Happy that her travels had finished for a while, a heavily pregnant
Darla made it to the town of Totnes. The captain of the ship she
was on told her that a passport was necessary, but she was

becoming fed up with his silly advances and really p_ _ _ _ d off
with his cautious attempts at bedding her. One night she let him,
but she did wonder what the new captain would taste like.

Sat in her room, during one of those long moments of boredom, she
had the memories of Angel trying to be nice to her. Mind you, as
she remembered the other dreams of throwing Angel into a pit of

wood then walking away smiling while those silly schoolgirls threw
matches at him. Oh how she smiled.
Sitting at the stone cross in what the towns people jokingly called

the town square, Darla was befriended by another vampire, Rahl,
who offered to let her stay with her in Cornworthy. Two days later
after two and a half years of being pregnant Darla succumbed to

the imminent pressures of childbirth. A local going home late one
evening saw Darla collapse in the garden, not being able to find a
pulse the midwife called an ambulance.

After Darla had been on the ward for six minutes she convinced the
other women not to annoy her. In the morning she got the same
respect from the nurses. One bright and happy nurse said she

wanted to see the happy smiles of the women and opened a
window blind. Darla asked her politely not to open the next window
blind, but the nurse carried on with what she was doing, until Darla

let loose with a barrage of insults culminating with telling the nurse
that she'd rip her throat out and drink her dry. The nurse closed the
window blind. She did how-ever suggest to Darla that it would be

nice to open the blinds just a few inches but she recoiled in horror
as Darla began a long, low, growl.......................
I wonder if Angel's ears burnt, they definately would have done as

the second girl was born. Rahl was with her during the births, she
knew what Darla would want just after the births. A black plastic
bag with a black pipe was a handy container for Darla to drink the

human blood from. Darla continued to mutter the obsenities about
Angel. Rahl pointed out that getting maintenance from a vampire
for two vampire girls might be problematic.

During the next few days the hospital administators experienced
another problem, there was several extra unexplained deaths, even
more so when Rahl came to visit. Darla did learn one thing during

her stay in the hospital, not to visit the people on the Oncology
ward again. Whilst the walking on the ceiling was fun, and the
flying through the corridors did appear to be interesting, she forgot

to change into a bird several times.
Lying on her bed one night she thought of Fred and Wesley, and
she wondered how they react the knowing that the Tro-Clon was

in fact, Darla and her Daughters.

RALE..pronounced rahl. Sound additional to that of respiration, heard in
unhealthy lungs.

Darla and her Daughters 2nd bit.

By the evening of the next day, Darla was back at Rahl's house which
was just as well as Darla's daughters had started growing. Rahl had
been surprised at the rate that Darla's daughters were growing, as
she said, it isn't many five week olds that you see that can walk, talk

and have a full set of teeth. The pair of them, Angela and Germima
were both like their mother, very beautiful and vampires !. Rahl had
done a bit of reading, she came across the name Darla several times
in connection with many atrocities. It was then that she realised that

Darla would want to go back to LA for some serious payback. It was
at that point that Rahl decided to get a bit fitter.
Darla's daughters seemed to be growing at about a year per week,
the girls agreed that growing up that quick was a good thing. Darla

and Rahl were just as impressed as neither of them had the terrible
two's or the pain of the first teeth to deal with, although they had
missed the first words and the girls taking their first steps. There was
a big positive though, not having to get blood for two growing girls.

Angela and Germima had agreed with their mum that they would only
get a thirteenth and an eighteenth birthday.
One lazy day, well it was to sunny for a vampire to go outside, Rahl
queried Darla about her past, but as Darla pointed out that was nothing

compared to what would be happening soon. Rahl was a bit puzzled by
the reply, then two days later the truth began to hit her, half the
population of Dartmouth had been killed. That was only the start Darla
told her as she Angela and Germima were the propheisied Tro-Clon.

Giles and Wesley were sat in Giles's apartment, reading through the
ever growing pile of books, after Wesley had first said about Angel's
child being the Tro-Clon. All they had been able to find out, was what
the Tro-Clon might do. Giles decided to ring his old friend in London.

"Robson, it's Giles I'm trying to find out about the Tro-Clon what do
you know ?"
"Just listen a minute or so, I'm putting as many cloves of Garlic as I
can in the room, they, the Tro-Clon are here, they have started the

apocalpse. From what my sources tell me, the vampires have begun
to spread, the watchers council was stopped, most of the watchers
have been killed it's just you, me a Sam Zubuto I think, and a Wesley
Wyndham-Pryce, I don't know where he is though," said Robson.

"Wesley is with me, right now. He told me that the Tro-Clon is Darla's
baby," said Giles.
"That isn't right, I was told that the Tro-Clon is Darla and both her
daughters who are said to be growing at a year a week and it was

them that started the apocalpse. Unfortunately the authorities think
all the deaths are a plague."
"What do you mean ?, all the deaths ?" asked Giles.
"Tens of thousands have died, maybe more and believe it or not I

have another that I'm allied to now, it's the church, all the religions
see this threat as the work of the devil. I may have surprised them
when I told them it was," said Robson, "but you should get ready,
a vampire said that they have left for America, three days ago."

