Converting Others to Buffy

.
In the same way, there are instances in BtVS where characters say things that aren't natural. And they're often funny or clever or poignant and so on, but often it's not the way people normally speak. It's something I had to get used to when watching this series for the first time.

I was relieved to finally watch a show where "normal" people actually DID speak like me! You just wait... you'll snapping like Cordelia and cracking Xander jokes in no time 😛

Im proud to announce that I just got my friend into the show. She always laughed at me for watching the show. But I showed her those fan trailers for S1-3 on youtube and it intrigued her. I started her on S1 last week and she is already up to Season3 and loving every minute of it.

I'm glad for you, I hope I'll be able to manage to do the same thing with my most reluctant friend. But she allowed me on my last birthday to show her one episode, we watched "Checkpoint", and I was glad to see her laugh at times, and quite enjoy it I think. It's still to early for her to actually admit it though. 😛 In the end, the only problem she had with the episode was the special effects (Glory sucking in brains particularly). I'm waiting for this summer, when she's seriously TV-show-deprived, to suggest a good ol' season of Buffy, I don't think she'll resist very long.
