I love 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' because the entire show is a web of metaphors. Having Anya revert to her demon roots seems utterly significant given that her human status has tested her inherent humanity. I think next season we are going to find Anya in a dissociative state--not relating to her calling as a demon. After all, her tranmogrification is only due to her human prowess. She wanted only love and received a cold shoulder and as a result, she again became a demon. I believe her choice to do so was rather inadvertant for she was in pain due to her human plight. It makes for a fascinating character arc--she stated over the seasons how she sometimes wished she had her powers back, but now that she does, she might find that you gotta be careful what you wish for. I like that she is a demon; it's oddly much like Spike retrieving his soul. Season 7 is gonna rock!
