If he was a Watcher, why was he working at Wolfram and Hart?

Sirk was the translator who translated the 'new' passages of the shanshu prophecy, sending Spike and Angel on their wild goose chase for the cup of perpetual torment and consequently, led to their truely excellent fight.

Got this issue today in the mails. Someone here mentioned Faith possibly protecting Buffy from Roden's magic. I totally didn't notice that. I just assumed Faith likes Lady G enough to not want her chopped in half, or she would have done it herself way earlier.

Bugged me a little that Buffy again teleported in and out of a country, like anything can happen now if that's possible. But then I remembered this is a series where the main character has died and been ripped from heaven and her sister is a key-made-flesh and her best friend can fly and almost ended the world, so whatev.

i just read this and i'm in the 'Faith tried to save Buffy from Roden' camp. it seemed to me like she saw the blast coming and pushed her out of the way. i mean she was thinking 'please be the deep end' if she was really trying to kill buffy, she wouldn't care about which end they landed in, as long as she got the job done. i know, some people might think she was only caring about herself, but Faith's not like that. she doesn't really think that logically.

does anyone else think that there's someone messing with Faith's head? when the narrative started, i thought it was just Faith, thinking back on past events, but in this issue, she was tlaking to what i thought was her inner voice as if it was a completely seperate person. i think either this Faith/Hope persona is, literally, splitting her personality in two, or there's someone inside her mind, planting thoughts and ideas.

this whole thing with Buffy...i don't know where it's gonna go. Faith seemed really mad that Buffy wouldn't listen to her, or believe her. i'm scared that she's really gonna go over the edge.

I think this was one of my favorite issues so far because there was some real action. I am really excited to see what happens in the end. I am also aboard the "Faith saving Buffy" ship. I don't think she would waste all of the building up of trust between Buffy and Giles. She tried to hard to get back in to waste it on some rogue slayer. I think she has changed.

Got this yesterday, but been so busy with jobs havent had a chance to comment.
Not one of my favourite issues. Although it was still good, but didn't seem to pack in the same amount of info that most of the issues have.
I think Faith is really concerned about what happens to Gigi.. Id say just as much is she is about Buffy. And I get that she always has that part of her that wants to blame other people, but just because that's the easiest option sometimes (when she was drowning Buffy). I like Buffy, but damn she pisses me off with the giant assumptions about Faith. I don't know if Buffy and Faith will ever be friends again, which sucks. So anyway I'm in the Faith was protecting both Faith and Gigi, but when I first read it, seemed like it was just to save Gigi.. or save Buffy from killing someone and becoming her.

So what's up with Roden's book. He says 'the guidebook says you're about to bleed all over (the floor) aswell.' Is it some sort of Twilight guidebook full of spells and prophecies all wrapped up in one book? Very convenient of them. Love the art on the last page, gorgeous and sad.. Gigi is obviously really hurt by Faith lying to her. I'm not sure if she's obsessive freaky towards Faith or just upset, cause she hasn't had any real friends.

The more I look at that page the more it looks like Faith is saving Buffy. Once you notice Roden up there in the the balcony, charging up his magic, the more it becomes a priority. Plus Faith doesn't shout out "Buffy, no!", as in no Buffy don't hurt her, she just shouts "Buffy!" as in Buffy, look out. Also when they're in the pool and Faith tells Buffy she's on her side, I get the feeling Faith is sincere. I don't think she's saying it out of fear of Buffy. That just isn't Faith.

Speaking of the book. It has the insignia of the Twilight. Why would the Twilight not want a slayer army with Buffy in charge, but want one with Gigi in charge? Gigi is the looser cannon. Have we considered the possibility of the Twilight organizing this battle with some kind of sneakier agenda in mind. Like maybe Gigi is just a pawn in something that doesn't involve her being Slayer Queen. If that were the case, what would Gigi think once she discovered it was all a trick, I wonder. I keep expecting to meet Gigi's father. They keep mentioning him, but he never shows up.
