You're so welcome
Buffy and Angel sat face to face around a table in the Hyperion lobby. Buffy had flown into Los Angeles only a few hours before. She was still in search of Dawn, and thought that she Dawn may be in Los Angeles, without Angel knowing. She sipped her cup of coffee and groaned.
"I'm gonna kill her." she said, looking at Angel. Buffy was over tired and jet lagged, Angel could see it.
"Buffy come on, she's not just a kid, she's a very powerful one, I'm sure she's ok." Angel said back, trying to comfort Buffy, but instead he'd pushed the wrong buttons.
"I was a powerful kid too Angel! Dawn has always gotten this special treatment just because she's the baby. When I left Sunnydale for that summer I at least had a good reason, but still everybody punished me! Dawn needs to stop this and she needs to grow up!" yelled Buffy, getting annoyed. She stood up and began pacing back and forth.
"Where is she?!" she yelled to herself, trying to think.
"Buffy," began Angel, "I'm sure Dawn left for a good reason too, but she's strong, even stronger then you are Buffy. She'll be okay." He stood up and walked over to her, giving her a hug.
"Angel do you really think she's ok?" asked Buffy.
"I know she is, you Summers girls are tough, she'll be fine." said Angel.
"It's just you don't know what it's like, I have to be like Dawn's mom now. You have no idea how worried I am. I know she's strong, but to me she's still just my kid sister." Buffy said, getting frantic again.
"I do." said Angel.
"You do what?" asked Buffy, "are you even listening?"
Angel chuckled a little. "I know what it's like to be a parent, to love somebody so much that you'd put them first no matter what and that no matter where they are, you want to be there by their side." While he said this, he looked at Connor, who seemed to be chatting up one of the slayers. He laughed a little, "Kids."
"We were kids once," said Buffy, "but it seems like a lifetime ago."
"Or two." added Angel.
Buffy just smiled at him. Angel caressed her again and she moved her lips closer to his. She had done this so many times before. Angel was and would always be her first love. It had taken her a while to realise but she now knew she couldn't be happy with anyone else but him. They kissed passionately, forgetting their location. When the pair opened their eyes and separated, a few slayers were staring from outside. Buffy looked out to see them staring and then looked back to Angel, she chuckled a little and her face went red. Angel just wiped his moth and looked embarrassed.
Suddenly, Willow ran in from the entrance, breaking the embarrassing silence.
"Buffy, I've found her! I know where Dawn is!" she yelled.

Angel's vision
karma boy! that was good!
OK, gotta say, this is possibly the best piece you have written.
You have managed to capture Buffy and Angel, developed a post NFA/OF relationship that has the hallmarks of what we loved in early Season 2 and 3 Buffy, but giving it an even more mature take.

Reallt my friend, kudos to you and here, so Rep too🙂

wow thanks so much! You have no idea how much this means, especially coming from u Al, U write the best fic ever!
I second DDLM's points.
But I never really understood the whole Bangel/Cangel debate. I always thought whatever makes the story work go with it. Although if you want to test your writing skills and jump in with both feet I would be interested in how you would write a Cordy, Angel, Buffy scene. I always liked how Cordy made Angel nervous and defensive and how Angel was a big puffda boy around Buffy.
Are you up to the challenge?

LOL no pressure or nothing you're not putting me on the spot or anything are you?! Lol really I have something planned but u will have 2 wait n see.
"Dawny," began Joyce, "pumpkin belly why don't you leave this sort of thing to your sister? She's the Slayer."
Joyce sat Down next to Dawn, and Dawn rested her head on her mother's lap, who began running her fingers through her daughter's hair.
"Mom, I have to do this now, it's my job. You don't understand I have these visions and Buffy can't fight this evil!" Dawn was getting flustered, she sat up.
"Dawn," said Joyce, rubbing her cheek, "you need to calm down. You're doing the right thing, I know that, but one of my daughters in mortal danger is enough. Now it's my baby in trouble too, I just don't want to see you get hurt."
Dawn hugged her mother, "Mom, I'm ok. I'm all powerful now, you know that don't you? I'm not in any danger."
Joyce smiled, "I don't know about that," she said, "but I know you're powerful. Just be careful though, too much power can corrupt."
Dawn smiled at her mother. "I'll be fine, relax."
Joyce hugged her daughter again, and rested her head on Dawn's shoulder, "That's my baby."

