Do you own a copy of the album of Christophe Beck's compositions that was released? I have it and absolutely love it...
Just wondering, for those who have it, what is your favorite piece of music? Mine is "Spellbound" from "Who Are You". 🙂 It feels like such a mysterious and beautiful piece of music. Almost like "Sacrifice" from "The Gift".
Thoughts?
 
I got the full soundtracks for both BtVS and Angel on DvD. My favorite pieces? I loved 'The Princess Screams'(The Initiative/Hush), 'Angel Waits'(Passion), 'Loneliness of Six'(Lovers' Walk), 'Slayer's Elegy'(The Wish), 'Waking Willow'(Becoming), 'A Really Big Sandbox'(Restless), 'Sacrifice'(The Gift), 'Cursed'(Innocence?), 'Faith's End'(Graduation Day), 'Little Miss Muffet'(Graduation Day), 'Magic Snow'(Amends), 'One Last Look'(Graduation Day) and 'Final Battle'(Chosen).

Yea I know that's a lot, haha. 😛
 
I just bought it from iTunes a few weeks ago but haven't had the chance to fully listen to it yet. I really love 'Remembering Jenny' from 'Passion' though. It's one of the few pieces that I can instinctively recognize and it's so sad and beautiful. 🙁
 
It always amazes me when people notice the musical score on a television show. I think you people must just be so much deeper, or more intelligent, or something, than me. I feel like I'm just really missing something that I should be better at noticing. I love reading this stuff.

That is the one piece I wish was on here, and it's not. 🙁 It's such a sad, sweet and emotional piece, with ASH singing the vocal.

Do you never watch a scene and not get moved by the scene?? Seriously? Awww... Surely you notice and just don't realize it. 🙂 For instance, the epic music that plays in "Chosen" during the final fight?? That piece of music alone moves me to tears.

Oh and I really love "Slayer's elegy" from The Wish. I think it's very beautiful and moodful
 
I don't own the music but I did have some of it on Spotify. I love the Chosen theme, as well as Buffy and Angel's 'Close your eyes' score. The one from The Gift is stunning and always makes me teary.
 
Close Your Eyes is still my favourite. I really cannot express how wonderful I think it is or how intricately Beck wove it into Buffy and Angel's story. It's perfection.

My other two favourites are Loneliness of Six (from Lovers Walk) and Sacrifice.

I agree; that piece couldn't be more fitting for Buffy and Angel's relationship. 🙂
 
I have really been into listening to both the Buffy score & the Angel score lately (I've had the Beck one for a while, just got the Angel DVD). I wish there was more non-Beck BTVS music available (I'd love both the Briley & Spuffy themes, I think those were done by Duncan, right?). I love the music from Restless. I think that Jenny's song is on the Once More With Feeling sountrack album. I've got that CD coming from Amazon soon. I adore the score from Becoming, since it includes Close Your Eyes in it. I even have a "Buffy/Angel score" playlist on my iPod. 🙂

The OMFW soundtrack has, Hush, Restless and the Gift on it
Close your eyes is fantastic, extremely moving. Season 2 is very powerful in terms of music. Scenes in "Passion", "Innocence" and B"ecoming" spring to mind. The end of "The Gift" also stands out, one of those scenes which is hard to watch because of what's going on and the music in the background.
 
There is a person on youtube that has uploaded a lot of them. 🙂 They are all very beautiful and wonderfully scored.

I'm looking for the Dark Magick scene (Tough Love/Villains) score. Does anyone know if it is available somewhere online?

Thank you! I'll have to download and see when I get home, but it's the scene when Willow consumes the Dark Magick book in Villians.

I would imagine that the music is having an effect on me in a subconscious way, but I've almost never actually noticed the music. I first started seeing people talk about music on the 24 forum and I was like, wow, I never noticed that. After that, once in a great while I'll notice the music, but it's very rare.

If the score for the final fight in Chosen came on the radio right now I wouldn't even recognize it. Isn't that awful?

What I probably need to do is remember to make a conscious decision to appreciate the music while I'm watching something.
 
Oh my favorites are Sacrifice from the gift. Can't listen to that score with out seeing the scene it plays during. Close your eyes, the Final fight from Chosen, Remembering Jenny, Magic Snow from Amends. Class protector. I like almost all of the score's I have found from Buffy. I have a play-list on my I pod designated to Buffy for whenever I am in the mood.🙂
 
I was in concert band for 12 years, so I think if you have that kind of background, you might notice symphonic music more. Even before I had any of the albums, the pieces that stood out to me the most were the tracks from The Gift, Chosen, and Hero (ATS season 1).
