Have you tried going on tumblr? Cangel and Bones has a significant following on tumblr. I would try and find some fans on there and see if they can point you to a beta reader.

I am horrible at grammar and well as you know I'm not a big Cordelia fan so I'm not your girl as far as making sure the voicing and characters are done right but I do love when people in the fandom write fics so I do hope you find someone who will help you out. It's hard for bangel writers to find beta readers as well these days so I know the struggle. I just wanted to suggest you try tumblr! Best of luck.
 
Would someone help me edit the last chapter of La Femme Spander? Grammar isn't my strongest skill and I would like guidance in my use of grammar and idioms.
 
I'm actually in the market for a new beta-reader to help as I get back in to writing.

The fic is Faith/Buffy based (obviously) and is a bit on the epic side, so if you're interested (and good with punctuation) then let me know in conversation. 🙂
 
I've got a couple in the works a Buffy/Dragon Age crossover inspired by the fact I dated a character voiced by SMG's hubbie in that game set in-between season nine and ten.

Sword in the Lake is set in the same time and early season ten - no Bangel zealots please

Two Worlds and in Between the events of Buffy season eleven from Connor's POV

The first one is a draft overview with snatches of dialigue, the second two are part writen

I may have write Diverting the Whirlwind at somepoint which is a what if our famous foursome never became vampires starting Darla the vampire slayer
 
Hullo! I'm in need of a beta reader for my crossover, A Gift by Starlight (you can see the first few chapters here: A Gift by Starlight - Chapter 1 - mina_martin - Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon | Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (Anime & Manga) [Archive of Our Own]). It crosses with the world of that other 90s blonde heroine Sailor Moon. 🙂 The story's about to swerve to the Whedonverse and I need someone familiar with it to tell me if I'm getting my characterizations right.

Summary: anyone remember Sailor Moon's mundane, muggle friend Naru? (Or Molly, if you grew up with the dub.) On the fateful night Nephrite was supposed to die protecting her, instead she hears a voice asking if she's ready to be strong, and everything might change...

Ohh this is awesome. I've just published Part One of my Slayer / Marvel crossover on Wattpad. I was actually going to ask here if anyone wanted to beta read it before I shared it, but I didn't know there was a fan fiction section of Buffy Boards until mine was moved to it 😂 I've already uploaded it anyway lol, but anyone who wants to read it is welcome 😊
It's where the Slayer, Selene Teresi, finds out her father is Tony Stark.
 
This can be a problem, knowing enough about the individual tales of the crossover.
Give me a straight Buffy story or even a tale from the Buffy family doing what comes naturally, or not.
Writing in a way that makes sense to the reader, after years of writing critiques in the OWG (Online Writing Groups) on Kelley Armstrong's website I found that telling the truth to people requires a lot of tact, something I was often lacking.

So if you do want a Beta reader have a look at what they have written to see if you like their style, competency. Then send a PM or start a conversation with them to explain exactly what you want.
 
Hey folks! I've got a couple of Buffy fanfics I'm working on. One is a Xander Peggy Sue story It's B/X and the other is a soft cross over with Highlander where Snyder gets eaten in the episode School Hard opening up the slot of Principal which is filled by an immortal that HATES how the Council treats the Slayer. First the Xander story...it has the most changes from the show. First, Angel is in LA due to Xander's future knowledge, second Jesse is alive, third, Buffy set Owen and Willow up and they are currently dating.. Xander was able to convince Tara and her mother to come to Sunnydale and get them out of that situation, Faith is still in Boston and Dawn was created early and is 10. Hank is really wanting to be in this fic for some reason so I'm going with it. So I need help with possible future pairings. The ONLY pairing that is set in stone is Xander and Buffy and I'm planning on keeping Tara gay. So thoughts?

Next is the Highlander cross over. I'm up to the events of What's my Line and I need to know if Kendra's watcher is a Good Watcher, IE Merrick and Giles or a Bad Watcher, IE Quentin Travers. Based on several pieces of evidence in the episode I'm leaning to Bad currently, first she came to Sunnydale in the cargo hold of an airplane, second, she has no last name, third she only has one shirt, I know it could be she only had one shirt WITH her considering her travel arrangements, but the WAY she comments on it really makes it sound like it really was her only shirt. So thoughts on that? Additionally I need help with how the new Principal should handle her situation cause one of the things he's doing is PAYING Buffy $20,000 a week for being the Slayer and he firmly believes that Kendra deserves the same, but he's not really ready to get on the Council's radar yet because civil war. So HELP...please?

these two fan fics you are working on, how much have you written on each?
Have you made up a reason how Xander knew of Tara and her mothers situation.
I would suggest you start the fan fic yourself. For it to be as you are happy with it, then ask for pointers about which way you could move the story,

You say you are doing a Highlander cross-over but you don't know if Kendra's watcher is a good one, or if Kendra only has one shirt, how much of the fic is going to be a Buffy one or a Highlander one?

Alternatively ask one question at a time, you'll probably get a better answer.
