Has anyone watched the movie?I have, and I give it 8 out of 10 stars. It was a great movie!Don't listen to the reviewers on the newspaper. This movie was soo awesome. You should go and watch it!It was filled with action, adventure, drama, romance, and comedy! If you watched it, you can add your review here, too!But only good reviews, no bad reviews!
My ratings for this movie:
(These are all out of ten stars)
Story-*******
Special Effects/Picture-******
Overall Movie-********

What do you give this movie? If you haven't watched it, would you, after viewing the user reviews?

Ive been hearing bad things about Catwoman and they was putting me of it, but I might go see it. In Heat they was saying it opened in the US with poor $17million and drew fire from critics, saying "plummets to the dimmest recesses of popcorn inanity" and "barely held together by a script that should have been tossed out with the kitty litter". Most people have been telling me its good so when It does come out over here I may go see it..

How can you make a good judgement on a film if you are only allowed to post positive reviews? I ain't seen it but everywhere I look people are bashing it and it flopped badly in the US. Here are some snippet from reviews:

"This cat doesn't purr. "
-- Victoria Alexander, FILMSINREVIEW.COM

"Despite its feline pretensions, Catwoman belongs to another animal family -- it's either a dog or a turkey. Take your pick."
-- James Berardinelli, REELVIEWS

"When is a cat a dog? When it's Catwoman."
-- Richard Corliss, TIME MAGAZINE

"Tired and dated."
-- Roger Ebert, CHICAGO SUN-TIMES

"Most of the movie has the cruddy lighting and generic, death-by-franchise atmosphere of a third-rate spectacle that's been worked over by too many hacks."
-- Owen Gleiberman, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

"So bad that I actually recommend you see it. It's the movie you and your friends will rip on all summer long."
-- James Brundage, FILMCRITIC.COM

Needless to say I'll avoid this like the plague.

That looks like the worst attempt at a comic book film I've ever seen. Halle Berry looks horrible - they took a character that could be really interesting and just made another cheesy crap fest.

I will be avoiding this film at all costs, not interested in going to see it or renting it. I have never actually seen a trailer for a movie that I didn't like, so this is a first, normally I watch the trailer, movie rubbish, so if they picked parts of it to try and hype the movie up then I really dread to see what the full version would be like.

I saw it. I thought it was a good movie. I liked it better than Spiderman 2. I am looking foward to Catwoman 2 because the character will be even more developed. Halle Berry's great. I never listen to the critics. Everybody has his/her own opinion.

A sequel is about as likley as Hitler returning from the grave and directing a musical episode of The Simpsons. The film has flopped in every region it has been released in and it hated by the critics. Don't think the WB are stupid enough to do a sequel (although they did cancel Angel). Forget Catwoman and wait for a decent Superhero flick to come out...like Batman Begins.

Same here I will in no way be watching this movie. The thought of going - well it's not a pleasant one.

I'm glad that some of you liked it though!

I just HAVE to turn the channel anytime they even run the trailer though.

I have learned not to pay attention to the opinions of others and simply follow my own. I saw CATWOMAN. Granted, it wasn't as good as SPIDERMAN 2, but it was just as good as SPIDERMAN.

I suspect that a lot of people were put off that the movie didn't touch on the Batman/Gotham City connections, it added a new background to the Catwoman story and that the lead was portrayed by an African-American actress. These were the complaints that I had heard. I had decided to ignore them and watch the movie, anyway. And I'm glad that I did. I had enjoyed it.

Your definetly right LadyLavina! This movie was as great as Spiderman 2, but It was as good as spiderman 2!This movie is enjoyable for all ages.I'm 12 years old, and I enjoyed the movies. Many of the pople in the theatres were of different ages, from children to seniors.Everyone had happy faces, when they left the theatre. It was an exciting movie. The people who reviwed the movie, were so hateful. The reasons why they hated the movie, was probably cause it was based on it's own location, not gotham city. There was no batman, or any of the batman characters. It was only based on the character catwoman, not the batman series itself. The critics got mad, because they used a black female for her character.Racism, is another reason why the critics didn't like the movie.I'm telling you all, go watch the movie. It's worth buying.I can't wait for the dvds of catwoman to come out, cause i'm going to buy it.if your a christian, have s trong faith like me and my family, you won't listen to the critics. The Passion Of Christ was given low ratings at first, because of the atheist. But when people, like christians watch it, they learn many great and important lessons. It was a very good movie, and I watche dit many times, with my family. So this is why you shouldn't listen to critics. It's like people telling you what to watch, or not to watch. It's your choice, If your interseted in it, go watch it.Listen to the public viewers, that actually watched the movie, such as me.Not the critics, who always wants to bash a great movie, just because of it's differences. So go watch this movie!!It's great!!!

