Do you like season 7 ?

I don't really prefer it. It was okay, it was good. I think the finale is my favorite episode of it. It was so sad that Anya died... and it was sad in general because the show was over.

My favorite scene was in the school, after Buffy gave everyone their places... she walks over to Willow, Xander, and Giles and the four of them stand there for a moment before they start talking about the mall. I started crying right then haha I know it's not really the best scene of the episode, but it was just so great because it was the four of them just like it started out.

Season 7 to me was a well-balanced mixture of all the things that made Buffy so enjoyable over the years. There was the inventiveness of singular episodes (Andrew's hilarious Vam-pyre Storytelling), the interplay between the characters that evolved into the complexity of adult relationships (the gang turning on Buffy and the Buffy / Giles fallout was pretty much a spot on take on the changing roles of a father / daughter relationship when the final leap from the nest is made) and then there were the separate journeys for all the characters, especially Spike's "getting to know you" thing with his soul.

Time to breathe.

An aspect, which was slightly forced and jarring, was the introduction of the potential slayers - not least everyone's favourite, Kennedy. I have no problem with the idea, but due to the time constraints I felt that they were forced too quickly on the show - my gut feeling would have been that three or four more episodes would have been an ideal pacing for them to be introduced. And the big bad was a good idea, but felt slightly ineffectual given that it couldn't really physically appear, although its evil ear whispering did return some cameos from baddies of days gone by.

The ending, despite my misgivings about the First Evil, was superb, even if Anya copped it and didn't get a proper send off. And despite some blood hungry posts on here I was pretty happy that Buffy, Willow, Giles and (of course!) Xander made it through to the end.
