i am highly annoyed. I tried talking to them...It was okay at start, but then it got a bit odd and I had to leave. Figures. Anyway. As far as i can figure they mentioned stay alive and you threatened to ban them? thats a bit off, but the thing I cannot stand is the fact that they thought they would just start attacking everybody who talked.

Well, you know your board is in trouble when you're having to assault another board's chatrooms...that screams of declining activity and desperation for new members. It's kind of sad really...especially when you take into consideration that the people are obviously severely socially handicapped...

^^ That was really my take on it too. I tried to imagine the day that I got bored enough in the IRC to gather a pack to go insult another board. It wasn't easy to imagine.

On the FLIP side, it does speak well for Buffy. I know it's in the FAQs and stuff to not spam the board or other boards, but with the little community we have here, I never feel the need to wander about and drag new people in. Or even wander.
I was remembering being so excited when I joined Whedonesque, but I honestly don't even go there anymore but maybe once every 3 months to see if there is any breaking news that hasn't been delivered to me yet or to find an interview.

This place is too nice to even go looking!

Can the admin send me the IP addresses of these individuals? I would like to discipline them, but some did not use their forum usernames. I do not want them to be a part of my community, this behavior is inexcusable, no matter where you are.

I want to send the message across to you (BB) that this attack was not something that is okay with the moderators of that forum, nor it's admin. This has taken us all by surprise and I must say that I am in shock as I type this. Mainly because we have had a small issues with trolling as of late, and a few people who did this to you had raised hell over people trolling my forum! So I am very surprised, and angered by this. It's very embarrassing because this reflects badly on my forum, and I already see that we are not well liked here as it is. Spam is spam, and it's not okay for them to have: a) tried to 'advertise' (as they put it) ********* on here. SPAM. and b) be so completely rude, disrespectful, and trolling!

To Buffy Summers, all of the things that were copied last year have long been removed as that was a change implemented by a mod, that I have since removed. I was unaware of all that. While all BtVS forums are bound to be similar I try to make ours different by focusing more on Buffy Season 8, etc. The only similarity as of now is the 'episode viewing' board, but our set-up of that is even different than the one here. Believe me, I do not visit this forum, especially not to bite off of your ideas.

I am very sorry about all of this, and embarrassed. I hope that you will not let the stupid actions of a few paint the entire site in a terrible way. Especially when said individuals are going to be removed from it. I realize that none reading this are likely to ever go there, and that is perfectly fine. But please don't bash *********. I would not tolerate BB bashing over there, so it would be appreciated if that was returned here. Thanks for your time, and sorry once again.

I apologize for the double-post...but I can't figure out how to/if I can modify my previous post. Yes, it is extremely humiliating. But what is worse, to let it continue or to say something right away to try and clear the air?

We're all here because we love the same thing: Buffy. So when there is not unity in that I get upset. And things like this happening don't help at all. The people that did this, have a spotty history on my site as well. Still, this is pretty shocking to me. I just hope that nothing else happens on here, regarding members from my forum/bad stuff.
