Hmm, do I find Angel attractive, now how can I best answer this, I know - how many fingers can I put down my throat at the same time!?

Yes

But Spike moreso 😉
Angel is objectively good looking, but subjectively he does nothing for me. He's almost too traditionally good looking for my liking - there's nothing particularly unique or distinctive about his appearance that draws me to him. That would be all fine and dandy if he had a really great personality, except I don't find his personality attractive either, so he's just meh for me.

Spike, on the other hand? Well, of course he's good looking, but it's more than that. There's something about the way he carries himself, the way he moves through life like he's actually enjoying it. Whenever he's onscreen, I can't look anywhere else - he commands the camera and demands people's attention, and not in a dominant "alpha male" kind of way, but in a rebellious "I'm gonna do what I please and enjoy the life I've been given" kind of way. It's incredibly sexy.

Definitely an each to their own thing. I find Spike very alpha male wannabe and the way hr carries himself annoys the heck out of me.

Spike is pretty much Billy Idol meets Johnny Rotten. I do think there might be some connection there between rock stars and sex symbols. Just a hunch. ;)
Yes I do. I like everything about him honestly. I find Angel very sexy and I love his dark broodiness and shameless pettiness. I think it’s very funny. But that’s just me 😂 Angel as a character I find very interesting which is probably why I prefer his show over Buffy in the long term. Now, I don’t actually find David Boreanaz attractive, or his personality. I think he sucks which is just a mark of how good he is at playing Angel cause I can see them so separately.

Completely agree with this. I think the same. I have seen pictures of David Boreanaz on Bones or his current show Seal Team and honestly I don’t find him very attractive. He isn’t ugly, he has charm, but I’m not attracted anymore and it hasn’t anything to do with his age. But if I watch him as Angel I do find him immediately attractive. I think it’s really the character of Angel for me and how he played it.

I think that is the case. As far as the character, I think the human face of vampires should be more attractive than the man was, but the vamp face should be more skeletal. But that's the limits of makeup.

I would find Angel attractive even if he were just a literary character. It's not DB or Bangel that makes me love Angel, but I find him attractive just as Angel is.
@Plasma you asked me about Bangel but Bangel has nothing to do with it. It's not her love for Buffy that defines Angel's essence.

Yes i do but that fleeting. He seems a bit distant ton me & that why i not into him . J}He has this whole I sad so love me thing going on .

I find Angel attractive. Something about the tall, dark and brooding type. Just recently watched the episode where Buffy had her 18th birthday and she and Angel talk. He tells her how he wants to protect her heart, the way he says he doesn't want it torn or broken. Ooh. There is something about Angel that I can't explain, the way he gets to me.

Ok, objectively yes, he is handsome. No, not my type.

Especially on early Buffy when Boreanaz could not act, i was not enthralled with the puppy eyes. (Especially compared with him in his series, which I followed first)

NOTE:I started as an Ats fan first, BtVS came later.

I loved the first 4 seasons of Angel - before the Connor/Cordelia vomitfest.

I really enjoyed Angel as a character on his series.

Boreanaz is *not* my physical type at all but in later roles, he has grown into his body and his face is more mobile and i find him somewhat engaging. He takes better care of himself than he did back in the Angel days when he began to gain weight. Large man with excess weight. Just no. Now he looks better though he is older. He learned JMs lesson - fit and healthy looks good on screen.

Angel is a fascinating character to watch, but I would not want to be in a relationship with anyone so utterly ruthless and wilful. He also tends to lie to friends/people he loves. I like straightforward people.

Spike and James Marsters are appealing to me. I find Spike electric on screen and he steals most scenes he is in. JM is thin, fit and inhabits his body in a way few men do. He feels alive wirh energy. I love that in both men and women.

I find it hard to accept that members here love Angel, a guy that can be a right evil sod from time to time - a bit like a guy that beats up on women.

I Don’t think that is a fair comparison 😀🤔

It wasn't a comparison, as such. In the real world what would you view him as?

I find it hard to accept that members here love Buffy, a girl who uses violence to solve every problem and think she’s better than everyone, - a bit like a sociopath who is an actual danger to society.

Snyder was right all along.

Or what about Giles, what a creep who’s perpetually hanging out with teenagers - a bit like a guy who is a groomer.

And I’m jesting of course, but I do think the above is a very odd statement for a show about vampires. All the vampires are evil sods from time to time, and all the characters are problematic if we just transplant their behavior in to ”the real world”.

Wasnt that the point? The guy who turns into a prick as soon as he got the sex? He was a little puppy saver when he was all soul having. Spike fed puppies to his girlfriend!