As it was, the source was a plant. With the benefits of modern travel
the vampires were now in most capital cities through out the world.
They were growing in numbers and killing as they wanted. The one
country that wasn't being attacked openly was America, as with all

other countries the armies were halted and then the police. Angela,
Germima and Darla agreed that there was enough people in America
to keep them happy and not thirsty until the others rose. That and
once the human race had been culled enough the evil one could rise

and take control. Giles looked at Wesley, he thought to himself for a
minute then looked at Wesley again.
"They may have got themselves organised, it's time we did," said Giles.
"I'll get every-one to Sunnydale, it isn't many though," said Wesley,

"Gunn may know of some people, but they might not believe him."
"That's easy, get them to ring the UK."
"I'll give Buffy the bad news, we were trying to find out about some
commando boys, we can forget about them."

The next day Giles rang Robson, a girl answered the phone. Giles said
who he was, the girl told him that she was in training to be a slayer,
she only escaped being killed because Mr Robson, her watcher had
hidden her, she said that every-one was dead. She had been to the

shops, but she saw there was no-one alive, she said she'd try and
get leave England, but it would have to be straight away.
"I'm not too sure if I'll be able to tomorrow," said Alison.
Giles picked up the receiver then rang Buffy.

"Buffy ? good ! I've got a problem can you get here, with Willow. If
it'll help, Wesley has just asked Angel to get here, and fast," said Giles.

Nineteen minutes later the door to Giles's place swung open.
"Hello Giles, tell my dear boy it'll be fun time for us soon."
Another ten minutes later Buffy and Willow came in.
"So what is it Giles, more good news ?" asked Buffy.

"Depends, I've got all sorts. There's the good news, the not so
good news, the bad news and the very bad news."
"What's the good news ?"
"You can forget about those Commando types."

"What ? now that I know who they are ! I go to all that trouble,
for what ? so you can say forget about them ? I put my body
on the line !" said Buffy.
"Hmm, oh err, what do you mean ?" asked Giles.

"She's dating one of them," said Willow.
"Which I wouldn't have done,( she glared at Willow) if you weren't
SO insistant that we find out as much as we can about them Giles."
"What is the not so good news ?" asked Willow.

"Darla is back, the bad news is, her daughters are with her and the
very bad news is they started the apocalypse."
"Just the usual then," said Buffy.
"Not this time, they are preparing the world first, from the sound of

it England was first," said Giles.
"What ! what do you mean England was first ?" asked Willow.
"I'd prefer to wait, to see if a certain person gets here."
It was eight thirty that evening, Wesley was sat with Fred and Gunn.

Angel was sat next to Cordy. Willow was in between Oz and Tara.
Riley with Buffy and Anya with Xanders. Giles introduced Alison.
"Giles wants me to tell you about England, during the day the people
head into France. At night they die, people are saying that the

annihalation of mankind has begun. Yet this country seems to be
untouched. When I left England the roads were empty. Mr Robson had
told me that all the watchers in England have been killed, I've given
Mr Giles a list of people he can ring," said Alison.

"What do they think is the problem over there ?" asked Riley.
"I've been told that an apocalypse has started, brought about by the
vampire Darla and her daughters, they are the Tro-Clon."
"Any-one here know this Darla ?" asked Riley.

"Angel and Darla used to be an item," said Cordy, "Darla's baby is
Angel's baby,"
"And now Darla is after Angel," said Giles.
"We'd better be prepared for when she gets here," said Angel.

"Too late, Darla was here earlier, with both her daughters."
"That's it, Riley get your soldier mates to protect Giles," said Buffy.
"They won't like that," said Riley.
"You've been told what to do, so do it," said Alison.

"I'm telling you, that isn't what their trained for."
"Look they've got a choice, they do what we say or they won't be
protected," said Alison.
"No ! we can help," stated Riley.

"This isn't a game Riley, see how long you survive without us," said
Buffy, "and if your going to come back, don't leave it to long."
Throughout the evening they talked about what they would do.
Xander, Anya and Willow walked back to their homes, Xander and

Anya took Willow to her door then they went to Xanders place,
when they were nearly home, three vampires stood in their way.
"I'd like you to give Angel a message," said Darla.
"Ok, we'll do that," said Anya.

"It'll have do be done in mime though," said Darla.
"Ok, but neither Anya or I are much good at mime."
"Don't worry Anya. Oh, you don't mind me caressing your body do
you ?, you'll be rubbing my shoulders soon," said Germima, smiling.

Germima smelled the perspiration starting to run down Anya's
chest, quickly she moved to Anya's neck, she enjoyed smelling her
again, "Oh God ! I love that smell," said Germima as she sank her
teeth into Anya's blood vein's, drinking her life until she was dead.

"Think he'll get the mime ?" asked Darla, grinning.
Xander looked into Darla's yellow eyes, he felt a pain in his neck
then the darkness began to replace his life.
As they walked away, Darla smiled and gave her daughters a moist

hand towel each, to wipe the blood away from their mouths.
Darla smiled to herself, so she, a vampire, was capable of being in
love with her daughters.

