Maybe the budget for S4 was the same for this season, but because the huge Wolfram & Hart set was built, it took a lot out of the budget. Just a theory.

Well if David Fury said this year that they cut the budget to about Buffy S1 then it wasnt the same as last years budget.

I think he meant that they cut the budget for spending on other sets because the had to build the W&H set. I heard something about them having only two soundstages for ANGEL last season and now they have four (much larger) soundstages.
