Cut Scene from Chosen!

I agree. And those flashbacks would only have been necessary to people who hadn't seen that much of the show... And then it would've been pretty pointless, 'cause no flashbacks can decribe what those situations were really about anyway.. And I don't know if many people watched the last season without having seen most parts of the show already..

Although yes I agree that Xander didn't get enough good bye time..

I'd love to see a "directors cut" of Chosen someday. Maybe on a future DVD release Joss could add back in some of the scenes he had to remove so that we can see exactly what he really wanted the finale to be.

Come to think of it he should do that for every episode, hehe!

A scene I'd have like to seen is the extended Buffy's speech. I believe in the commentary for the episode Joss said that there was a longer version of the speech and SMG performed it so well at the end the extras got up and clapped. So its more of an outake actually but I'd really like to see it.
 
guys it would be neat to see the entire episode without the cuts. i know some stuff isnt needed, but still neat to see.
 
I think the last ep should have been longer, but I am glad the flashbacks were cut, I think they would have been so cheesy.

I would have LOVED to see the flashbacks , reminds us of the begining ... um oversentimental ? well if it is the that's the way i'd like it, if it made us cry at the end and it was both really sad and really happy then that's the way i'd like it ...
 
Why didn't they cut the Wood/Faith scene then?

I love Faith but she wasn't with Wood for that long. It wasn't finale-worthy.
 
Because it was very significant for her character... it marked a big change.
 
i think the finale should have been 2 hours long and i think that the flashback scene should have been it would have been so powerful and i think they should have had some more airtime for ppl like xander and willow they should have had a longer more important main characters scene i mean i love it when they all talked at the high school about going to the mall that was great but since they are the main 4 they should have had a more special thing like say the FLASHBACK 🙂
 
I agree that it would have been nice to see the scene, but get why they cut it. (Although yeah, they SO should have done a 2 hour thing for the finale- expanded it a bit more)

I was thinking this may have been where this scene originally was (just judging by Buffy's expression and her being alone in the hall, figured this may have been where they cut it)
 
I would have loved to see the flashbacks, just to remind us all the troubles she and her friends have gone through in their seven years of slaying. I think it was rally emotional when they were all leaving Buffy and when she went down the hall, but i think the flashbacks would have made it more emotional!

Yes the fianlle should have been two hours long. I would have loved to see Oz, Cordy and Tara in it though....
 
they shoudl have kept that scene it would have been great to see that flashback.
 
Tara's spirit should have been in it. That's neat sounding. Oh, and Buffy's mom that died.
 
Flashbacks would have been nice, but a little too "clip show" for my liking. If the recap had been a montage, a la "The Gift", it would have been cool, but not half-way through an episode. I even prefer throwback to flashbacks, i.e. characters returning either by their own accord or through The First.