*******

Dawn woke up to see Cordelia lying next to her. She rolled her eyes.
"Cordy, why didn't you go home?" she asked, "I don't mind you being here but you could've just teleported to your bed right?"
Cordelia rolled over to face Dawn. "Yeah," she said, yawning, "But I guess I dozed off. I was lying here, reading and I must have fallen asleep." Cordelia looked at the opened book on the floor. "Dawn you woke me up from a really good dream!" she moaned, jokingly.
Dawn just smiled, thinking of the dream she'd just had about her mother.
"I'm gonna take a shower," she said, and walked into the bathroom.
Cordelia sat up and looked back through the notes she'd written last night. There was one sentence that Cordelia had highlighted, but not yet showed Dawn: "˜The Foreseen One shall fall to the hands of the darkest evil.' She was going to tell Dawn eventually, but for now she hadn't. She didn't want to start a panic before she needed to.
Cordelia knew Dawn was strong, but she also knew that she wouldn't have much chance against "˜The Darkest Evil' (whatever it was), at least not by herself. Even though Dawn had been a major player in stopping the Senior Partners, she couldn't have done it alone. Cordy had found two possibilities by researching the dagger Dawn had brought home, either Anna was this "˜big evil' or she worshipped it. Either way "“ she was possessed.
After another fifteen minutes, Dawn came back into the room.
"Did we find what stops it?" she asked, as she walked passed Cordy.
"Not yet," began Cordy, "but don't worry, for now, you can fight it. From what I heard you put this bitch on its ass anyway."
"Yeah," sighed Dawn, "but it was draining me, the demon was strong. Also Cordy, my powers don't always work."
Dawn picked up the paper Cordelia had been looking at, and began browsing it.
"No!" yelled Cordy, trying to snatch it.
Dawn laughed and held it behind her, "I just want to see where we are with this thing."
Cordelia snatched at it again, but failed to get it. "Dawn please give me that paper."
"God" began Dawn "what is wrong with you?" she asked.
As she handed the paper back over she noticed the sentence Cordy had been trying to keep from her, and she quickly snatched the paper back. Reading the sentence over and over, she dropped the paper.
"What is this?" she asked angrily.
Cordelia picked up the paper and looked at Dawn, who was still waiting for an answer.
"Answer me!" she yelled, getting angrier.
"I'm sorry Dawny," said Cordy, handing the paper back to Dawn, "I was going to show you, but not yet."
Dawn ripped the paper up. "When?!" she yelled. "How long have you even known?"
"I found out last night, I was going to tell you" said Cordelia, "I'm sorry."
Dawn rolled her eyes. "I can't believe this," she began, "you were going to hide it from me."
"I"¦ I wasn't"¦" lied Cordelia.
"Don't lie," ordered Dawn, "Just get out. Get Out! Get Out! Get Out!"
"Dawn stop!" yelled Cordelia, standing her ound. She wasn't the type to take crap from anyone, and she was letting Dawn walk all over her.
"Grow up! You think everything is over because you're mentioned in a prophecy?! I've been in prophecies. Ask Buffy how many prophecies she's been in!"
Suddenly, a voice came from the door. "Yeah Dawn, ask me."
Dawn looked over to see Buffy standing with Willow and Angel. Boy was she in for some trouble.

