As I understand it the body of Cordelia may have had sex with Connor but the true essence of Cordelia did not. It was the evil entity in control of Cordelia's form who did.

It's like if Wesley had sex with Illyria, would he be having sex with Fred?

Cordy being impaired at the wheel should get her a free pass. Even so, it starting raining fire, personally I think I would jump the nearest person if that happened.

it wasn't really Cordelia, as many people have stated before. she was being controlled at that time by Jasmine, or the essence of who Jasmine really is.

it's all so complicated after the fact - but i remember at the time (being spoiler free was so exciting) being so shocked and slightly disturbed by them sleeping together - my brain just couldn't get around the whole - i'll sleep with the boy i was practically a mother to just so he can 'experience something real'
ugh it made me all uncomfortable lol
but after the 'big reveal' it all sort of made sense from the fake-cordy side of things, it's still weird from connor's side of the argument, that is one messed up (but extremely hot) guy

This made me think of something. Don't you think the way they dished out the Cordy and Connor thing is similar to what they'll be doing with Buffy Season 8 where

Never really phased me. For one thing I was totally plot spoiled by that point and so was aware that it wasn't really Cordy doing the deed.

Besides that, the whole "she was his mother" thing is overplayed, in my opinion. He only was in their lives as a baby for maybe a few weeks, tops. Cordy wasn't even around for all of that time either. She maybe gave him a couple of dozen bottles of milk and changed his diaper once in a while. Probably no more than Wes, Fred or anyone else did. Were they all his mothers and fathers?

Had it actually been Cordy sleeping with Connor the only issue I would have had would have been how uncaring she would have been to Angel's feelings. The supposed "incest" uproar never made any sense to me at all.

I wasn't a fan of it or anything, but I wasn't completely against it...I knew that Cordy was evil anyway. And Connor is a horny teenager, you think he'd stop and think about what he was doing?

He's a character from the Angel season 5 episode Girl in Question.

It's a similar thing to the Cordy and Connor thing in that you're called upon to question the inner strengths of your champions when he's around. Spike and Angel become buffoons. Buffy becomes a Paris Hilton wannabe.
