My husband and I watched Firefly a few years ago, and I recall liking it well enough, but had no desire to rewatch it immediately as I did with BtVS and AtS.
A couple of weeks ago I decided to rewatch it.
Well, I dragged myself through the first four eps, putting off new eps every day, and taking about two weeks just to watch those four eps, and came to a realization.
Firefly is BORING. I don't like any of the characters and couldn't care less what happens to them. The plots are all the same (to the extent I can follow them at all).
I was surprised -- very surprised -- by this conclusion. But nonetheless I put the boxed set back together last night (after only getting halfway through the fifth ep), put it back on the shelf, stuck in the next ep of BtVS on my second rewatch, and greatly improved the quality of my evening.
