope, haven't read Monster Island.

I have the book Monster Island in hardcover but only got through half. I had stopped for a while and kinda forgot what was happening :hmm: Well if you guys say it's good then I'll give it another go when I have the time. And yea from what I read it was okay.

Just a question. With WICCATHATWONT posting in the news forum about an Angel book drive I may just pick an Angel book up to support the drive, so what would you guys suggest? Cheers.

I'm all for Monster Island! And BillieHunter...if you can hold yourself back...try not to read the Lost Slayer book yet, I'll try and pick that one up and that can be our next book! 😉

I didn't get it yesterday, but I will today...pesky boyfriend doesn't like the bookstore 😀 I'm a fast reader..I don't know about all of you though...Let me know.

Sure, I haven't started it yet anyway. I've been waiting until I have some time. So just tell me when you get it and we can start it. That way we can discuss it together as we read it!

I'm a fairly fast reader as well!

Also perhaps we could discuss as we're reading too..hey what page are you on sort of thing... then discuss what's happened so far!

BillieHunter - awesome..I expect to be getting it in the next 3 weeks if you can hold out that long 😉

Well I've bought lots of books. As well as The Lost Slayer (which I've nearly finished, just 100ish more pages) and Buffy S2 V2 Script Book I bought the Angel book "Nemesis" for that Angel book drive. As they were buy one get one half price at WH Smiths I got Buffy's "Apocalpyse Memories" as well. Bought "The Xander Files" off ebay earlier and got "The Willow Files" from the library.

Went to the bookstore yesterday (finally), and got Monster Island and "Seven Seasons of Buffy: Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Discuss Their Favorite TV Show". My intention was to begin reading Monster Island first, but the other book just lured me in...its a collection of well written, insightful, witty, and sometimes hysterical essays on Buffy. I'm about 70 pages into it and I think its one of the better Buffy related books I've read. Its' written in language anyone can understand, as I know some other books like it, BTVS & Philosophy for example, are written with a knowledge of Philosophy in mind.

The one essay I enjoyed most so far was the discussion of how Xander is the "Most Powerful Individual Force For Good" in Sunnydale.

May have to look out for it. Get paid tomorrow (well today, on the PC too late) and going to enarby city on Monday and Tuesday for work. Going to try and get Wicked Willow I and II.

Finished The Lost Slayer. I liked it, mind drifted at times but it does that. Nice AU to look into and nice broody Xander, I liked that for the course of the book. However I think his motivation for the change was a bit extreme, I don't think it would cause him to go all that way. I got confused while reading, did he have long hair or shaven hair?