4th bit and 5th bit

Willow got up early, remembering the conversations of the previous
night, she wanted to make the most of the daylight hours. She
dressed, grabbed some food, then ran to her friends house,
stopping just before she got there when she saw their bodies.

Tears in her eyes she turned away, only to see Buffy standing there.
"Come on, we need to leave here," said Buffy.
Sitting with Giles were the others when Buffy and Willow walked in.
"We're nearly all here," said Cordy, "as you said Buffy, Giles needs

to be protected, we need to agree on who by."
"We are all here, Xander and Anya were killed last night."
"It's started then, any favours you can call in Giles ?" asked Angel.
"I think there might be one," said Willow, "the vampire me, if we get

her here nearly here then ask her, if she doesn't agree to our terms
we send her back."
To make the circle Cordy and Angel joined Willow and Giles. The figure
of the vampire Willow began to appear.

"We have some questions for you, vampires are taking over this world,
those here are trying to stop them, would you be willing to help us ?"
Willow looked around, then seeing Angel.
"You are like me, a vampire, yet you help these people ?. You people

here offered me friendship, I feel as though I can now repay that, where
is the one called Xander ?"
"He was killed by them," said Willow.
"As my best memories are of Xander, also, as I am dead in my

dimension. Could we be as friends Willow ?" asked Willow.
"If you'll help us, yes we'll be friends. I'll even dress like you, or you
could wear my pink sweater," said Willow.
"Then I agree to be with you, to help you, on condition that I never

wear that sweater," said Willow.
The vampire Willow was brought the rest of the way into the world.
"This gives a new meaning to that song, I Touch Myself," said Tara.
"WILLOW'S ! Your smiling ! Stop it !" exclaimed Buffy.

"Just a thought Willow, I could feel that you are a witch, have you
ever tried to make yourself appear as another ? how about making
you appear as a vampire like me ?" asked Willow.
"That's a good idea," said Tara.

That evening Willow dressed like her other in a tight fitting leather
outfit, she went with Buffy and Willow to see Riley, they found him
dressed as a commando talking with a few others. Riley looked at
them, then realised that there was two Willows.

"Who is she ?"
"We are both Willow."
"I came from another dimension to help."
"Well Riley ?" asked Buffy.

"They'll need some convincing," said Riley.
Willow became the vampire in her.
"I chose to come here, to be with you against my own kind, yet
these humans with their toys need convincing ?"

Forest leapt to his feet, "A hostile !" he pointed his blaster at her.
"No," said Willow, jumping in the way," put that down."
Willow glared at Forest. Willow knowing that as a vampire she had
vast reserves of power held Willows shoulders.

"I, SAID, PUT, IT, DOWN."
And she caused the Blaster to melt. Forest a bit surprised, then
looked down his nose at Buffy.
"And what have you got ?"

Buffy stepped forward, pivoted on her left foot, then smashed her
right foot on to Forests chest. He flew across the room, smashing
through the window, then rolling on the grass when he landed. He
walked back into the room still rubbing his chest.

"So, your the slayer ? hope this Giles has enough cups for the
eight of us."
Buffy smiled to both Willows.
"I'll need to tell our leaders where we'll be," said Riley.

DARLA AND HER DAUGHTERS

The 5th bit

"What is it Giles, what are you thinking of ?" asked Buffy.
"There is something wrong," he replied.
The Willow in need of more facial make up spoke.
"You only just figured it out ?"

"What are we doing wrong ?" asked Giles.
"Who is at the Hellmouth ?"
"Clever aren't I ?" asked Willow.
"Yes we are, aren't I," said Willow.

"This was a bad idea, first they look alike, now they
sound alike," said Buffy.
"And when I get the same make up as me," said Willow.
"Oh dear, she's becoming a bad influence on herself," said Giles.

Willow smiled at herself, "Any-one got a shiny nickel ?"
"What is it with those three ?" asked Buffy.
"The Ghostbusters, the backpacks are flamethrowers."
"This Hellmouth, what is it ?" asked Willow.

"It's a hole in the ground," said Buffy.
"A thought, if the army covers it with steel girders, then covers
that with lot of concrete ? that'll make it hard to get in or out
of won't it ?" asked Giles.

"Then we could start to put the world back how it's meant
to be," said Forest.
"If we're going to start somewhere, let this be it," said Buffy.
"As Darla is after Angel, could we be elsewhere ?" asked Riley.

Buffy, Cordy, Tara and Fred were deciding where to have coffee.
"Riley's idea about being somewhere else, we could go to England."
"But they reckon it's a vampire playground over there," said Buffy.
"True, but if we go there, it won't be for long," said Fred.

"How's that ?" asked Tara.
"One person with a backpack, a slayer or vampire to point them out
and a witch to say when they're coming, even with two witches, two
slayers and two vampires that's a few groups," said Fred.