Cordy couldn't take her eyes off of Angel. He looked at her with the saddest of eyes. She'd lied right to him, and she didn't know what to say now. She had to stick up for Dawn though, who was getting yelled at by Buffy.
"Buffy no!" yelled Dawn, defending herself. "I am on a mission here!"
Buffy put her hands on her hips and rolled her eyes. "So you just leave the country without even telling me? You don't know how much trouble you are in now you moron!"
Dawn stamped her feet. "Buffy you made me do this!" she yelled, "The way you spoke to me that night is what drove me to leaving and following my vision!"
Buffy started gathering Dawn's things in a bag. "You are actually blaming this on me!" she yelled. "Well I can't believe this. You can't even stand responsible for your own stupid decisions Dawn."
Buffy hadn't even noticed Cordelia sitting down in the corner yet. Dawn looked to Willow for some back up, but it was obvious that Willow was with Buffy on this one when she just looked to the floor.
"Buffy!" began Dawn, "stop packing my things I'm not going anywhere!" Dawn pushed Buffy away.
Buffy looked up at her sister, boy was she mad. "I dare you to touch me again Dawn."
Dawn got right in her sisters face, "Buffy, just because you're the Slayer don't think I'm scared of you, because I'm not."
Buffy laughed sarcastically, "Right, because you could crush me in the blink of an eye?" She again began to laugh.
In an attempt to stop what was about to happen, Cordelia jumped in between the middle of the sisters, with Dawn behind her.
"Buffy," she began, "stop this."
Buffy glared at her. "Get out of my way Cordelia."
Buffy tried to push passed Cordelia, who stopped her and again stood in her way.
"I'm not moving," she began, "Dawn has a job to do Buffy, and she can't go anywhere."
Buffy stopped edging forward. "Well I don't believe this," she began, "you actually think you can stop me, she's my sister, and I don't care about her job!"
"Buffy," said Dawn from behind Cordelia, "the mission is what matters and if you don't want to be a part of that, go home."
Dawn and Cordelia stood side by side.
"Nuh uh," began Buffy, shaking her head. She grabbed Dawn's wrist and began to pull her towards the door.
"Let go of me!" yelled Dawn, struggling to escape.
Buffy totally ignored her. "Willow we are going, Angel come on." she said, looking at them standing in the door way.
Willow had a confused look on her face, and Angel was still looking at Cordelia.
Dawn pulled her arm free from Buffy, which was a surprise in itself.
Cordelia again got in between the middle of the sisters. "Buffy, I think you should just go."
"Cordelia, Dawn is my sister and she is coming home with me now, unless you want to get hurt get the hell out of my way!" yelled Buffy.
Cordelia smiled sarcastically. "Come on. Hurt me then, because I'm not going anywhere until you do."
Quickly, Angel got in front of Cordelia. "Buffy, this is not going to happen, lets go."
Buffy couldn't believe her eyes. "You are actually siding up with her? I don't believe this Angel, now get out of my god damn way!"
"Buffy"¦ stop." he said back bluntly.
"So everyone's against me then?" she asked, looking around at everybody. "Screw this I'm leaving," she said as she walked out the door, slamming it behind her.
Willow quickly followed her, "Buffy stop!" she yelled, chasing her down the corridor.
Cordelia looked up at Angel smiling, her smile quickly faded though, he wasn't happy at all.
"We need to talk," he said.

*******

Angel sat on a crate, and Cordy stood, leaning against the wall. They had gone into the alley behind the motel to talk. The sunlight wasn't a problem, because it didn't really get in between the buildings.
"Thanks for what you did in there." said Cordelia, running her fingers through Angel's hair.
"No," Angel said, moving her hand away and shaking his head. "Why didn't you tell me about Dawn? I specifically asked you and you lied right to my face. I thought I could trust you."
"I'm sorry," she began, "but I couldn't tell you Angel. You would have told Buffy."
Angel rubbed his head. "No I wouldn't have."
Cordelia put her hand under his chin and lifted his head, she was smiling. "Angel, you know you would have told her, she's Buffy and now she's your girlfriend. Angel if you had told her this would have happened earlier; at least now Dawn's heart is in it enough to stay."
"She's not my girlfriend." stated Angel, disregarding the rest of what Cordelia had said, "She's just Buffy."
"You love her." said Cordelia softly.
Angel looked at the woman he had loved so much, for so long. He still did, a part of him always would. He knew that he and Cordelia weren't possible though, not only because she was dead, but because he and Buffy had almost gotten back together already, they'd sorted out a lot of things, and if he was to let anything happen with Cordelia, he would probably never be able to put the pieces back with Buffy again.
"Yeah," he replied softly,œI do."
Angel stood up and faced Cordelia. Soft tears began to roll down her cheeks. She smiled. She gave him a big hug and they held each other tightly.
"Angel, it's been a beautiful adventure even knowing you, goodbye." she said. She began to fade away into a purple cloud, until she disappeared altogether.
Angel was left standing still, was he really never going to see Cordelia again?
"Good bye." he said softly.

OK so you are teasing and building up to the Bangel/Cangel confrontation scene...right?
Found the argument a little long but it was a good set-up for the Cordy/Angel discussion in the alley. Like the "are they gonna see each other again" vibe you left.

