This is a thread for the pure reason of convincing Social Suicide to watch Dr Who and also try and convince other Buffy Boarders too.
It starts tomorrow night🙂

OK, its about a timelord called the doctor who used to live on the planet Gallifrey but it got destroyed in the "Time War" a long way back. He's traveled around for years and he's always had a companion. The show started in 64 or so but it started again in 2005. In the 1st season of 2005 he found "Rose" he traveled through time & space with her and then the daleks, (the timelords enemy race) tried to take over the world, and the doctor "died" but actually he regenerated. he returned in season 2 with a new body. By the end of season 2, Rose was trapped in a parallel world and the doctor had to leave her. In season 3, he found martha (ew). at the end of season 3, martha left him. so theres a little sum up for you. The doctor travels in time and space, fighting aliens....etc etc. 😀
I just spent the last hour watching the final ep of Torchwood, and the last 15 minutes of said Torchwood in floods of tears. Nothing can beat that. I will not replace John Barrowman with David Tenant, or Gareth-Lloyd Jones with Cathrine Tate!! No competition, sorry! 😀

Ah...but that incredibly good emotional episode of Torchwood...poor Tosh! "...because you're breaking my heart"...was just a taster for what promises to be the bestest ever series of Doctor Who...especially if any of BotD's theories are right 🙂
Mr. Pointy agrees: You read my mind...I got the feeling from watching Declassified that James would do it 🙂
Lyri agrees: Jaw droppingly hott!! Too bad he's gay, lol! Capt John's pretty easy on the eyes, too! 😉
LOL! Well, the friend that likes him is gay, too, so that works out well, except that I think Capt. Jack has a partner, doesn't he? Anyway, I think he's cute, but not all that, you know? He and I have very different taste in men, tho, he never agrees with the ones I think are hot!
We can thank Joss, Buffy and Angel for the new Doctor Who and it's spin-off Torchwood, Russell T. Davies (the British Joss, head writer on both shows) had the Buffyverse in mind when writing both shows (i.e. similar tone, style, e.t.c.) and credited Buffy and Angel for being major inspirations.
