Congrats to our MOTM (for like the 17th time...I'm sleep deprived and happy sue me) and to our NMOTM [MENTION=12043]mamarsh18[/MENTION]!

1.What actress do you think could play Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
2.Do you think a new Buffy should be blonde?
3.If you got to choose would you rather see a 'Buffy' movie without a new Buffy? (i.e. Seeing a new Slayer battling the forces of darkness perhaps with only a cameo from the iconic super Slayer?)

1. I can't see anyone playing Buffy except Sarah.
2. Being blonda is a big part of what makes Buffy so... Buffy to me, so yeah, she'd have to be blonde.
3. I'd prefer to see a new generation of slayer, possibly a few years after the end of season 7 (forgetting about S8 and S9). And an appearance of Buffy would just make it better 🙂

Wow, member of the month! Thanks guys! Honestly, I had no idea (**pulls out acceptance speech**). Seriously though, that's awesome. I love this place a lot so it's nice to see that I'm not hated and despised either!

For the questions:

1.What actress do you think could play Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
It's tough to think of anyone but SMG. Mainly, I just don't think the series needs a reboot. If Joss was involved yeah, I'd watch it, but I love Sarah, so a new one would be really strange. It would have to be someone perfect for the role.

Also, congrats to [MENTION=12094]whitewolf[/MENTION]! Following along as you're watching for the first time has been a lot of fun!

2.Do you think a new Buffy should be blonde?
She'd have to be. Especially in S1 the play-on for the series was the stereotypical blond girl actually being the one who kills the demons.

3.If you got to choose would you rather see a 'Buffy' movie without a new Buffy? (i.e. Seeing a new Slayer battling the forces of darkness perhaps with only a cameo from the iconic super Slayer?)
That would really interesting. If I got to choose I would love a true Buffy, Joss written-and-directed movie with the original cast plus Angel and Spike. If that never happens though a continuation with a different Slayer and a Buffy cameo would be cool.

Fabulous newsletter as always, guys!! Answers to the quesitons...

1.What actress do you think could play Buffy the Vampire Slayer? I feel like the only actress that can/should play buffy at this point is SMG. She was Buffy for seven years, so it's kindof hard to change from that now.
2.Do you think a new Buffy should be blonde? Yes. That was kind of the premise of the show for Joss. "Ditzy blonde kicks evil butt."
3.If you got to choose would you rather see a 'Buffy' movie without a new Buffy? (i.e. Seeing a new Slayer battling the forces of darkness perhaps with only a cameo from the iconic super Slayer?) I think this is a better idea than re-making the original movie with a different Buffy, but I don't know if I would watch it. Depends on if Joss and crew were involved!
 
So I forgot to answer the questions on the newsletter. Yay attention span!

1. I think Chloe Moretz would be ideal. She ticks all the boxes, providing it gets made in the next 8-10 years. She's the right age and she has proven with kick-Ass that she has the acting chops to do the comedy and drama required and the physicality to pull off the fight work necessary to play the Buffster.

2. Assuming that Buffy is still going to be the stereotypical Valley Girl type, then yeah, she kind of has to be. It's a stereotype for a reason 🙂

3. I wouldn't be opposed to a new Slayer franchise. As with everything it depends entirely on the casting. I still like the idea of a Buffy series set with Buffy now, as a 35 year old who comes home with after a day at work and has to sit in an ice bath to recuperate from the physical beating. That could be comedy gold.

Chloe Moretz is amazing. Everything I've seen her in has been great. She also has experience playing roles dealing with Vampires from "Let Me In" in which she was very good.

Reading something from that reminded me of something.. I recall some ten years ago going to a college party. They must have put so much money into this thing. You had to walk through this haunted house to get to the party in the back. The haunted house was better looking that some of the professional ones, haha. Then to add to that, they had a live band. They actually had a beer-slide that went from the upper deck to a small beer-pool. It was one of the coolest Halloween Parties I've ever been to. I've always tried to plan a halloween party for my kids, but first you have to walk through a small haunted house (kid friendly). Anywho, I'm rambling- is there a rambling award? haha
