Another 'new Buffy', is coming to British screens this Autumn:

Howard Overman's Crazyhead is billed as a Buffy-style demon-slaying comedy horror, coming to E4 this autumn. Here's the first trailer...
With family teatime series Atlantis put to bed over at the BBC, creator Howard Overman has moved on to a new fantasy show, this time a horror comedy for E4.

Crazyhead stars Downton Abbey's Cara Theobold and Chewing Gum's Susan Wokoma as a pair of 'unlikely' demon hunters. It's a series looking to ride on Buffy The Vampire Slayer's coat-tails judging by the Buffy-alike intro to this first trailer:


Netflix has ponied up some cash for this project, which means it will have online streaming rights globally following Crazyhead's E4 premiere this autumn.

Sounds rubbish:
"I had this idea that these girls were both battling their demons in friendship and love and all the sort of messed up shit you have to deal with in life, as well as actual demons. It’s as much about their friendship as the horror genre elements, about two slightly lost girls who find each other."

Will be rubbish.

I think it looks funny, so I will definitely watch. It's made by the same people who made Misfits, and that was good, so I'm expecting this not to be awful 🙂
 
I am with @Mr. Pole on this one. I think it is trying to rip off Buffy too much rather than do its own thing. It just seems to be hitting you over the head with its core concept. Looks more annoying than fresh or funny. Based on the trailer I will be giving it a skip.
 
Well I try not to judge a book by it's cover. It's got good pedigree. It could be the spiritual successor to The Fades, which also blended humour and the supernatural well. Sometimes these things are worth a go. 🙂

Can't believe you pulled out the book and cover phase😀 I would give it a look too. But there are so many things nowadays so you have to pick and choose. Based on that it doesn't standout to me.
 
@Mr Trick - if it truly is a terrible show, I give you full permission to brag publicly about you being right and me being wrong about this subject 😛😀

If it's actually decent, the opposite applies 😉

Fair enough.
I'll watch the first episode before deciding whether to continue or not. If either of the two leads are annoying then I won't watch. One irritating character can ruin a show eg the gay nephew in ugly betty.
 
Hm, them demons will save money not needing to buy lipstick. And what's with shoving that thing up their botty's, who is going to be the first here who will ask where Mr. Pole has been. Oh.. ..
 
Finally watched the first episode. I liked the story, though it was pretty basic; there are demons in the world and only people who have been diagnosed with psychiatric disorders can see them, hence the title. The two leads were trying too hard to be whimsical and amusing but it was only the first episode and they should get better once they settle down a bit. It was okay, 5/10, room for improvement but not totally horrible

This sounds like the insane people who accosted Dawn and told her she was nothing and that she shouldn't exist. They could see the Key when no one else could.

I've watched 2 eps of The Missing and I don't have a clue what is going on 🙂 I'm hoping it'll all become clear soon
 
just watched episode 1. I'm not sure what I think. Is this a new Buffy? If you have seen it what do you think?
 
I watched the first episode, and I liked the set up, but the actors weren't that engaging to me. Are you going to watch ep 2? I'm not sure I will
