In a recent episode of ABC's Lost, Buffy/Angel/Lost writer David Fury creates an interesting dillema.
In the episode one of the characters won the lottery. There was a quirk though. The numbers he won with were cursed.
He still gets the money, and actually the money makes more money, but bad things happen to anyone, or anything connected to the fortune.
A fire in a shoe factory he owns is actually a good thing for him financially. The factory was over-insured. That's the thing you see; although he keeps reaping financial benefits, bad stuffy befalls anyone in any way connected to the money. He buys his mother a mansion. When he takes her to see it, she breaks her ankle, and the house is on fire. The police arrive and arrest him thinking he's involved. He sues for false arrest, and makes more money. By the time of the episode the character is worth 150 million dollars.
So here's the quesion. If you could win the lottery by playing those cursed numbers, would you play them?
