Angel Celebrates 100 Episodes on The WB!

"Angel," The WB's critically acclaimed drama about a vampire cursed with a conscience and a soul, will celebrate its centennial episode on Wednesday, February 4 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) with the installment titled "You're Welcome." Series star David Boreanaz
will be reunited with former series regular Charisma Carpenter, returning for the first time this season in a special guest-starring role as Cordelia Chase, who fell into a coma at the end of last season.

In the 100th episode, Cordelia (Carpenter) mysteriously awakens from her coma and is shocked to discover that instead of fighting against the evil law firm, Wolfram & Hart, Angel (Boreanaz) and the group are now running it. Realizing that Angel has lost his conviction to be a hero, Cordelia gives him the information and support he needs to get back on track. Meanwhile, while Angel has security keeping an eye on Eve (Sarah Thompson), her partner Lindsay (guest star Christian Kane) prepares to bring about Angel's demise.

"Angel" is currently The WB's second highest-rated series with adults 18-34. The series was created by Academy and Emmy Award-nominated writer Joss Whedon, along with David Greenwalt. Whedon serves as executive producer, along with Sandy Gallin, Gail Berman, Fran Rubel Kuzui, Kaz Kuzui, Jeffrey Bell and David Fury. The series stars David Boreanaz, Alexis Denisof, J. August Richards, Amy Acker, James Marsters and Andy Hallett. "You're Welcome" was written and directed by David Fury. "Angel" is a Mutant Enemy, Inc. and Kuzui/Sandollar production in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television. The series is currently in its fifth season."

The 18-34 thing is supposed to be important so the fact Angel is the second higest rated show in that area is good for a season six.

for the WB i would guess Smallville, which is why it is the perfect lead-in for Angel.....as good as Angel is with-out a high rated show before it i don't think it would be doing half as good....

Thats a shame because I got a feeling Angel will lose its post-Smallville timeslot if it comes back for season six (they have that Flash TV show starting). I think Charmed would be a better lead in. They are both set in a world filled with demons and magic.

they tried that....and the ratings were doing really really bad....hence the reason it got moved....the best place for any struggling show is right after a high rated show....hence the reason Angel is doing much better this season....
 
I think the viewers got bored seeing so much supernatural stuff on shows. Charmed was pretty good that season and so was Angel when it first moved from Mondays to Sundays, but no one was watching... 🙁
 
charmed is good, but yeah, people might get sick of seeing the magicy supernatural shows all in one night

Yes! Charmed really really sucks. That's why Angel should be nowhere near it.
Havent any of you heard tha season 6 is a definate? They were given 5 and 6 at pretty much the same time based on the condition Buffy characters appear regularly. Which I guess means Spike for a start.

thanks for the info, and no I dont think it airs in the UK yet seeing as though it only has been running for a month in the US

David, his wife Jaime, Joss Whedon and the Cast of Angel all attended a 100th Episode Celebration at Ivar, Hollywood on 31 January.
