We alredy had a thread for this some time ago, but I think it disappeared to the cemetery? Well, I found a nice reference the other day and thought it was time we needed a thread to collect them all again.

In Malcolm in the Middle, an episode in early s1, Francis is talking on the phone to his girlfriend, who, turns out, is watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer as they phone 😀

EDIT: This is the old thread...if anyone is really interested in how often Buffy makes an appearance in non-Buffy stuff 😉

My two favourite shows <33 :D (w/ Angel of course ;])
There's two that I remember off the top of my head:

One was in a Season 4 episode of Gilmore Girls where Paris wants to go out at 11pm (le gasp!) and Rory asks who she expects to meet - Spike and Drusilla?

And then there's the Supernatural episode which first featured the two guys who later went on to found the Ghostfacers. One of them asks himself, "WWBD? What would Buffy do?"

haha yeah i remember that in SN
My all time favorite one was an episode of Friends where Phoebe's friend is making a porno called Buffet the Vampire Layer. I spit out my drink laughing 😀

Could have been, I saw the episode a long time ago

Wasn't that Phoebe's twin sister?
Oh oh oh, In charmed,
'where is Buffy when you need her?'

not the best i know )

Phoebe: I hate cemetery's at day. (They hear a noise.) What was that? Prue: Ah, probably a zombie or vampire. Phoebe: Great, where's Buffy when you need her ...

Very recently in Castle, I know.

And it's not Buffy, but in an early episode of Bones, Zack mentions that he watches Firefly.

Does he?!! I will have to watch that series again!
In Scary Movie, Shannon Elizabeth did a parody on SMG's character(Helen) from I Know What You Did Last Summer. She supposed to use the name that similar to Helen, but instead, her name was Buffy. 😀

In the movie Night Watch(I think it's Russian movie, but they speak English), a kid was watching TV and it's episode Buffy vs Dracula on TV on the scene that Dracula said "I am Dracula" and Buffy answered "Get out!". And the kid asked his mom if vampires really exist.

I think someone already mentioned it in old thread that in She's the Man, the school name was Illyria. 😛

Oh yeah! I've seen She's The Man, but I never thought about it like that

Actually, She's the Man didn't get the name Illyria from Angel, they got it from the same place Joss did - Shakesespeare. She's the Man is actually a modern-day retelling of Twelfth Night. :)
Season 5 of "Smallville," Episode 5 "Thirst" Lana meets and is turned by "Buffy Saunders, the vampire" into...oh. you get it.

wow great references!!!the only one i have watched is "buffy the vampire layer" from Friends...totally hilarious!!!HAHAHAHAHA!:lmao:

I was watching the Nickelodeon cartoon "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" with my daughter once where they were dressed up for Halloween. Cindy, the little blonde girl on the show, was Buffy. 😉

In "Roswell", "Secrets and Lies" Max (who player Ford in BTVS) goes undercover on the Paramount lot, in order to sneak into the vault, and applies for a part on "Enterprise". I can't remember the exact line, but he isays that he'll try out for Buffy next.

One of my favorite shows, South Park, references Buffy in "The New Terrance and Philip Movie Trailer". The ep centers around the main characters trying to find a TV to watch a movie trailer that comes on during an imaginary (and deliberately awful) show called "Fightin Round the World" with Russel Crowe. Stan fights with his sister for the remote, because she wants to watch Buffy instead.

Found this on another site:
"In Unfabolous, Gena and Zach were having a discussion about the Season 6 Permier."

It's not exactly a Buffy reference, but SMG routinely comes on Seth Green's Robot Chicken, as herself, or other guest voices. I keep waiting for them to do a Buffy parody.

I thought I remembered seeing a Buffy parody once, but haven't been able to find it -anywhere-!
I just remembered another one. When I was younger I used to read this teen Sci-Fi book series called "Animorphs". One of the characters, I believe it was Marco, half-jokingly says he can't come to one of the missions because it's Thursday and Buffy is on.

There's a shows that's just started on E4 in the UK called 'Being Ericka' (I think). I don't watch it but its advertised on E4 all the time. Basically she gets to go back in time to sort out her regrets, something like that. Anyway, this week the narration on the advert says something about her 'even being allowed to pretend she's Buffy the [ruddy = typical word for E4] Vampire Slayer.' There's a few clips and it looks like they're all dressed up and stuff. I might watch it just to see! 😉

This sounds like a rip off of Tru Calling.

Not that we haven't stolen "The Office" and "Who's Line is it Anyway"

I think it's an American show, well I don't think it's British. Don't hold me to that though!
