Moonset- how do you know that they "ignored" that fact?
I'm with patriot1123 on this one. While I think in my gut that she is guilty, I wasn't in the courtroom listening to every bit of evidence presented every single day. We don't know what was going through the jury's mind but I'm sure we soon will as soon as the interviews start.
Children die every day, some at the hands of those who are supposed to be caring for them. It's terrible. But what makes this case different? Because she's a pretty white girl who has a young, pretty white mother? I guarantee that if this was a Hispanic or black child, we wouldn't have this kind of coverage. Is this case more important because Nancy Grace deems it so? (God, I can't stand that woman!)
What bugs me is how obsessed some of my FB friends are about this. 10 years ago I became obsessed with that woman in Texas who killed her 5 kids then I realized that it was not good for my mental health as I was dealing with post-partum depression. I have 3 children to parent. Aren't they better off with me focusing on them than focusing on a media-induced frenzy I can do nothing about?
I guess one good thing coming out is a petition I saw to criminalize not reporting a missing child. The petition wanted federal charges for that but I don't know how that will hold up. Any opinions on that?