I never listen to movie critics, I tend not to listen to personal reviews either because how does someone else know what I like in a movie? My feelings towards this have nothing to do with the fact that the lead actress is black, or because its not based in Gotham, but for the reason Buffy stated in her post, the have taken what could have been a good character and ruined it, something which has happened to other comic to film movies.

Maybe the reason everyone hates it is not because the critics are "racist' or because of characters and locations. Maybe the reason everyone hates it was because...well...it really did suck. I'm going to go with the majority and say I have no interest in seeing the movie at all.

Have You watched Catwoman?

Have You watched Catwoman?Do this poll, only If you watched catwoman. If not, don't do it.I voted for great, because it was a great movie. Not as good as Spiderman 2, but as good as spiderman(the first movie). To get my full review of the movie, please check my other thread, called: "Catwoman".

Meanwhile. Halle Berry is just as white as she is black. Second of all, Eartha Kitt was one of if not the most popular Catwomen on the 60's Batman series. Look at how well all Halle's other movies have done - which is why they chose her to play this role. I don't think people don't like the movie because of a black actress.

She's wearing open-toed shoes. You can't kick butt in open-toed shoes. That turned me off completely.....oh and the fact that the movie looks like utter crap.

Please don't take offense to this, but maybe when you're older you'll understand what makes a good movie. Things like good dialogue, strong characterization, logical plot development...all things that this movie doesn't have.

The reasons why they hated the movie, was probably cause it was based on it's own location, not gotham city. There was no batman, or any of the batman characters.

None of the reviewers I saw even mentioned this as a flaw. I think a solo Catwoman movie could have been great, if they actually respected the source material.

The critics got mad, because they used a black female for her character.Racism, is another reason why the critics didn't like the movie.

Have you actually seen a critic complaining about her race, or is this just something you made up?

if your a christian, have s trong faith like me and my family, you won't listen to the critics. The Passion Of Christ was given low ratings at first, because of the atheist. But when people, like christians watch it, they learn many great and important lessons. It was a very good movie, and I watche dit many times, with my family. So this is why you shouldn't listen to critics.

I can't believe you're even comparing this piece of garbage to The Passion of the Christ. That movie got good reviews, anyway.

Let me ask you a question: Should someone who's never read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea be allowed to make a movie based on that book? Then why are these people making a Catwoman movie when they have never read a comic book in their lives?

This could have been the best movie of all time, and I still wouldn't contribute any money to it. This is not Catwoman. It's a completely different character with the same name. They were so focused on putting a "fresh new spin" on the character, no one even took the time to consider who the character already is. The current Catwoman comic book series is being praised as one of the best comic books out there. If they had considered the source material, it could have been a good movie.

Oh, and could you please leave spaces in between your sentences? It's very hard to understand you.

Ive read about the racism bit on various threads (on other boards).

It's disgusting people are trying to play the race card. Im not even that old but am I the only person that remembers a black female the amazing Mrs EARTHA KITT pretty much defined the Cat Women role? So why would the critics care that a black woman played the role? The answer is they don't and I don't think anyone who hates the movies hates it because she's black they hate it because it sucks and ewwwww you compared it to the Passion. WWJD? definetly not that.

LMFAO! I think that just could be the funniest thing I have ever read 😀

And some very good points there FE 🙂 There is so much excellent source material available and the development teams on these comics-"based" shows and films just choose to throw it out the window. Why is it so difficult to find someone who actually respects the genre to make the film? How long again until Batman Begins? 😀
