The question is simple, do you like your name? I know many people who are not satasfied with their name, and there are some who are. In which category do you fit in? And what's your name, if you don't mind sharing? Maybe you have some story behind it, greater meaning?

My name is Tajana, as many of you know.. can't quite explain in writing how it's pronaunced, but it's closest to the russian name Tatjana. My mother was considering Sara and Carla, but read Tajana in one book that was popular in her time and decided to go with that. I'm not a big fan of my name, but don't hate it, just think there are prettier ones, ones I like more. I know my name stands for friend or lover.

What's your story?

I think your name is lovely! :)
I hate my name! It's so boring. My name is Danielle ugh.. I was named after my uncle, his name was Daniel and he died before i was born so that's why I have that name, which is kind of sweet but I wish my uncle had a cooler name..
But my last name almost makes up for it, it's Guggenheim.

Actually, that's a name I started liking lately

awww, I like that name!
My name's Oriana, as many of you know. It means golden, dawn (lol), or fair. Not exactly sure how I got my name, my mom is original I guess! I don't love it, especially since I have a hard time saying it, but it's the only one I have. 😉

I like your name :)
I'm okay with my name, neither love it nor hate it. It's a pretty common name, but I have the English spelling instead of the German, so I always have people how to spell my name and they often still get it wrong. My parents were considering "Diana" which I think is a great name but don't think would have suited me very well.

My name is Zoà«. I love my name, it fits me perfectly. My parents choose it because: Zoà« means "life" in Greek and mom wanted a Greek name because she's half Greek... She figured because I was the first person she gave life to... Zoà« was perfect. I don't know when they decided to spell it my way and put the accent, but they did....

I like youw name! :D
I like my name, the whole thing - beginning to end. Liked my middle name so much, I gave it to my son as his first name 🙂

It suits me. I think I look like a Matt.

I used to hate my name until I found out that SMG would be playing a character whose name is my name, in Scooby Doo. Today I think there is some coolness in my name and I like it. My dad picked it, and it was between that and Dana. I went through many years where I wanted to change my name officialy. Now, no way.

So, it's Daphine?? (Not sure I spelled that right)
My name is Mikaela. It's allright. I don't love it, but I think it suits me. I can see myself being a Mikaela. Maybe 'cause I am. 🙂 Everyone I know with my name are really nice and cool people too, I like that 🙂

That's true...every Mikaela I've mets has been pretty cool.
Yeah, I like my name enough. It's Savannah and it suits me perfectly, I'm not even sure why but it just does. 😀. It's good that so many people like their names. I like how nicknameable my name is really. Sav, Savvy, Vanna, Vanna Banna, Vanana, and of course the legendary 'Buffannah' that Alex and Zoe call me. LOL.

Awww, Buffannah is cute!!
You all have such cool names, seriously. 😀

Mine's Joe, and I suppose it's good. I'd have picked something a little more exotic if I had the choice, but it's fine. I love the name Joey though, but it's too late for people to start calling me that. I'll always be Joe. 🙂

My twin's name is Joe. It suits him well.

It's never too late to get a new nickname, Joey!

I've always wanted a "stage name". Something really really special yet not ugly. Something that when people hear it they think of me, and no one else has it.

That's part of why I love my name. It's a lot more common now, but still.... Zoë is a special name and I think it's not too ugly
Well yeah, online it's easy enough to get people to call me Joey.
But in real life, it's a different story. 😀
It's fine though. Joe's grand. I'll take it!

I used to have a friend who hated her name, so she made everyone call her by that particular name she wanted (friends, family, teachers...), and we all did. I've never used her real name. People get used to that in the end.

I quite like my name, because it's spelt the real way and not either of the chavvy ways (I spell it Chelsea, not Chelsey or Chelsei or any other crap like that) & because it has a great story behind it, in that my brother's a hardcore Chelsea fan & my dad lost a bet to him whilst drunk 😛

That sounds like a fun story.
Not a Chelsea fan myself, but the name is cool. 😀

Argh, my karma comment got cut off there -

It was supposed to say That's an awesome story 😀

Not too happy with mine, even though it's not a bad name by itself, but it brings up too many not-so-happy childhood/family memories. Noone ever calls me by it, anyway, except my relatives or the officials. (So no, if you don't know it already, I'm not telling you. 😛)

By the way, if my granddad had won the argument against my mum, I'd be called Hans-Willi. There's been a tradition of a good couple of generations in my paternal ancestry line by that name (back when we still were Dutch, it'd have been Jan-Wellem, of course), but my parents chose to break with that, and so did my uncle when my cousin was born. So my uncle was the last one by that name, and the tradition died with him. Kinda sad thought, come to think of it. 🙁

Friends just accept that I've chosen to go by Ben instead. I'm fine with that one. 🙂

Aww, *hugs*
My name is Katherine Jean and I like it. My parents are from the South so I got a good ol' double name.....it is pretty long so I go by Katie. My mom wanted to name me Eugenia Mae (after my dad, he is a fourth generation Eugene) but my dad didn't like that idea. Gotta say I like Katherine Jean more than Eugenia Mae 🙂
