Do you like your name?

What I love most about my name: the little accent on the "e": Renée. I think that's pretty unique.

My little sister's called Nina, I adore that name, it sounds so cute.
Overall I like both our names.

I have an accent on my "e" too: Zoë! Yay for accents on e's!

I've always loved the named Nina! And I like Renee too. I hate the other way of spelling Renee...Renae.
I can't stand my name - Teresa. What on earth was my parents thinking? I wanted to change it when I was younger but I never got around to it so now I'm just stuck with it. :S

My sisters usually call me Bob or T though so that's okay, at least I don't have to hear the horror too often

That's my mom's name! It's spelled with a "Th" though.

lol "Bob". My family used to call each other Bob. "Hey Bob! Bob's on the phone!"

Aw! I'm sorry. I'll stop calling you Teresa too. :/
My name is spelled wrong and it's haunted me my whole life. I love it though. My name's Jennafer. I go by Jenn, and my family calls me Jenna. My mom loved the TV show Dallas, and there was a character named Jenna on there. But my middle name is Thelma, after my dad's late mother, and Mom thought "Jenna Thelma" sounded too hillbilly, so she made it Jennafer. I've never met another Jennafer, but I've seen the name in credits on TV once. My last name is unique too, as in we're the only family in the US with this name unique. And I'm the only person with my name in the world. Google my name, it's just me you'll find.

In short, I love my name. It took a while to get used to, but it's pretty unique.

I don't hate or love my name. I've gotten used to it. Not much more to it. When I was younger I wasn't too happy about it and wanted to be named Tomas. Points for orginality? 😉 I'm sure the only reason that I'm a Tobias is because my parents liked it (Well duh!) and it was popular at the time. My second name, Lars, I got from both my grand dads so it feels more special.

In Sweden the nickname for Tobias is Tobbe which I got called a lot as a kid/teenager. I didn't mind but my mum wasn't too happy about it. "If I wanted them to call you Tobbe I'd given you that name." Oh well. Doesn't happen nearly as often nowadays. I'm still getting used to foreign online friends calling me Toby.

MinwaraYana agrees: Aww, I'll stop calling you Teresa from now on. ^_^
Zalos agrees: Aw! I'm sorry. I'll stop calling you Teresa too. :/

Oh don't worry guys, I don't mind. It's mainly its Swedish pronounciation that I dislike 🙂

I hate not liking my name because names are given to you by people that love you so I feel it's a dispresctful to openly dislike it, in a sense. That being said, I grew up hating it. I knew others with it and would get mad at my parents over it, actually. I had a couple of fights about it with them. It was down to my name and Jason but my dad figured he knew too many "punks" with that name so that was the end of that one. If I was a girl I would've been named Amanada. I'm still not a fan of my name yet I really dunno what I'd change it to now. People say I suite my name and I also have a hard time saying it; it's not easy having your own name role off your tongue. There are names I know I like, just not sure I could fit most of them. I like having a J name, though.

Oh, my name is Justin.

Mine is Randi. Randi Dawn. I get it from my father's middle name (Randolph) and my mother's first name (Donna). And I LOVE it. Except for one thing. Every once in awhile, someone will feel the need to tell me what "randy" means in England. Yes. I know. This was especially awkward in 9th grade when my principal felt the need to tell me this. Ew.

The only other thing I don't like is that my dad's family calls him "Randy" because his name is David, and his dad was also David, and I get confused....people shout out "Randi" and when I answer, they say "not you, your dad!" And I get mail a lot for "Mr. Randi ......"

Other than that, though, I love it. All my friends call me Randi or Randi Ann, but my family calls me Randi Dawn. Another funny side note about my name (going back to the fact that it's my dad's middle name).... My name is Randi. I am my dad's second child. His name is David Randolph. He was his father's second child. His father's name was Clark David. Kinda cool, huh? The second kiddo takes the parent's middle name as their first. Except I'm not gonna have a Dawn or Don....

My son's name is Dylan Thomas. I LOVE his name. Everyone pretty much pronounces it correctly (Dylan is like Jakob Dylan, who is the son of Bob Dylan, also spelled Dillon), but one lady really made me mad one time when she mis-prounced it. It was when he was about 2 weeks old, and we had to go back to the hospital for a test. She called out his name as "Die-lan" instead of "Dill-on" over the intercom and then started laughing to her friend about what kind of lady names her kid "Die-lan." I was standing right there. And I then proceeded to correct her.

This Year's Girl agrees: Me Tarzan naaaah, kidding. How's my baby doing? Is she liking her name? 😀

LOL, oh, puhLease don't start! hahaha. Yes, she is. 😀 Everyone else liked her name too!!

Oh, and for people who are wondering. Her name is Mikaela Renee! <3

Hello Janette. ;)
I love mine, to be honest!! 😀
The reason is that I live in a country where my name is quite unique because it's Bosnian.

My name's Emily. I don't not like it, but it's pretty common and not very interesting. Still, I'd say I like my name. I like my middle and last names too. 🙂

My name is Elizabeth. I don't mind the name but i have always wanted a middle name like Louise. I think Elizabeth Louise sounds quite nice

I'm not to keen on my name tbh. My name is really 'Natasha lee'
maybe it's just childhood memories that i don't like, and that's what people knew me for 'Natasha'. eugh, but yeah if anyone dares to call me that i look at them oddly like 'who?'
lol. Everyone's always called me Tasha,Tash (my sis calls me 'T' now) my name gets shortened down to everything. ;p
But i wish i had a different name tbh :/

<--- My name haha.

I like it, though my favourite name is Keira (or Kira). My mom actually told me that Keira might have been the name she heard somewhere and wanted to name me, but then forgot it. Coincidental.

My name is Sinéad. I like it well enough. It certainly suits me. My mother wanted a "fine Irish name" and spent her time choosing it. I was 3 weeks old before my parents settled on it.

It's an extremely common name in Ireland but you won't hear it much outside of Ireland. Hence why I have heard such interesting interpretations of its pronunciation abroad. 😉

Spikefan31 agrees: Out of interest, how DO you pronounce it?

I typed Sinéad into youtube and this was the only video that came up that wasn't a Sinéad O'Connor vid. It's not exactly on topic but it's very much of merit and worth watching all the way through. So, watch this and listen to how the young man knocking on doors says Sinéad. That's how you say it 🙂

I didn't expect that twist in the video... Nice! And good thing I heard it, because I would have butchered your first name. :p
My name is Candice Leeann, and while i hated it growing up as most kids do... but now that i'm an adult I actually like my name because I was named after 3 wonderful people in my family. Candice comes from Aunt though I just call her Sissy, Lee is my grandfather on my mothers side's middle name and Ann is my mom's middle name. Then my last name is of course taken from my father. So I have come quite attached. Most people just call me Candi though cause when someone uses Candice i feel as though i'm in trouble lol.

My names Katherine and I hated it growing up so much no one ever called me Katherine unless they wanted a killer glare from one pissed off kid. I was Katie pretty much since birth. I hated my name so much I never even bothered to learn how to spell it correctly until I was like 11 years old.

Now I don't hate it as much but I still prefer to be called Katie unless its for official things. But I do hate whem people misspell my name "katy" or call me kathy.
