Did Wesley make the right decision?

Did Wesley make the right decision in taking Connor

Of course he did the right thing. He spent weeks on the prophecy and the Father Will Kill the Son is pretty explicit. His only mistake was not telling his friends. BUT watching the season 3 overviwe on the DVD made me realised that the others weren't helping him to talk to them.
Angel was acting REALLY weird lately so even I would not have told Angel.
Cordy was gone.
Gun and Fred were always together, in love and considering that Wes was in bad terms with Gun and uncomfortable with Fred, it's understandable that he didn't tell them.

So it leaves Lorne. He is the neutral one of the bunch. Of course he don't know him really well but they could have do something together to be sure(Lorne reading Angel or something....)

So... good decision but wasn't a perfect plan.

Anyway, it's not like Wes would have never talk to the gang ever if he would have succeded to take Angel away. That bitch Justine is the reason why it went wrong...
 
he could of somehow warned angel about what he was doing, but in the end i'm surprised angel couldn't see the good of it. they did a good job of making it seem like wes turned evil
i wonder what it would of been like if wes had him instead of holts.

Yes, but he was the leader of the group and being a leader doesn't mean moping over the inevitable and then making a decision without consulting anyone else. Wes had a few other options and should have thought carefully before giving Connor to Holtz. He could have just took Connor and run.

Yes, I do agree with that. He knew his "gang" though, he should of went to them and they could of battled through whatever they needed to as they always do. I'm sure that it was written the way it was so that we could have more plot...it is interesting to follow even as much as I wish he would of told somebody.
 
His heart was definitely in the right place, but he should've thought his plan through a little more thoroughly and alerted the rest of the group so they could figure it out together, instead of going all loner and trying to handle everything by himself. In the end, that was the worst decision he made.
 
Llike many of you have said before, I think Wes's heart was in the right place. He thought what he was doing was the right thing, so we can't fault him on that. As far as telling the rest of AI...Wes's psyche at that time had him immersed in the prophecies to distract him from his own problems concerning Fred and maybe even his own feelings of isolation. He seemed lonely to me through that whole season. I don't think I can blame him for not telling the gang. Not the smartest move on his part, but at that time, it's the only thing that made any sense to him.
 
Wes didnt make the right decision, he should have told the others. I do think Angel so overeacted by trying to smother Wesley and shouting abuse at him. Wesley made a huge mistake but Justine was the one who took the baby from him and gav ehim to Holtz.
 
I agree that his heart was in the right place and that he probably felt too alienated from the rest of the group at the time, but still... why on earth would he conspire with Holtz, who he knew hated Angel? How would that be keeping the baby safe? Why wouldn't he just take Conner himself and run?
 
I do and I dont, he had signs showing him that Angel would kill Connor, but I think he should have told Angel what was going on and they could of sorted it out..
 
He did what was right. Even if he did tell Angel, it wouldn't have changed anything. W & H put Conners blood in Angels pig blood. Cause of his somewhat strange behavior. And they still dont know Wesleys side to everything. They always assume. *When you assume you make yourself look like an jack*ss*

he did not make the right decison cause hes stupid and it was wrong to do that and hes say angel is his friend but he goes and kidnapps angel son and gives him to someone else and now angel wnats to kill him and thats good for angel
 
I really don't think he made the right choice. I think he should have left Connor with Angel.
 
Given the information he had, he definitely made the right choice. They had no reason to note believe the prophecy...most prophecies on ATS/BTVS have a tendancy of coming true. Also, Angel was drinking his son's blood already...creating that animalistic craving that vampires inherently have for human blood.

It was one of the most stupid decisions that Wes had ever made. He should have told Angel . . . or at least Gunn and Fred, so they could look further into the matter.

Considering his emotional state at the moment, Wes should not have acted.

I get the feeling that many are trying to condone or excuse Wes' decision, because they want to. He made a mistake . . . a big mistake. I believe that was the message that ME was trying to convey.
 
Yes, Wesley did make a big mistake, he screwed up, and messed up everything....but I still agree with his decision. He truly believe that 'the father will kill the son.' He was very, shall we say, scared for both Connor and Angel and wasn't thinking rationally. He should have told someone, but he didn't and now Wes is paying dearly for his mistake.
 
I think he made the right descision. I myself would have probably have done the same thing in his position. But yet I would probably have descussed the prophecy that he had found out about with the others. Because then maybe then they would have understood afterward why he took him, or maybe they could've found someway of making sure Angel didn't eat Connor (Even though the prophecy was a fake and Holtz was behind it)

But over all thing could've been tooken cared of differently, but I think he did do the right thing.

No, he didn't. It was stupid. If you really thought Wes had done the right thing, then why do you feel he should have told the others about the prophecy? By not telling them, he did the wrong thing. He made a stupid mistake. And I am surprised that so many people are willing to condone his actions.