LOL cool! thanks a lot I really tried to get into that 'bitch Buffy' we all know as I commeneted on the last post lol.
ok, I just want to try something. I wanna take a short break on this and see what everyone thinks of the fic as a whole and I want some of you to guess what is gonna happen lol. You might have t0 re-read parts of it or maybe just reflect on it all, but I'd appreciate it a lot if you could make a comment stating your thoughts on the fic as a whole and your estimation of the ending - I may even change parts coming if people can make requests, but I can't please everyone! THANKS!

Well who's fic is this? Yours or ours? I think you should just keep writing then maybe use readers thoughts or ideas that come spontaneously and incorporate them into your story if you think it fits. Keep this your fic.

Two Days Ago"¦

Nick wasn't really as scared as he thought he would have been. He didn't really have to be any more. There's nothing to be scared of in downtown New York right? He kept asking himself the same question. He could either walk all the way down 31st street, then through the arcade, or he could cut straight through and go home through the alley. He was going to be fine if he didn't look at anyone after all.
"Just keep your head up," he murmured, "don't make eye contact, and move quickly."
As he neared the alley, he began sweating. When he reached the end, he could see straight through to 30th, which was where he had to be. It was only about 100 meters of darkness in between him and his destination, which was bathed in light.
He began on his way, looking straight ahead. He passed what looked like a sleeping homeless man, but he didn't take his time to make any major observations, the quicker he got out of here the better. There wasn't time for hold ups.
From behind him, he began to hear foot steps. He listened for a moment, but the noise had stopped. He clenched his fists tightly. If he was going to be jumped tonight, he was going to be ready. Slowly he turned around, to see no one behind him. He began walking again, and after a couple of seconds, he again heard footsteps, but this time more. He was obviously being followed.
Nick sighed. "Okay bro," he said, turning around, "come out and we'll settle this."
He reached for his pocket knife, and held it tightly in case he would have to use it. Turning around, he again saw no one. Something really strange was happening, he knew that much, and he guessed he was going to be pounced on at any moment.
Looking around, he saw nothing.
Suddenly, there was a swift noise from behind him, where he had been facing before. He quickly turned around, to see two men. They were of average build, he could probably take them both, he thought to himself. He looked at there hands, neither had a weapon. One of them spoke, but Nick couldn't clearly see his face.
"You're dead"¦ bro!" one of them yelled, mocking as well a threatening him.
Suddenly, he ran at Nick, pinning him to the floor. Nick could now clearly see the man's face. It wasn't human. His teeth were pointed, like fangs, and his forehead stuck out in certain places where it shouldn't have. His eyes were yellow, which meant he was either wearing some really cool coloured contacts or he was a monster. Going with his other observations, Nick gathered he was a monster. The man opened his mouth and lowered towards Nick's neck. In a state of shock, Nick couldn't move.
The man let out a ferocious growl and bit into Nick's neck. There he was, lying on the floor, with a monster on top of him, (which he had now realised was a vampire) drinking blood from his neck. He was going to die if he didn't do anything.
Suddenly, he could move again. He gathered all his strength and threw the vampire right off of him, where it went flying into a brick wall. Nick charged at him, he felt as if something had come over him, something primal, something unique, he felt like no body else in the world. His body felt supercharged, but much more than it had the other times. This time, he didn't fight it. He let his insides take control.
He picked up the vampire by the scuff of his shirt, holding him a couple of feet above the ground. Quickly, he slammed the vampire to the floor, and jumped on top of him. He started punching the monster, until his face changed back into what looked like a normal person. This wasn't going to stop Nick though, what he'd seen had been enough to make him kill this beast. Instinctively, he reached for a piece of wood about a meter away and penetrated it right into the vampire's chest. It suddenly exploded into a pile of dust. Nick was amazed, he wasn't even sure how he'd known to do that.
"Wow!" he said to himself.
About ten metres away, he could see the other vampire, running away. He picked up the stake again, and threw it as hard as he could. He aimed for the back of its chest. The vampire screamed, and in the distance, Nick saw him fall into a pile of dust.
Nick dropped to the floor and shuffled back aginst the wall. He put his hand to his neck wound to stop the blood, but he noticed that it had already stopped bleeding. He looked at his hands and ran his fingers through his short dark brown har. His olive coloured arms were undamaged, unhurt.
"What the hell just happened?" he asked himself, totally confused.

First plot twist...very good! Definitely looking for more chapters now. Well done.