"No, not yet, that Alison isn't a slayer yet," said Buffy.
"Hadn't thought of her, but she could be trained to know who the
vampire is," said Fred, "I was thinking of Faith, Angel says she'll be good."
"Normally I'd disagree with you, but times aren't normal," said Buffy.

"The more I think of it, the more it makes sense Fred," said Buffy.
"Sounds like England look out, here we come," said Cordy.
"Wait Angel is near here, wasn't Riley with him ?" asked Tara.
"How about we play a trick on them Buffy ?" asked Cordy.

"What ?"
"What say we look in that shop window ?"
"A wedding dress, hmm, could be good for a laugh. Come on then."
Angel and Riley were walking along the street, Angel was keeping to

the shadows, and Riley was trying not to stand on the cracks on the
pavement. They were about to cross the road when Angel held Riley's
shoulders.
"Not yet," said Angel.

Tara in a heavily disguised voice.
"It's a bloody vampire, kill it !"
Angel span around, saw Fred and pleaded.
"NO !...NO !...FRED !...it's me ! Angel !. Phew, for a second I thought

you were going to grill me. What a day !, we'd just seen those two looking
at a wedding dress," said Angel.
"Who ? what two ?" asked Fred.
"Those two."

Angel and Riley turned around, only to see Cordy and Buffy smiling at them.
"Hope you never work undercover," said Angel, "Buffy'll never forget this."
"I already do," replied Riley.
"Oh dear."

6TH BIT
( If that was an apple it'd be the second bite, there's nothing
better than the second bite at the apple. Unless of course you
found a worm in it, or half a worm with your teeth marks in it !)

Giles was very unimpressed with his visitors, they had all taken
to sitting in a circle with a pair of binoculars each.
"What are they doing Giles?" asked Willow.
"Playing a game."

"What game?"
"I spy," said Giles.
"What are they looking for?"
"The ruddy sun, pillocks," said Giles.

Willow could tell Giles wasn't in favour of what they were doing.
"There it is," exclaimed Fred.
"Beep, We have confirmation Houston, Beep, the sun is, Beep,
out today, Beep," said Angel.

"Bloody colonials," said Giles.
"Right it's time to go to work," said Faith.
"Who is in what group?" asked Buffy.

"Right then you lot," said Giles, "Willow, Buffy and Fred, are one
group. We'll have Cordy, Angel and Tara for another group and
Gunn, Willow, Faith and me for the last group. That should do
for tonight, remember if you do see a vampire, get it. I don't
want them being told about us just yet."

Three groups set out onto the streets. Wesley stayed behind
with Alison to continue with her training.

Giles's group took up residency near to their house, whilst they
didn't want to attract to much attention, there was also a
suggestion that a clear area near the house should be
maintained.

"So, what's on your list of things to do Willow?" asked Faith.
"I thought I'd travel a bit, go out and meet the locals, make
friends with them, play with their children then kill them all."

"Oh you've read the reasons why not to join the army huh."
"That's a point, are any of the soldier boys left?" asked Giles.

"There was in the film Independence Day, we just need to
find them. Considering what's happening now, it'd be a
good idea if you didn't show your vampire face Willow, even
in the house. We just never know who might be watching,"
said Gunn.

"Good point, we'd best let the others know," said Willow, "
that's a thought, how can we let the others know?"

"We can't send Willow 'cos they'll know a vampires nearby,
it'd be to risky to send the humans, wait up, there's two
vampires in that shop," said Faith.

"Faith? I was meaning to ask this, but how can you see in
the dark?" asked Willow.

"All the slayers have the spirit of the demon in them, I
don't know what type of demon it is but it lets me see in
the dark," said Faith.

"I did some research like that a few years back, at first we
noticed that our cats never got near the vampires, then
my sister said how her cat growled at a vampire when it
got near," said Gunn, "we never finished the research 'cos
my sister was killed the next day."

"Alright taking the next step, what do cats normally hate."
"It can't be that simple Giles," said Gunn.
"Why not? think about it, cats hate dogs, there is a type
of demon that is a dog, it can see in the dark, it has an
increased strength," said Giles.

"Yeah, well, it does all fit, so until we have another
probability lets go with the theory that the spirit of a
demon in the slayer is a Werewolf," said Gunn.

"Can kill those vamps now?" asked Faith.
"Funny, I was going to say the same thing," said Willow.
"Are there any other vampires near?" asked Gunn.
"Why do you ask?" asked Giles.

"If there is we could torch the whole place, then get
them as they make a break for it. But if there's none, well
I hope you've got good shoulders Giles."
"Why?"

"I'm liable to be faster than you at running, which means
that you'll be using the flame thrower."
Gunn went across the road, looked back at their postions
then went along the footpath stopping in front of the shop.
"Damn, vampires!" he shouted.

He ran from the shop in Giles's general direction, he turned
to see them then accidentally on purpose he tripped over.
The two vampires had almost ripped the door of it's hinges
"Fresh warm blood," said the first vampire.

Seeing Gunn on the ground they slowed to a walk then
stopped nearly eight foot from Gunn.
"Ooh, still pumping in the vein, oh lovely."
Gunn casually sat up and looked at the vampires.

