like I said, anarchy in the end is just wishful thinking, it's not like it's going to happen... and if we are to live in a world with rules, those rules at least should make some sense....

and about Jimmy Hendrix, once again I don't have the link here, but I know of cases where Xperson was addicted to Xdrug for Xperiodoftime and they did things most other people would never do, there's this doctor, but I forgot the name.... Hemingway, Van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, they all had chronic absinthism, and yet I know their names... I'm pretty sure alot of people in their time thought they would get killed by drinking so much absinth, those people remain in oblivion now

but i don't agree that capitsm is the only way! there are other was of having a "good" world...

Lorne: i know this is not really pointed at all of the things you say above this, but we know the names of the people mentioned cos they had a talent for something, writing, painting... you can still do somethings even if your affected.... but there are things you can't do, the people you said, they would prob have been know even if they wheren't hooked on things

I must find Oscar Wilde's quote, yes, he had talent... but his inspiration was found in absinth... he explains it in a text, but yeah, I agree, they would have been known... I don't know maybe I'm too much into Kierkergaards Idea of freedom
 
lorne...the author of One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest...Ken Kesey...wrote when he was high off of LSD and peyote...the funny thing is that none of the shiz that he wrote when he was high ever made it into the book...cause it was shi t... he said it never made sense....too fragmented....

yeah, my absinth example is sort of forced because absinth pretty much lets you write/paint/whatever, other drugs don't...

yeah, it's made of distilled wine (the good quality one, the one that doesnt kill you) and contains wormwood... it has alot of fame because alot of known writers from the 19th century used to drink it alot, but in severe quantities it causes what is called chronic absinithism... which is bad, obviously

if you have ever seen van gogh's paintings, those that look like portraits of people, and they are sitting in a table or something, well alot of them have the people with a crystal glass filled with green water, that green water is absinth
