Buffy rocks! I noticed to Buffy seems really sad in all the series and she keeps the pain to herself.

"Buffy seems to get very sad when she meets/thinks about Angel. "

I love them both hope one day they'll end up together. but then I feel sorry for Spike and I kind of want her to be with him too. We all know Buffy truly ever loved only one man, Angel and she deserves happiness
 
Anyone ever notice, even after her death in season 5 they routinly show Joyce in at least one episoid a season (season 6 when she's hullicinateing and many other times in season seven **conversations with dead people** and now season 8) no real purpose, it's just...JOYCE IS AWSOME!
 
That's one nice thing about the Buffyverse... although our friends tend to get killed off with disturbing regularity, all the magic mojo floating around means there's always a way to bring them back. "Just because they're dead doesn't mean they're gone," JW said recently about the possibility of Anya or Tara making reappearances in season 8... or 9 or 10, or whenever.

Now, there was reference way back in issue #1 to Andrew having to deal with a Spanish vamp nest that was bigger than they thought...but why would Willow (who wasn't around yet) know about that and Buffy (who was around) NOT know about it?

Perhaps this alludes to the Scoobies and Andrew lying to Buffy in Damage and The Girl in Question?

You mean leaving her out of the loop about how they were dealing with Angel, and apparently never even telling her that Spike was alive?

Or are you referring to something else?
 
I've always wondered about that apparent conspiracy of Buffy's friends deciding on their own what Buffy should and shouldn't know. Hard to believe that could still be continuing into Season 8, given Buffy's very assertive leadership role. I can't imagine what her reaction will be if she *still* hasn't been told about Spike and the other stuff. That could cause a major rift between her and the others.

But it's hard to believe they'd be keeping stuff like routine vamp-fighting reports away from her, unless something really strange is going on.

I'm just wondering if Buffy's timeline is starting to diverge from that of the others because of what she did in the future. Is she starting to become "unstuck in time," having dreams of the past that aren't entirely dreams, and beginning to remember things differently from the others?
 
I'm impressed at how good Buffy looks in her animated form. They really captured her beauty, and even sexiness. She doesn't look much like Sarah, but none of the characters really look like their actors, except maybe for Joyce.
 
This is my favorite issue in a long time. Didn't really dig Wolves and the Gate, Time of Your Life.
I love the art here, and the comedy. Buff more concerned about having fun than saving the world and listening to her watcher. Good times.

I'm not sure that Andrew actually lied to Buffy about those events as much as he simply failed to inform her of what the situation really was in LA. For that matter, any report that he might have given would more likely have gone to Giles, since Andrew was, at that time at least, working directly for him. Most likely Giles would have kept the news of Spike's return from Buffy, as well as the rest of the gang.

For that matter, Buffy might not have any knowledge whatsoever of the existence of Dana or the events surrounding her. Almost certainly she knew absolutely nothing about the events in "The Girl In Question."

It will be interesting to see how Faith reacts to Giles's refusal to help Angel. For now she is aligned with him but if his betrayal (as I think she would view it) comes out, would that push both our slayers back together?
 
My suspicion is that we may see a role reversal for Buffy and Faith before this season is over. Instead of Faith being the out-of-control one and Buffy trying to pull her back, this time it might be a rational and centered Faith trying to save Buffy (and her mission) from Buffy.

The question of Giles, Andrew and the others' handling of Buffy/Angel/Spike during Angel S5 will probably only come out if and when Angel or Spike actually show up in the season 8 comics. If this then pushes a wedge between Buffy and her friends, that may be even more reason why Faith is the only one who can talk to her.
 
I am behind most people with season eight because I generally read them as the trade paperbacks come out (I haven't had the chance to buy Volume 3 yet) but this one looks really interesting...I like the fact that it's just a one-shot. It sounds fun, and I really want to read it.
 
have to be honest, I thought this issue was a bit 'meh' - very much looking forward to the next arc though...
 
I really enjoyed this issue, which was a bit of a shock as after seeing the artwork I thought 'Yuk...this issue is going to suck'.

I warmed to the art work after a few pages and the story was fab, I really enjoyed the little trip back to the scoobie days and I think Jeph Loeb captured it perfectly.
 
After the disappointments of the last arc, I liked this one a lot. It was fun and fluffy and (so far as we know) had absolutely no greater storyline value, and I loved it. It was nice to enjoy a comic, considering the last arc had me considering not buying them anymore (at least not as they came out, maybe in TPB).
 
I just thought, how brilliant would it have been for her to come across evil chip-less soul-less Spike is this issue/episode. Talk about Love/Hate

Found it very funny and relaxing. It was a nice break.

I loved this issue. And not just because Cordelia was in it. I thought her two lines were wack. I was actually happy when she got hit with the shoe for being so lame. My favorite parts were with Buffy and Joyce. I also loved the part where Buffy "thinks back" to Angel saying she looked really beautiful. It was funny.

I would love it if they made this a spin off comic book for the younger readers...... and me.