"Aren't you going to sat hello to Mr Brightman first?"
"Who is this Mr Brightman?" asked the second vampire.
"This is Mr Brightman," said Giles.

He gave them nearly half a second to comprehend the
situation before he made sure their bodies were
engulfed in flames. He released the trigger.

"Just in case they were to try and come back."
Giles poured holy water on their dust.
"Don't think they are coming back now," said Faith.
"Faith, what's Willow doing?" asked Giles.
"Dunno, I'll tell you in a minute."

Faith walked into the shop, she looked around trying
to make as little noise as possible , she noted that
the usual things were in the shop, foods, sweets
DVD's for hire, mags. A snippit of noise caused her
to look across the shop, to the silhouette of Willow.

"Can you hear me Faith?" asked Willow.
"Sure, what is it?"

"There's something else here, it isn't a vampire
though," said Willow, "best get the other here, now
and fast. A witch would be handy right now. Have
a quick look at this place."

Faith looked about. She realised something was
amiss, there was no damage, nothing was out of
place, nothing looked even touched.

"What do you think Willow, what could they have
been waiting for?" asked Faith.
"That's a thought, I was thinking of what they
were protecting," said Willow.

Faith signalled for Giles and Gunn to go in there.
"I'll go and get the others now," said Faith.

DARLA AND HER DAUGHTERS

"Giles, tell me if anyone tries to come in the door, Gunn you
watch that side of the shop I'll watch this side," said Willow.
"What is it? what are we looking for?" asked Gunn.
She looked at Gunn, then slowly faced another area. As if

listening, she tilted her head.
"Something."
"I trust this Willow, but what she said, how she moved, that
is how she was before, there's something wrong," said Giles.

"By the door," said Gunn.
"Willow."
Willow went to the door, saw it was Willow and let her and the
rest of her group. As the door was being closed Faith arrived

with the other group.
"You with the flame throwers make sure no-ome comes in
through the door. The rest of you, study this room, tell me."
"I can smell that humans have been here, but there's no blood.

It feels as though many vampires have been in here," said Angel.
"Yeah, but they didn't wreck the place," said Willow.
"Slayers what do you think? witches?" asked Angel.
Buffy and Faith stayed with the vampires while the witches and

the humans went across the road to guard the front of the shop.
Two vampires walked along the road.
"Two more vampires heading your way Willow," said Willow.
"Let these ones come in, we need a lead."

They opened a fridge door and walked in, then silence. Even after
ten minutes there was no noise.
Will can you hear me, thought Buffy
What is it?.

We are going to follow them, if you see a vampire, kill it.
It'll be done Buffy, said Will.
"Tara, there's a shadow behind us a bit," said Fred.
"I know, he's been watching us for a while now, he is a human,

but he is interested in us."
Thet sat there and waited, they kept waiting.
"Don't move, just don't move."
Tara felt the business end of a rifle on her neck.

"We are humans as well," said Fred.
"Am I glad to hear that."
"Who are you?" asked Giles.
"Corporal Steven Johnson, I was watching you earlier, you set

them on fire, is that how they are killed?"
"There are other ways, but this way is safer for us."
"Where are the other two that were here?
Will, Faith and I want to come out now, is it clear?

Buffy and Faith ran out of the shop and up to them.
"Who is he?" asked Buffy.
"An army boy, he's by himself now," said Gunn.
"I'm not alone, there are several of us, out of town a bit. I'm

here to see about getting some food, that's what I was doing
when I saw you, thought I'd say hello."
"How many of you are there?" asked Faith.
"That accent, your Americans."

"So."
"One of our guys, he's dead now. He said a girl he knew was
going there recently, to try and find a person in LA."
"That's where we are from, the chances are we don't know

that person, but we could help," said Faith.
"Thanks, that girl, I think she was sent to find a watcher Giles,
whatever that is."
"He is, or rather I am. My name is Giles I'm a watcher. That girl

do you have her photo, and is her name Alison?"
"Oh come on, bit of a needle in a haystack isn't it?" asked Fred.
"I agree, but how many people are still here? If it is a yellow
needle in a haystack of black needles."

"What's your belief in the supernatural like Steven?" asked Giles.
"Last month I didn't believe in any of it, now I do. That guy said
that Alison was to find a vampire slayer, that's well."
"Er Steven, Buffy and Faith are vampire slayers," said Fred.

"Did you meet this Alison?" asked Steven.
"She's in a house not far from here," said Giles.
"I'll wait here. Will, Fred you alright to stay with me," said Buffy.
Once they had gone, Fred asked what was in the shop.

"Think there was a hellmouth in there, when we heard some
talking Faith and I left, but that wasn't any hellmouth, I
recognised two languages being spoken, French and German."
"I heard five others?" said Faith.

"What! you! five languages, must say I'm impressed Faith," said Will.
"Yeah but they were all double-dutch."
"What did you mean, it isn't a normal hellmouth?" asked Will.
"In the time we were gone we went to Australia, China and Italy.

