And how about wonderful, willowy Willow? ''Well, what Willow is up to is not revealed right away, but she will show up. But I just got the cover of the first issue she appears,'' Whedon teases, ''and all I'll say is that it's awesome.'' Consider us officially slain anew.

Yeah, the pics are kind of Frayish. You can almost see Urkon in that monster she's fighting. Great though. It's like they keep saying. There's no longer limitations to what they can show.

This is just too wild. I'm looking more forward to this than Christmas.

I was a little worried it would look too slick, too clean. Some of Georges' other stuff is that way. And that promo "poster" thing too. But this looks gritty, rough. I like.

I even kinda like the commando garb Buffy's decked out in, heh. Looks like she borrowed some gear from Riley.

There's even three of me.

The guys figured I was a three...set up two other slayers to be me. One's underground. Literally.
One's in Rome partying very publicly--and supposedly dating some guy called "The Immortal".
That part was Andrew's idea. He did research on the guy, said it would be hilarious for some reason.
"Can't see a thing, ma'am."
"Can SMELL a thing, though."
Here at Command Central, not so much with the hilarious.
More with the "what the hell am I doing?"
"What th' hell is she doing?"
It's not all that different, though.
Still got my demons.
And I still got my watcher.

I frickin LOVE the art, Buffy is 100% perfect, I wouldn't change a thing! The first time I looked at it, I thought it was kinda crappy they were jumping out of a helicopter and holding guns, but it's growing on me (I saw it hours ago, but only commented now)

Those few lines are such a tease! Andrew thinking it funny to mess with Angel and Spike is brilliant!!

Yeah I was looking at that, the bit about there being 3 look-a-like Buffy's is intresting, and one of them is already dead?? Maye the whole loads of slayers thing is connected to Buffy in someway and if she's killed it goes away and becomes 1 again?

Oh I can't wait!!! Is it march yet? 🙁

I was thinking that maybe the other "Buffys" were robots, but either way these stand in Buffys arent that experianced which just comes to show you cant be as good as the real thing.

But it would be great to see Buffy-Bot again, she was great and could take over Anyas role with the funnyness even though she looks just like Buffy.

This actually makes me feel better about Angel Season 5 now. I really hated that whole concept...so that generic blonde bobbing on the Italian dancefloor was a knock off, good.

I'm with BEG a bit in that I'm not sure about all the high tech-ery, helicopters and such. I know Joss knows what he's doing. Don't want the Buffy version of "24".

I hated that episode Girl in question, because of the Immortal thing. It made me feel like I'd made a mistake in caring about these characters over the years. Buffy was a cheap bimbo. Spike and Angel were cuckolded bufoons. I couldn't believe Drew Goddard had a hand in writing it. He's so much the fan when he writes.

I should try to watch that ep again, now that I have a better idea of what was really going on.

do you think they had this all in mind when wroting the girl in question? Because I think a fair few fans were not much with the liking of the episode. I think they may have realised it was a bit sucky and come up with this idea, which I very much like! I need to watch that episode again too.

So season 8 sounds even more interesting still! I thinking its gonna be awesome!

I'm also thinking the hi-teciness has gotta be at least partcially initiative related. I mean the destruction of sunnydale surely would've been on their radar. I'm sure Riley would've at least checked out the sitch.

I wondered if backlash from The Girl in Question had something to do with s8's storyline, too. I think it's possible that Joss came up with a convenient and yet plausible excuse to explain what was going on with the The Immortal, as he so often does. I love that he made it Andrew's idea, tho.....that's so hilarious! Interesting, WHTGTV?, I'm wondering if the "mission" they're on is Initiative-related, too. With all the gear and tech stuff, I'm thinking it has to be......or the Council's (what's left of them, which would be Giles, I guess) has decided to keep up with the times, finally. I mean, it took till s7 for Buffy to get a cellphone, fer pete's sake!
