There were things I absolutely hated about high school, but there was some good.
The Good
-I worked very hard academically and it paid off. I sucked in Science though, but I never wanted to pursue that in college, so it didn't bother me.
-I had a great group of friends. I wasn't in the "popular" crowd, but I didn't care. I was happy with my group. It's funny because I was just talking about this with my best friend from high school and we realized we were like the "seers" or "watchers" at our high school. Like Xander, we saw and observed almost everything when people didn't think we were. 🙂
-Many of my teachers liked and respected me. I never sucked up to teachers, like a lot of people did (which never worked out for them).
The Bad
-My high school was VERY clicky and full of snobs. Some of the "popular' girls would talk to me in class, and I would think maybe they are nice, but outside the classroom...I was dead to them. They completely ignored me, although we had just chatted in class. Some of the "popular" guys did this too. I will never understand why people do this. It gets me really angry.
-I was the person some people, mainly the "popular" crowd, would ask for help, whether it be "What's the homework?" or "Can I copy the homework questions? I forgot to write them down." At first, I didn't mind it. But, when they constantly kept asking me for them, I knew they were now just being lazy. I was way too nice back then, so I just gave it to them.
-One of my best guy friends, who I had a major crush on, ended up asking another girl out and dated her for our final 2 years in high school. It didn't help when we still continued to hang out and I still had feelings for him, and I know he felt something for me too. I'm much like Willow in this situation, but I never acted on it, especially when he was in a relationship.
-I had a lot of personal things going on at home, which made me dread coming home sometimes.