But we did hear that the one in America is closed," said Faith.
"Here come Angel and Willow, anything else?" asked Buffy.
"Yep, the Tro-clon is coming here, tomorrow night. But we've
got a more pressing job to do, there's six more coming this way."

"That's ok Angel, we let them come here, we let them go in the shop
Faith and Buffy throw rocks at the windows, then Fred lets them
have it with the flame thrower."
And that's what happened, only Fred got carried away. She set the

shop on fire as well. As they walked away Fred looked back at her
handy work.

DARLA AND HER DAUGHTERS

8th bit

In the morning the vampire Willow said she and Angel would
stay with Alison. Steven and his new friends headed for the
village of Galmpton in south Devon, in the supermarket truck
he 'borrowed'. The supermarket, like the rest of the town
was now devoid of people.

Through the brightness of the day they travelled to their
new safety zone. As the darkness covered the land, a lone
Boeing 787 flew high above them. Trees, hedgerows, crops,
they knew nothing of what was to happen, birds in flight and
those in the trees suddenly became cold as they were

drenched in jet fuel, just as quickly as the evaporation of the
fuel began, it ended.
Even as the plane landed at Heathrow airport all was quiet
on the plane. Without any problems the plane taxied to the
terminal. The flight crew having done their job began to stop

the engines. The sound of air rushing in heralded the opening
of the doors, Germima, Angela and Darla walked off the
plane, in mid step Darla beckoned them to stop.
"Excuse me my dears, haven't you forgotten something?"
"Oh, the pilots!, sorry mum," said Angela.

Darla waited by the doors of the plane for her daughters to
return. She saw a notice on the door.
"Well, I had a nice flight," she said, licking her lips.
All was still quiet on the plane, not one dead body moved.
As her daughters approached, she smiled sweetly at them.

"There, doesn't that feel better?"
The halls of the airport were full of people, but like the plane
they were all dead.
"Come on girls, we're going to Bath, there's some-one I'd like
you both to meet."

A friendly pilot took them to Bath, he was so insistent they
got everything they wanted. One of her daughters began to
rub the driver up.
"Not him dear, he is one of us," said Darla.
"Yes mum, I know," said Angela, "just getting in practise."

Darla looked out of the window.
"You'll go pop if you drink too much."
Angel and Willow found themselves having to teach Alison
about a favourite subject of theirs, fire.
"Fire is light, yet it can be occult and unknown. Be it active,

or powerful yet invisible. It may on a whim reduce things into
a sudden obedience. Fire is mischievious, it is boundless, a
part of all things it destroys or makes," said Willow.
"Fire in the heavens brings forth light yet the same fire in
hell can bring forth pain and torment, while in the middle it

can produce all. It can give both animals and vegetables life
and it can be your friend and your enemy. The properties of
the infernal fire will make a parched earth, it can make all
as barren whilst driving away the spirits in the darkness.
As you may want it to help you beware, as it has its own

secrets on what it will do. Trust only in what it has done,
not what it will do," said Angel.
The sun had risen behind the buildings, five men from a
building had flowed onto the path, breathing in the life they
had protected during the night, as they went to the shop

they mentioned their feelings to three women. Germima and
Angela sought to protect their mother from such
unrewarding comments, revealing their vampiristic talents
upon the men, great pain was given them, the smaller of
them was held by Darla. He was forced to watch his friends

die in torment, yet he only thought of them being there
after the sun had risen, turning him to face her. Darla
greeted him with a smile that was so warming he forgot
what she was until her teeth entered his neck. Wiping the
blood from her mouth she showed her daughters into a

shop, feeling the pull of the hellmouth she felt another.
She felt that Angel had been there, and recently. Darkness
tried to fill the room the blackened walls, part of the ceiling
had gone, but not enough to let in any light.
"Ok Alison, apart from us can you feel any vampires?"

"I can feel three others, they are moving this way. They
are near, moving nearer."
"Angel we'd better see to them," said Willow.
"No wait, they are here."
Angel looked up to see Darla's face, then he heard screams

as Alison and Willow were thrust into lockers. Angel looked
up again but Darla wasn't there. He felt her in three places,
opening a door he saw that smile.
"We meet again, my dear boy."
"So this is our father? I think you should leave mummy."

"Recognise the voice Angel, it's your daughter, Angela!"
He only closed his eyes for an instant, but it was long
enough. The girls dug their fangs into Anels throat, he
screamed then shaking his torso threw them off, Angela
bounced against a wall as Germima squared off against him,

once again Angel screamed as Angela cut deep into Angel's
calves with a knife. Turning to face her he kicked a chair
into Germima's knees making her fall onto a display case
the glass slicing deep into her arms.
"That won't stop me," she said running at him.

Angel thrust his elbow onto her throat knocking her off
balance, lashing out with his foot he pushed her onto the
display case, before she could move Angel ripped a piece
of wood off it, slamming the blunt end through her heart.
Angela panicked as she saw her sister fall to dust, she

ran to be at her mothers side.
Angel stood, he caste a look around the room, he knew
which locker Alison was in, opening it he gently eased her
out of it.
"Thanks, we'd best get Willow out of hers before she rips

it or her to bits."
They heard the locker being torn apart.
"Take it easy Willow!, we'll get you out," said Alison.
The locker door was opened.
"Why wouldn't the locker door open?" asked Willow.

