I guess it's the problem I have with the whole God factor. Like, I believe in God, I just don't believe that he influences every single thing that happens in my life. I always picture it as God created this world, and watches how it plays out. He creates a person, and though he may play a hand in how a person gets to where they are by giving them certain gifts, but as far as pulling all the strings, that's thing thing I have a hard time believing. Which I guess is how Jasmine was.
See in this comment you have just said you believe in God but you don't believe he influences every single thing that happens in like.
Then you go on to say you do believe God pulls some strings.
If that sits well with you then why do you use it as a means to say Jasmines 'gifts' were unbelievable.
First of all we don't get told that every single thing on the planet is controlled by Jasmine, just the events that matter to get the gang to where she needs them.
If she truly controlled every aspect of all these lives, would it really have taken so long with so much planning to get the group where they are?
I don't actually see a problem with one of these higher powers affecting certain events within the lives of Angel and co that big a deal CONSIDERING that was kinda the premise.
The PTB's send Angel messages through Doyle, and later Cordelia, that he feels a certain obligation to do, thus they control him.
Then we also know these same beings have the ability to reverse some of Angels 'mistakes'.
Fact is, they do control him to an extent but are more obvious about it.
When Angel wants something that benefits him and his cause, they ignore but when he wants something they do want, the oblige.
Jasmine was not God, just a being that carefully manipulated events in 'our' world to make its accessible to her through Angel.
