That was great! I loved those lines!
Defintely anya as a human! I love how she said "humans make the same mistakes over and over" - so true!
Her innocence makes for such comedy yet such sadness (ie "The Body")!

Lol, definetly. But id still prefer to have innocent, witty and charming anya rather than demon anyanka - but any anya is better than none, i suppose! Lol.

I love 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' because the entire show is a web of metaphors. Having Anya revert to her demon roots seems utterly significant given that her human status has tested her inherent humanity. I think next season we are going to find Anya in a dissociative state--not relating to her calling as a demon. After all, her tranmogrification is only due to her human prowess. She wanted only love and received a cold shoulder and as a result, she again became a demon. I believe her choice to do so was rather inadvertant for she was in pain due to her human plight. It makes for a fascinating character arc--she stated over the seasons how she sometimes wished she had her powers back, but now that she does, she might find that you gotta be careful what you wish for. I like that she is a demon; it's oddly much like Spike retrieving his soul. Season 7 is gonna rock!

I think Anya is better as a human, personally. First of all, she is just so loveable as Anya, the human. The quirky comments that she makes is what attracted such a big audience to the character.
Secondly, she doesn't serve much purpose as a demon. As a human, she was part of the Scooby Gang and had a fiancé. But now, as a demon, she no longer belongs with the Gang and can't even hurt Xander because she loves him. So what is she? Just another demon co-existing on the show. Plus, this is just what I think, but she won't last long as a demon. Even though she is hurt by what Xander did, she can't help but be in love with him and she'll probably come back to Xander somehow.

Lol - i ::heart:: reading your posts. Again, i found myself intrigued by all your views, and found myself agreeing with most, if not all, of them.
S7 is gonna just kick ass!
I agree, Faith tvs about all your thoughts - shes not gonna last long as a demon and if she did, she would just be another demon co-existing on the show, with no real place.

😀

I don't mind as long as she's on the show, but in the eps when Joyce died i definately prefered her human! I thought it was so sad when she broke down, i cried like a baby!

Human - without a doubt! I ::heart:: her innocence, her way of speaking, her cuteness! It all makes for comedy yet some heart-breaking sadness...

I think i prefer her as a human, i hate seeing any member of the scoobs be an outcast, i feel sorry for Anya sometimes becuase she is always left out and not everyone like her. Anya's the most entertaining character on Buffy, she brings fun into the show, which i think is what Angel needs, someone like Anya, becuase Angel is getting very dark like it was for season 6 of Buffy, well in my opinion anyways. So, yeah, human Anya lol!

Her reaction and innocence to joyces death REALLY touched me! Superb actress, emma is.

Spike Lover, i hear ya and totally agree!!

Some people may say that I am a bit emotional but as soon as I saw her performance I was (lituraly) crying my eyes out. . . . . it felt like someone I had known had died but I never knew her personally, and I think that was a really great way she did it. How? that is the one question i have spent my life wondering . . . . . . .

I think that it doesnt matter if Anya is a vengance demon or human aslong as shes there....weve seen her as both and she great both ways....although i must admit i feel a bit safer knowing shes now human

also in responce to some other Buffy fans feelings about Anyas reaction to Anyas performance in The Body there is a thread dedicated to that beautiful performance