"They put a lock on it," said Angel.
"What happened with them Angel?" asked Willow.
"Lets just say, next time we meet them there will be
one sister less."

"There is another problem here," said Alison.
"What's that?"
"The vampires, them, not you guys, they know where we are,
if they do come back, the chances we won't be here for long.
So when the others get back they'd be walking into a trap."

"I see your point Willow, so we leave, but that'd give us another
problem, how would we tell the others where we are?" asked Angel.
"We can't go to them, we don't know where they are, can you
contact them Alison?" asked Willow.
"No, I'm only a potential, I don't have the ability yet."

"It comes to me then."
"How's that Willow?" asked Alison.
"Will and I are the same person, so in theory it's easier for me to
contact myself than it is for you to contact some-one else."
"It sounds right, even so Angel and I will help you. First up empty

your mind of everything but Will," said Alison.
"See yourself walking along a path in a field by a stone wall, you'll
need to concentrate hard on everything, flowers, weeds, but
especially the stones in the stone wall, when nothing else is there
but the path try to see Will, think of her then concentrate all of

you, at her," said Angel.
"There is no time limit here, take your time. To get ready, you'll
need to make yourself comfortable, 'cos you might be doing this
for several hours," said Alison.

For the next three hours Willow's body didn't even flinch, luckily
the act of breathing wasn't a distraction for her.
Alison drew Angel's attention as she saw Willow's shoulder move.
"Are you with us Willow?"
"I'm back, I saw her, but I couldn't talk to her, it looked like she

was getting ready for bed."
"Oh well, it was worth Willow? what is it?" asked Alison.
"Your not going to believe me, I can hear Will's voice."
Angel and Alison exchanged glances.
"So how are you talking to her now?"

"I'm not Alison, I think that it's Will that's talking to me, it is
because of her that I'm able to talk or reply to her."
"So what is she saying?" asked Angel.
"Well she wanted to know about us, so I told her and that we
need to leave here. She's saying it isn't safe for them there,

Steven is okay but the others say, once evil always evil."
"So we leave here and they leave there, we need to arrange
a place and time to meet. Willow is suggesting Stonehenge."
"That sounds ok, there's an outcrop of trees to the northern
edge of the circle, we could meet at midday," said Angel.

So they all met at the place, they talked for a while about
where to go. Steven suggested an RAF base in Hampshire
known as Oakhangar, it was meant to be a satelite
communications base. Buffy said it would be good, they'd be
able to get some help from the Initiative.

Two days later they had settled to the living conditions.
The two Willows were having a wander around, they found
Angel in the communications room.
"What'cha going Angel?"
"Not sure, well at the moment I'm looking at these two

hundred switches, wondering which one to flick first."
"I'd go with the one that says transmit, if it works then try
to call who you want, who do you want to call?"
"I was going to try and contact Riley, try and get him here."
"Good idea, but your to late, Buffy called him on her phone,

he'll be here tonight," said Willow.
"Does he know where we are? and that gives us another
problem," said Angel.
"And that is?"
"How do we turn the landing lights on? I wonder if it's been

done before," said Willow.
"What's that?" asked Willow.
"Asking the pilot of a plane if he knows how to turn the runway
lights on."
"And that'd be after we find out how to use the radio," said Angel.

"What's it say under that switch, Angel?" asked Willow.
"Use the other button," replied Willow.
"What is under the other button?"
"You alright in here?" asked Faith.
"No, I'm not. These two are driving me crazy, they look the same,

they sound the same, now they wear the same clothes, it's just
as well our Will has got a nicer butt," said Angel.
"Why thank you kind sir," said Will, then under her breath, "ruddy
sexist pig."
"Want me to show you how that thing works Angel," said Faith.

"You now how it works!" exclaimed Angel.
"How many planes do you need to contact?"
"Just the one, at some time tonight."
"Just one? simple press that button then turn it on," said Faith.
"Thought it was turned on."

"Right, flick that switch, then that switch, it'll lock on
automatically to the plane, then press transmit."
"SEE, I told you that was the transmit button," said Willow.
"There you go Faith, you've got to look at them to know which
of them is talking," said Angel.

"Actually Will, Buffy wants to see you in the canteen," said Faith.
Angel and Faith watch the two Willow's leave.
"Does Buffy really want to see them?"
"Of course she does!, when Riley gets here tomorrow," said Faith
smiling, "but Fred and Cordy want us in the armaments storage."

As they were going to the storage facility Gunn joined them.
"Where are we going?"
"To see Cordy and Fred in the armaments room," replied Angel.
"You know what they say about girls and big guns don't you?"
asked Gunn.

"Are you inferring something?" asked Faith, glaring at Gunn.
"So, er...Angel, do you want me to go and sweep the runway?"
asked Gunn, wiping the sweat of his forehead.

DARLA AND HER DAUGHTERS

10th bit

Just after sunrise the following day, a plane landed. A meal
had been prepared for their arrival, Giles had insisted that he
be allowed to prepare the meal himself. He had spent hours
in the kitchen alone, so there was more than one surprised
expression evident when the display shutters were opened

revealing the appetiser, several boxes of Corn Flakes with
cartons of milk with many bowls of sugar. The main meal
was eggs, bacon, sausages and baked beans with toast. To
end the celebratory meal Giles presented each person with a
cup cake, on it's top was a dollop of red icing. Several

comments were said about the main meal, but as Giles said
"What did you expect for breakfast?, Lobster?"
At ten in the morning Riley, Forrest, Graham, Miller and Gates
met with Giles, Faith, Willow, Buffy, Steven, Angel and Tara.
After the introductions they all set about making plans for

their survival and that of the human race. Riley mentioned
the special aircraft mountable camera's, that could show a
person's body temperature. That Miller and Gates were
both trained pilots for single and twin engine planes. Also
that Gates was a helicopter pilot. It was decided that RAF

bases were to be targetted first mainly for the supplies.
Forrest suggested that as other humans were found it may
be necessary to have Angel and Willow be known as special
forces. Giles agreed saying that the slayers, witches should
be with them.

That night two planes took off from the air base, they both
took several passes over the local towns and farms. At one
place four humans were seen hiding in a farm building at
another place seventeen humans were found in a school with
thirty vampires surrounding the buildings. It was decided to

go in quickly. Tara and Will brought a strong wind into some
trees that disguised the sounds the rest of them made. Four
of the vampires were spied near the power supply to the
school. Angel and Willow were able to get close enough to
them to surprise them and dust them. Buffy and Faith

signalled for the others to go with them, a dozen vampires
had been seen getting close to the school. Riley and those
with him used their Blasters to fill the vampires bodies with
electricity, Buffy and Faith enjoyed themselves plunging
their stakes into them causing them to be dust.

"How many did you get Buffy?" asked Graham.
"Six of them, how about you Faith?"
"I got the other six."
"With that other's that's sixteen of them," remarked Forrest.
Slowly and carefully the other vampires got the same treatment.

"Look Buffy, there was seventeen humans here, when we get
the other ones that'll be twenty one of them, it might be a good
idea to start that special forces right away," said Riley.
"There's an army base near here, we could use that and how
more supplies."

In between training people, and the many attacks the South
of England was becoming a safe place for the humans again.
Regular help was being provided by America, in France a few
places were starting to grow. News of their revival was spreading
small groups of people began to get together. At last the human-

kind showed that it could live together. At first the vampires
struck back causing devastation but as the humans kept banding
together the vampires were forced to move aside. As reports of
the annihilation spread into the USA greater numbers of them
came to help. Soon the vampires were sent further afield. It

wasn't to long before the vampires had to move into Australia.
Their access points in to other countries were blocked off. The
island of Tasmania became an big airbase, in the months that
followed the east north and south became free of vampires.
Carefully and with precision they were herded toward the south

west of Australia. The air base at Bullsbrook on Perths northern
boundary was designated as one of the bases for the final push.
The special forces were once again on the front line. An area a
mile wide was burnt it continued for a hundred miles in land then
south to the coast. The burnt land was laced with holy water and

holy crosses. Unknown to the vampires they had caused the
survival of the human race, all the time they had been killing the
humans they had also reduced the want of power and oil.
New ways of survival were used. Once this planet supported six
billion people, now three hundred million were now on the planet.

Now there was no need to cut down forests, food could be grown
so that it wasn't an issue, starvation was a thing of the past.
Those few that had begun the fight to save mankind, they were
the ones who would now lead the final push. Hundreds of fire
fighting vehicles, once filled with any type of water were now

using holy water. The vampires kept being moved on from the
south, sending them towards Perth, their numbers being severly
reduced. As they headed towards Perth they were pushed up and
to the the hills. The smaller the area they needed the closer the
fire trucks could be and the more of them that were eradicated.

Darla and her daughter knew they're cause was near its end, they
had been moved from their safe areas, all that was left was a
national park that had little protection from the sun. Daily the
humans encrouched on where they were, more vampires were
driven into sunny areas, then they were trapped. Luckily the sun

was going down as Angel Willow and Buffy went closer to them.
Screams of pain quickly filled the air as gallons of holy water
began to drench the vampires. Darla was almost in tears as she
remembered her thoughts as she her forces spread over the land
"Tonight's the night," said Angela.

"Looks that way," replied Darla.
"Can't say we didn't try, Iwonder if this will be recor.........
Darla never heard what Angela was going to say, she felt the dust
as it flew passed her. Darla looked up to see Angel and Willow.
"Any last words Darla," said Angel. just before they were all soaked

in holy water, falling into the last gasps of the setting sun Darla's
body erupted in flames.
"I'd heard about the Shan Shu prophecy, never knew who would
benefit from it though. Must admit I am a bit surprised, I never
thought it would be for you Angel, and Willow," said Buffy.
